You Need an ACCOUNTABILITY Partner. Here's Why!?!

Andy Neary argues that loneliness and failed goals are common when working alone, even with online connectivity. He credits accountability partners Michael and Jim with helping him finally hit big goals, and recommends weekly check-ins focused on one task.

Do you have an accountability partner? Listen, I find it so amazing right now that our world is more connected today than it's ever been through social media and LinkedIn, yet people are more lonely today than they've ever been. And business is no different. If you're out there today trying to succeed in your career and you're trying to go it alone, it's going to be a long journey of frustration and it's going to be a long time before you ever achieve success. What you need is an accountability partner. Listen, big goals, big success eluded me for the longest time because I'd set these big goals at the beginning of the year. I'd take the steps or write the steps down I needed to achieve that success, but no one was holding me accountable. So I'd start making excuses and I'd move away from the priorities I needed to focus on. And I never come close to hitting those goals. But everything changed when I connected with an accountability partner. In fact, I have two right now. Michael and Jim, you are tagged in this post. You see, once I was held accountable each and every week to achieve one goal, one task, the game changed and it can change for you. So here's what I want you to do. I want you to go out and find an accountability partner today. If you do not have one, it could be a colleague in your industry, somebody on your team, but I want you to find that person. And each and every week I want you to set up a call, a meeting at the same time, at the same date. And I want you to hold each other accountable for achieving one thing, one task that's going to take you one step closer to achieving your goals. So here's what I want you to do. If you don't have an accountability partner today, take this video and share it with somebody you would like to be accountability partners with. And if you have an accountability partner, tag that person in the comments below. Let us know that you are already taking the right steps toward achieving big, massive goals in your career.
