Buckle up. It's time to go to school with the annuity sales coach.
Hello everyone, Chad Owen. With retirement realized, it is time for a Live Drive vlog. It's been a little bit since I've done one of these, a shorter one, and I'm going to share with you something I've already done one time. But I think it's really going to help because it helps me a lot in getting annuity sales. It helps me getting money away from brokers. And one of the common things I run into, and we all know this, brokers, bank bankers, financial guys, they all say they don't like annuities. Even have guys out there saying I'd rather die and go to hell than sell annuities. Annuities are horrible. We hear it all the time. And like I said, I know I've discussed this before but I think it's really important to bring it up again because quite frankly, we just grew an enormous amount in our retirement realized agents academy. We're picking up agents right and left. We're helping them change their business. We're getting success story after success story. And quite frankly guys, it's just because we are in the business of annuities. I am out there every single week. I just drove 150 miles to one appointment. Now I'm heading 150 miles to the next appointment. And I ended up getting about 1.5 million in potential business. This one. I'm actually meeting with them again on Monday to write 1.1 million and a quarter. And then I'm going out of the country for two weeks. So I meet with the other couple to do another million and a quarter. So actually it's even more than that. But when I'm out running appointments I can help agents when it's a when, when it's a marketer or an IMO bga, I know they want to do the right thing, but it's so hard to be trained by Someone who's not in the field. And I use this because this is how I came up with this saying I had it, and this was about two years ago, but I've been. I brought it back up in my. In my little toolbox recently because I'm hearing more and more people, once again, saying things negative about annuities. And I say this. I go, you know what? Just out of curiosity, so your broker, they make what, 1%, 2% off of you? Yeah, yeah, they make that. Would it be safe to say that they don't want to move. They don't want you to move your money away from them because you're their annuity? And it always gets a triggered reaction like, huh, what do you mean by that? Well, think about this. If you keep paying your broker or your banker 1 to 2% per year, whether you're winning or losing, so in other words, you get no guarantees for that 1 to 2%, but they get paid year after year off of your money. Aren't you their annuity? Aren't you the one that supplies their income as long as you're still alive? So I say, what would you rather have? Would you rather be your broker's annuity making money off of you even when you're losing money, or would you rather protect and secure your own with a guaranteed income for the rest of your life and last as long as your life? So do you want to be your broker's annuity, or do you want to have your own annuity? And the response has been phenomenal. Where people get this little light bulb declare, likes this little thing that changes, and they're going, man, I never thought of it that way. I never thought of it like that. And once again, this isn't a slam to brokers. It's just, we got to realize that when you need money that's guaranteed for income for the rest of your life, that's something that we can provide and we get to do. Like I said, we have to know what we are and what we're not. Now, there's a lot of y' all out there that actually do annuities. And. And you also manage money. That's great. But be sure you're allocating the amount of money that needs to be used for guaranteed income and the amount of money that can be at risk or afford to be at risk. It's okay to have that. But once again, for someone to put all of someone's money at risk when we know they need guarantees, it doesn't even make sense. So help Your clients get their own annuity instead of being the broker's annuities for someone else. And we also have if you can google this, I remember there's a Susie Orman article. She's mentioned it a couple of times about how I hate annuities, I don't like annuities. But then it's found out she had a good chunk of her money in annuities. And there's this little YouTube video says Suze Orman likes annuities. Just pull this YouTube thing up, save it onto your desktop and you'll see that she says she doesn't like variable annuities. She likes annuities that produce income or things that are guaranteed. And once again, that's not exactly how she worded it. But use things like that. People that are generally say they against annuities promoting our products, it's very helpful. The more we get in our industry, the better it is for us, the better it is for our clients. And by allowing them to operate in safety and security, guaranteed income, they can never outlive with no risk to the market. Thank you very much guys. You have a great day. Happy selling.
