Don't worry about the how!

April argues you're stuck because you're obsessing over how to get what you want, not because the path is impossible. Write down exactly what you desire, visit it in person, act like you already have it, and stop waiting for permission. She built a business from welfare by moving first and figuring out the details after.

Hey everybody, where y'all at? Where y'all at? Where y'all at? I got something to tell you right quick because I'm about to drive through the country picking up my grandbaby, um, so we can go head out and do some things today. Her mama wasn't there to get her, so where y'all be? Where y'all be? I want to share something with you real quick, real quick. You get my baby? Get my baby. You know, I'm one of them— I'm one of those, um, grandmothers who— I'm an active grandma. Active grandma. Hey, hey, hey, y'all, come on in. Hey, Denise. And for those of you that, uh, always talk about me driving and talking, I do— I did go and get— I got the little— what is it— HyperGear, and it's right here on the dashboard so I can drive and talk. Hopefully it stays, it stays. So I'm waiting on my grandbaby to come out because we're headed to the city because we got some things to do. But I wanted to drop this on you really quick. Stop worrying about the how. Some of you won't dream big and do bigger things because you're concerned about how am I going to do it. It's not up to you to worry about the how as much as it is for you to believe and know that you can do it. You have to set an intention. Doesn't matter what it is. You have to set an intention to do it. So what we'll do is we will say, "I would love to have this," but we'll look at the means that we have. See, this is how you got to— you got to change it around. You got to switch it around. You don't look at the how. You look at— you put out forth the intention and then everything to make it come together starts to work. Okay? So for instance, You see a house that you like and it's out of your budget, right? But you know you like this. You don't sit back and say, you know what, this is nice to sit back and admire and sit back to have and watch everybody else have these things. You don't do that. What you do is you say, that's the kind of home that I want. You go look at the home. You go take a tour of the home. You sit back, if it's a new car you want, you go to the car lot and you drive the car that you want to drive. If you want to start a new business, You go around to businesses that are like your business that you want to start and you start feeling what it feels like to be in that position, to own it. If you want to be married, you go to David's Bridal. Hello, somebody. You go to David's Bridal and you go feel what it feels like to start looking at wedding dresses. And fellas, if it's the same thing to you, you better go to what, what, the Men's Warehouse to go look at some tuxedos, whatever it is, wherever y'all go, you go do that. You never worry about the how. You never worry about the when. You just set your intention. I take calculated risk all the time. What we're getting ready to go do today, I don't have the budget to purchase this $1.25 million building. $1.2— yeah, $1.5 million building. I don't have that, but that's not my concern. That's not my concern. Hey, Mama! You want to say hi? Come say hi. Come say hi. Hi. Say hey everybody. Hey. I got picked up from school early. Kissy kissy, boop boop. Thank you. So it's not up to you to worry about the how. It's up to you to set your intentions because what will happen is once you say this is what I want, this is what I desire and you feel that thing. See, you can say it in your mind over and over again and say it at home but when you get out and be a part of the very thing that you want. Like I said, if it's a new car, if you want a new Maserati, go test drive a new Maserati. If you want, uh, a new, uh, house in, in the suburbs or wherever you want to live, you got to go do that. Ain't no more naming and claiming it. It's called think, being intentional and going to get it, okay? If you want to, if you want to be in a relationship, what do you do? You go out, you get dressed, you go out, you go do you. That's what you, that's what you do. You're gonna live on purpose is what— if I go that way, it's gonna cut off. So you— because if I go to— so we're gonna go this way. So it's up to you to do— to put the intentions, your intentions out there, and stop worrying about the means, what you have. And how can I start a business and I don't have no money? Honey, I started my business with $50 from a welfare check, homeless with 3 babies. I didn't know what I was doing, but I set forth the intention that I would not work at 8 to 5 the rest of my life, and I haven't. My last 8 to my 9-to-5 job was when my now soon-to-be 23-year-old was in the 4th grade and my, uh, 18-year-old when he was in kindergarten. They don't know what it's like. What grade? William was in the 2nd grade when I had my last job and he's 20 now. So it's not about your means. That's what stopped most people from manifesting what it is that they want. They're looking at what they can do. If you could do it, baby, you would have already done it. It's not about what you can do. It's about what you put your intention towards and have an expectation. Okay, let's Stop right there real quick. Most people don't have an expectation because every time you say, "I want this, but..." Well, there aren't any good, you know, "I want a good man, but..." You know, these women, you know, "I would love to have a wife, but..." You don't have an expectation. See, you have to change your vocabulary, baby. You have to change your vocabulary. And when you change your vocabulary and the actions, then things else, everything else will change. Everything starts with a thought. Your thoughts become your actions. So, think about the fact that You, you already know you got to get up and go to work in the morning, right? So you already think that, and so your body gets up and follows and go follows through with getting up, going to work. Okay, I'm gonna need him to go on ahead. I told you I've worked out my road rage, so I'll just go around. I don't, I don't, I don't go off on nobody no more. So you have to stop worrying about the how and set forth the intention of I'm going to have this. Nice things, being wealthy, having good health, having a happy family, being in a loving marriage is not reserved for everybody else. Everybody else that you see have it, it's not just for them, it's for you too. But they set the intention and they don't make no apologies for being great. I don't make no apologies for being great. I don't make no apologies for being a bomb.com. I believe I'm fabulous. Did I always believe that? No. Because I was taught that, you know, to take what you're given, you know, just take the crumbs. Mason don't take no crumbs no more. We don't do that. Like I said, I don't have the money to go get— do buy this building, but guess what? That has nothing to do with me. Nothing to do with me. So whatever it is that you want— I've had a lady tell me, "Hey, Miss April, I want to get married, but I don't have any prospects." So? That's not your problem. Your, your thing is to be intentional about saying, I want to get married and I want to meet someone this year, so I'm going to do my part. When you get on purpose, things are drawn— you are— you attract things to you. So when you sitting in the house constantly complaining, constantly looking at what everybody else got, always sitting back watching television and just admiring— I don't— here it is, I don't want to just inspire you to be— to emotionalize you. You know, you get inspired, you get those emotions coming through. I want to inspire you to get your butt up and go do something. I want you to— I want I want to inspire you to execute. That's what I want to inspire you to do, okay? Because when you just get inspired, that means you got emotionalized for a moment, but it wasn't enough to make you get up and go do anything. That's why I need you at the Redesign Your Life Tour. Join me in Houston, Atlanta, New York, Chicago, Memphis, DC, and Los Angeles starting March 23rd. Go to redesignyourlifetour.com to get your tickets because these are the things that we're going to be discussing because nobody's holding you back but you. Your circumstance, it don't matter no more. You grown. Your life is in your hand. The only person that can save you is you. If you're not where you want to be, it's because number one, most people have no clue of what they want. They're not clear. They'll say, "I want to be wealthy." But what does that mean? For one person, wealthy might mean money. For other— someone else, it might be wealthy in spirit, wealthy, you know, in friendships, you know, wealthy and have wealth, health, and knowledge. So, you got to know exactly what you want and most people don't know what they want. That's why you hear so many people say, "I want to live my dream," but then when you ask them what their dream is, they have no clue because what happened is you might have had a dream when you were smaller, but now that you're older and life start happening, you don't have that dream anymore. You do the day-to-day. You're a hamster on a wheel. You become a robot. So most people have no clue what their dream is. So how can you be intentional about a thing if you have no clue of what the crap you want? It don't work like that. You have to know what you want, and then here's the other piece: don't be afraid of wanting it. Don't be afraid of desiring it. And that's where we mess up, because a lot of times we don't believe that we deserve it. So it's like, I really want that nice house over there, but you know, I don't really need that. We'll find reasons to talk ourselves out of having nice things. We'll talk ourselves out of, or we become, we put up coping mechanisms. Like, we'll talk ourselves out of wanting a mate. Well, I really don't need a man, you know, I can do this myself. So the substitute is a little poodle. Boop! They're gonna get a little doggy, a little doggy. That's my friend. I get to go, I get to go take my little doggy to the pet store and go buy him little outfits. And you know, I can go out to dinner now with my doggy, and I can go take my doggy to the dog park and on vacation and on the airplane with me. That's my now new companion, even though I wish I had a man. Come on, people, y'all know I'm telling the truth. You know I'm telling the truth. So we, because we may not have seen the other side— we've seen the bad side, but we may not have seen the, the other side— we put up, you know, we deal with these, we find a way to cope with not having a thing. And I'm saying you don't have to not have it. You just got to get out of your own way and start believing that you can have and go get it. Set yourself up for success. I come to you every time I go live with an agenda, and my agenda is to help you understand just how fabulous and great you are, to help you understand that only you can change your life. No buts, no more buts. You know, a lot of you, you'll reach out to me and want to tell me your story. It's not that I don't want to hear your story, it's that you're— and nor— 9 times out of 10, you're answering your own question while you're asking me the question. You You just gotta trust yourself enough to do the right thing for you. It's okay to be a little selfish for you, honey. I learned how to say no. I learned how to say no. And some folks I had to learn how to say, "Hell no, I ain't doing it." And you know, it might make them feel uncomfortable, but it makes me feel real good because at this point I've learned how to put me first. Had I always done it? No. Had I always dreamed big? No. Because I was always looking within my means. And so, for instance, I heard Um, I heard a pastor say this a long time ago. He said, if you want a new car, stop saying I want a new car to just get me from point A to point B. If you can't afford a point A to point B car, why can't you say I just— I want a nice car? You can't afford a nice one, and you can't afford a point A to point B beat up piece of crap either. So why not think big? If you don't— if you want to live in a nice area but you're living in an area that you really can't afford anyway, but it's in the hood, so you can't afford either one. So why not go for the, the one that's in a nicer area, better schools, um, better environment, you know, for, for your children, better, better environment for your sanity? Why not just go for the bigger thing? We've been accustomed to going for the latter. I don't do that no more. My daughter and I, we were talking today because this is, this is day 4 for her as an entrepreneur. Say hey. Hey, you gonna say hey? You gotta take your glasses off. This is her day 4, so she— we've been, we've been getting some things together. Don't touch it, don't touch it. I can't see. Okay, they can see you though, cuz I can see you. So this is our day 4, and we've been sitting back working on, you know, the family empire. Now, you know, we got 2 of us that are entrepreneurs, that's more hands-on, that we think that we can do. And she took a leap of faith, and she didn't understand how she was gonna do it, what she was gonna do, but she did it. You know what I said though? What'd you say? I was like, what am I waiting for? Like, I had an epiphany. I don't know what it was. I was like, I can't say that I'll wait until another couple months on my job. Or you can wait till you get older and got all this debt. But I'm 22. If I'ma fail at something, I'd rather fail now and then fix it later. I ain't trying to be failing at 40. So I was like, what am I waiting for? Because she ain't gonna let me struggle. My dude ain't gonna let me struggle. And Leah's never gonna want for anything. So what am I waiting for? I'ma just do it, right? Just do it. Just do it. So I understand the thought process of not being able to even think that you deserve the best. But I am here to tell you that you deserve everything that you desire. You just have to realize it. If you want a good relationship, you deserve that. If you want to start a successful business, you can have that. You can have whatever it is that you want. You just gotta know what the heck you want. And most people don't know what you want. Thank you guys so much for sharing this. Thank you so much for sharing. You just got to know what you want, and most people don't know what they want because they live under the cloud called limitations. When you put limitations on yourself, you can't blame nobody else. You can't be mad at rich folks and wealthy folks because spending their money on stuff, you'd be like, see, you could— they could be using that money to do something else. No, they made a choice to go go, um, be successful, start a business, do whatever they need to do, put their mind, body, soul, and spirit into it so they can go spend maybe $50,000 on a bottle of wine if that's what they want to do. But that money could be better used for this. Well, you go make your money and you use that, use it for that. It doesn't mean that they're not doing their part to help, um, give back to the poor and in the community. It's just they might decide, you know what, I want to spend $50,000 on a bottle of Merlot, you know, a little rosé, you know, a little something something, you a little Riesling, a $30,000 bottle of Riesling. That's what— that might be what they want to do with their money. That ain't got nothing to do with you. And the only reason why you're looking at it as a negative is because you didn't do what they chose to do. So can you really knock somebody else for being successful? Can you really knock somebody else for how they choose to spend their money? It's only because you living in lack, and for you, $30,000 to $50,000 would do wonders for you. For them, it's chump change. Everybody's level of broke is different. I remember I was dating somebody years ago go. And one day we were going out and he was stressing. I said, well honey, what's wrong? He said, babe, I only got $1,000 cash in my pocket and I'm feeling some sort of way. Now it didn't mean that he hadn't— he had money in the bank. Didn't mean he didn't have money because he did have money in the bank, but his definition of feeling broke was having less than $1,000 in his pocket. I'm like, well honey, you got $995. But it still made him feel jittery. Now when I said that I was broke, that meant I was looking for change in the car. I was looking for change in the couches. That was my definition of broke. But everybody's definition of a is different. So instead of looking at wealthy people and what, you know, with this, you know, despising them and looking at them, what, telling them what they should be doing with their money, how about look at it as, I want to be in a position— oh Lord, what the police doing? Um, I want to be in a position to where I can do that. Because think about this, while you're looking at them for what they're doing, somebody could be looking at you saying, oh, now she knows she did not— she does not have 3 months, 3 to 6 months of rent or mortgage in her bank account, but she going to buy Michael Kors purses, Louis Vuitton purses. So somebody could be looking at you like that. So instead of judging others for what they doing, go ahead and make yours. Go, go make it happen. Nobody's stopping you but you. Are they shooting a movie up here again? Because they were shooting a movie up here the other day. Um, so it's up to you to decide what you gonna do. It's up to you to decide and stop worrying about the how. So what I want you to do— I always give y'all homework. What I want y'all to do— oh no, that's a bad accident. God, I hope nobody got killed and hurt. Lord have mercy. You see that? Yeah. The Lord bless them. Oh God bless them. Lord bless I hope nobody, especially when no baby's in the car. I only see one car. Oh my God. Anywho, don't worry about the how. The how is not your problem. So your homework is this: write down what you really want. Think about it. Don't give me no, no regular stuff. I want you to really write down what you want and why you want it. Sit back, Mama. And why you want it. Because what keeps you on the track to keep moving forward is your why. What is your why? What is your why in life? Why do you want to do this? I know the reason why I want to build an empire is because I want to leave a legacy for my grandbaby that's sitting in the back, her grandkids. And so we'll have a family business to where they always have something that they can say their grandmama left them. So like, y'all can— I want y'all to put a big old picture of me in the house after I pass away. I want a big old picture of me in everybody's house. That's creepy. I don't care, I'm gonna be watching all y'all. I'm like, dang, Mom, close your eyes. Be like, girl, no, I'm watching you, boo. I see you. No twerking, no twerking. Uh-uh, don't do that. So what's your why? And I understand what my why is. And see, when you— here it is: your money is in your message. For all of my people who want to be speakers, who pretty much say to me, April, I want to do what you do, I want to travel, I want to do my own tours, I want to do my own events, I want to be a coach, all of that. Your money is in your message. When you stop, when you refuse to talk about your story, you hold up your money. You hold up your money, honey. Clarity equals a check. Clarity equals cash. Clarity equals PayPal transactions. Clarity equals MoneyGrams. Clarity equals money wires, ACHs. Your message and your clarity gets you that. But if you don't know what you want, and if you too afraid to step out, then you deserve to be exactly where you are, baby. Where you are right now, you deserve to be right there. Because nobody's holding you there. Right there, that new Spider-Man movie coming out, they did some of Spider-Man right there. That's what they were doing, because I remember when they wrote on the thing, um, thank you Spider-Man for having us, or something like that. So I'm gonna look for that one because I saw the Spider-Man movie getting ready to come out. I don't even know, but I saw him when they were filming it. Anywho, um, your money is in your message. What's in your hand? I started teaching what's in your hand in 2010. I still teach it today. And everything that you need is in your hand. The next time somebody say shake your money maker, baby, shake your head, because everything is in here and right here. And if you sit down and be okay with being alone for a minute, getting rid of the distractions, going through the emotional pain of change, you can do it. I didn't do this just by thinking and said, oh yeah, let me meditate on it, let me think about it. I would love to have that. No, I set an intention. I had an expectation. Did I hit some bumps and bruises? Yes. Did I have to go through the emotional pain that came with change? Yes. But guess what? Back then they didn't want me, now I'm hot, they all on me. Mike Jones. I'm serious, it works like I'm kidding with that part, but I just like that part of the song. But it works for me like that. I had to take a bet on me. I had to do and invest in me. This tour that I'm going on, I'm funding this 100% myself. I don't have any sponsors. I don't have any, um, what do you call them, sponsors and investors. I'm taking a bet on me because I know that my God-given mandate on this earth is to teach others and help you to get out of your own way and redesign your life. I know that. So how would I look holding back all of the information and knowledge that God has bestowed upon me and all of the things that I've gone through and I kept it to myself, but then I complain about not having anything, but yet my money is in my message. I'm just saying. Hey, Mama, I like your shoes. You got on Frozen shoes. You got— she— my baby said she has on her Frozen shoes with baby powder in them so they can smell good. I know that's right, baby. No stinky feet, no stinky feet. We don't want Leah with stinky feet. So you got to take a bet on you. You have to invest in you. Some of you have said, April, I want to come to your event, but I don't know if I can afford to. It's— first of all, it's a whole 30 days. Oh, it's over 30 days before the Houston event. It's over over another— it's over what, 45 days or so for the LA event. It's like 2 months or so for the DC, uh, Chicago— was it DC, Memphis, and Atlanta event, as well as the Chicago and New York. You have no excuses when you set your intentions. Because someone said, I want to come to your event, but I don't see how I can do it. That's because you don't— you didn't see— you said how— you didn't say how can I, you said I can't. See, when you start saying the right things, thinking the right thoughts, all of a sudden stuff start happening. Stuff start happening. But if you automatically looking at your means, you're automatically limiting yourself. Act as though you already have it. If you guys did not watch my Valentine's Day chat special for you, go back and watch it. I know it's an hour and 40 minutes, but I want you to watch it because I— the one little thing that I did in there to show you how to live as though your prayer has been answered, I gave you the, um, card, the card, uh, the card, uh, manifestation. If you, if you were single, I asked the question of did you buy your husband or wife a card? And some of y'all was like, what? Did you buy your husband or wife a card? If you are single, if you were married, you would have got your boo something. So you got to act as though you already have it. So I picked up a card for— I picked up a card from a husband to a wife and from a wife to a husband. Then I picked up another card from a husband to himself from his wife and a card from a wife for a wife from her husband to herself. And so I wanted you to see how it felt to have what you already wanted versus keep talking about what you want. So I said, ladies, if you had a card and it said this and you was reading it and you was reading it as though it came from your husband, how would you feel? And I know you got all warm and fuzzy. What y'all saying? Be careful driving. I'm careful, y'all. This— I ain't doing nothing no different than if I would be sitting in this car eating. The camera— I'm not really looking at the camera. The camera is just right here. And I, uh, I'm just driving like I regularly would drive. And if you can drive and look forward and eat and talk on the phone, you definitely can drive and look forward and have a camera looking at you and you ain't got to do nothing. But I appreciate y'all, um, being concerned. Yes, Mama, that's a train. But as I was saying, all you got to do is act as though you have it. So when you act as though you have something, that desperation, that perfume of neediness, that perfume of desperation and being desperate thinking that you'll never have it, that perfume of lack that you're wearing, it goes away because you don't act like you're in lack if you already know you have something. So it's the same thing about anything else that you want in your life. Stop worrying about freaking how. Not your problem. Your homework is to figure out what you want. And when you figure out what you want, the how just starts to happen. See, when you put something out in the atmosphere, You get back what you put out. So random thoughts equal random results. If your results— and well, if your thinking is random and one minute you hear, I want this, and then the next minute it switches, and you be doing all of this, right? Then your results are going to always be random. If one minute you say, I want a husband, then the next minute you keep saying, I really don't, but you really feel like there's no good men, you're going to only attract no good men. Because those same feelings that you put into there being no good men and having— and all of these lists of things that they're not— you're not putting that same energy into what can be. Oh really, you gonna sit back and go to sleep? Really? I'm driving Miss Daisy now? Yep. So it's— you have to put that same energy into the negative as you do, um, in the positive. That's just how it works. But if your energy— and you can feel that thing to where ain't no good women around here, these women want this and that, and ain't no good women, but yeah, I do want one, but where they at? Where they at? Where the good women at? Well, see, when you say where the good women at, what you're saying is that you don't believe that they are— you already have it. You don't believe that they already exist. So when you start believing you already have a thing, that's when you draw it to you because you're acting as though you have it. Case in point, when I went and bought a new car, but prior to going to buy my new car, the new car, I went and got— I started looking at it, right, online, and I was looking at what I wanted and and all that. Well, all of a sudden I started seeing that kind of car all around me. Everywhere I would go, I would see it. Well, when I went and finally bought the car, I noticed that every car around me— I'm like, dang, I didn't know so many people had this. I didn't know this was a popular car. It wasn't necessarily that it was a popular car. What happened was I changed the way that I saw things. The filter on my glasses changed. I switched out my stunners is what I did. And so now, once I made the shift, I started seeing things differently. Now, was this car always there? Mm-hmm. Yep, car was always there. So I know you'll say, April, I understand, but, but see, for everybody that say I understand what you're saying, but it's so hard, then my message is not for you because you're not willing to think differently. You want to still tell that same story. You want to still tell that but story. You want to still tell that, that, you know, get it out your system, and you want to just let it be known, but I understand, but I don't know what Um, not my kind of people to work with because I'm telling you, you have to make a decision to kill that negative story. You accept what happened, you acknowledge what happened, you learn from what happened, but you drop it right there. That's it. That's all. I don't like the fact that you just take a nap. You eating, Mama? Is it good? You going to sleep too? So that's all I wanted to share with you, to stop worrying about the how. No, I don't know how I'm gonna do a lot of things, but that's not my problem. I said I was doing a tour, a spring tour. I woke up in the middle of the night and said, April, you're going on tour and you're going to fund it yourself. Don't worry about nothing else, you got this. And I tell you, every hotel that I called to booked for the event, they were so excited that I was coming. Even some of the ladies in the sales department of the hotels, um, especially at the DoubleTree, she was like, I gotta be there, I'm gonna buy a ticket, whatever you need. Some of them even gave me extra hours and allowed me to come in like 5 and 6 hours early at the same price. I made an intention. I said that I was going on tour. And everything that I need came to me. Like I said, every hotel that I called, I got everything. I was able to book every hotel the same day for the first 5 cities of the tour. When I added on the other 2, it was like clockwork. When I added on Memphis and, um, DC, no problems because I set an intention. I said each location was going to be sold out. I said that I'm going to do my part to make sure it's success— successful. I said that not only am I going to do, um, uh, make, make sure it's a success by doing my part, but I'm going to bring out my most powerful, life-changing, transformational information that I've ever shared before. I'm going to go in deep and give the secrets of how I operate on the day-to-day and how I redesigned my life, especially now being pretty much an empty nester. How the anxiety left, how the, the fear of lack, living in left, how I changed my life and money started coming to me versus me chasing it, how I'm in a position now to decide who I take on as a client and who I don't. I don't care how much money it is. If I can operate from my spirit now to determine if you're a client that I should work with and if you're gonna actually do the work versus saying, well, they gonna give me X amount of dollars, I'm gonna do it. No, no, no, because I value me enough now to do it. You set your intention and then you execute. That's it. You set your intention and then you execute. Stop setting intentions in your mind and not doing anything. What, what the difference is between successful people and non-successful people is number one, knowledge. Number two is they take action and they make moves. You might not know every move to make, just move forward. I promise you, if you're in tune spiritually spiritually, and you say, well, I don't know, I'm waiting on God. Trust me, if you're going in the wrong direction, God— hey, Shawty, I'm gonna need you to go ahead and go left because you was doing this, and I know you taking it. I commend you for executing and making a move, but I'm gonna need you to go a little bit to the right, just a little slightly to the right is what I need you to do. So while you're saying you're waiting on God, what you're doing is using that as an excuse to not make any moves. And some of y'all been waiting on God forever, and to me, that's just a way to say, I'm a punk. I don't believe in myself. I don't believe I deserve. So what I'm going to do is use God as the excuse and not make moves. And he's sitting back there saying, mm-mm. And it really bothers me when I hear people say, what God getting ready to do? God ain't getting ready to do nothing because everything is already done from the beginning of time. Everything that you're supposed to do is getting ready to be— is already done. So when you hear people in a church saying, God getting ready to make a move. No, God ain't about to make a move. He waiting on you to catch up. Okay? God ain't about to do nothing else. That's why I can't take it. God, there's a shifting in the atmosphere and God is getting ready to— No, he ain't. No, he not. God has been waiting on you for a long time to make a move. So quit the God getting ready to do because what it does is it keep people in a state state of expectation but never receiving the manifestation. Oh, I said that. It keeps people in a state of expectation but not in a state of manifestation. So now you just constantly keep, one day, soon, very soon, you know, God gonna come through, he gonna come through for us one day. No. So you keep thinking you're gonna hit the blessing jackpot. You keep, you keep, uh, uh, sowing and giving and giving. And a lot of y'all giving on bad ground, waiting to hit the jackpot because one day God God gonna do it? No, you gotta do it because you already given the power to do it. He's already given you the power to do it. He's waiting on you to catch up. God's sitting there, he ain't tripping on none of us. He's sitting back just chilling. He's sitting back just like, you know, these fools getting on my last nerves. He said, I done gave them all the power. They— I mean, they don't understand that they can use their mind. I said greater works that they will do. I create— I thought it up. I created the heavens and earth with a thought that it was created. And I told them greater works that they should do. And these crazy people don't understand. If I said that they can use their mind, if I could use my mind to create, that they could use their mind to create. And they don't understand that I've already given it to them, but they just constantly letting society, they're constantly letting the media, they're constantly letting their past experiences and their hurts, their bruises and traumas hinder them. So I'm just sitting back here chilling, eating some chicken wings, because I don't have time to keep going answering prayers that I've already given them the authority to do. So I'm not gonna do that. I'm I ain't got time for that. I'm waiting on them to ask me for some big stuff. That's what I'm waiting— I'm waiting on them to, to ask for some stuff that they know that they can't do and they don't have the means to do. That's when I have fun. That's when we can play at that point. But they ain't gave me nothing to play with, so ain't nothing for me to play with. So what, what am I gonna do? I'm sitting up here having some chicken wings and some little crab legs and everything like that, little cake, a little pound cake, and I'm just sitting up here chilling, you know. Guy getting ready to get on the treadmill because he might have been eating a little too much because, you know, y'all ain't giving them nothing to do. So, you know, it's like, well, I might as well go ahead and sit back and eat and, you know, pet the dogs and stuff and, you know, chill out here with these angels and stuff like that. I might as well go ahead and do that because these people that I created, they don't believe what they said, what they claim they believe. They can quote me, but they don't believe me. So, you know, I can't really manifest anything in their lives because they really don't believe me. So, you know, hey, it is what what it is, you know, less work for me to do. But I am here and I'm available and I'm more than capable to do whatever it is that they need me to do, but they just choosing not to do it. So I don't know what to tell them. You catch my drift? So you got to be the one to do it. No, ain't no more I'm waiting on God. Some of y'all been waiting on God for so long that, you know, it's like, y'all, you know what, you should feel embarrassed. Because I had somebody tell me, "Well, April, we gotta be more aware. We still need awareness." Screw awareness! Aware— you got enough awareness. If your bank account is in lack, that's awareness. If you cannot provide for your family, that's all the awareness that you need. If you need to educate yourself so you can go get a better position on that job, that's the awareness that you need. If you need to stop spending your money on frivolous things, then that's the awareness that you need. If you want to take a vacation but you ain't got the means to do it, then you— that the awareness that you need is, okay, I need to figure out a way to make some more money so I can go on vacation. If you overweight, all— that's all the awareness that you need is that I'm overweight and I don't like the fact that I look like this in the mirror. I don't like the fact that I got 2 and 3 stomachs, and I don't like the fact that, you know, I am an emotional eater. I don't like the fact that, you know, I got, you know, might have a double chin. That's all the awareness that you need. You don't need nobody to constantly keep telling you, um, to be aware. You don't need no more, no leaders, especially to my African-American community. I know I have a wide variety, um, of not variety, a wide race of people that follow me, but this is specifically for the African-American community. It's said that we spend $46 billion in discretionary spending. That mean that ain't got nothing to do with your light bill, your mortgage, your rent, your, you know, your necessities. That has everything to do with your hair that you buy, your rims that you buy, you know, your entertainment things that you buy, your Gucci, your name brand stuff that you buy. $46 billion. You know what we could do as a community with $46 billion that's coming from discretionary spending? Not from your necessity spending, but stuff that you spend money frivolously Fearless Leon, you know what we could do with that? We don't need no more awareness. That's— we got it. You don't need nobody else to tell you you broke. You don't need nobody else to tell you that if a hard time hit today, that you would lose— if you lost your job today, that in 30 to 45 days you would lose your house, you lose your apartment, and you would be evicted, and you would lose your car. That's all the awareness that you need. You don't need no leader. Everybody looking for the next Black leader. You be the leader. Start in your community. Lead that. How about now? You do that. We don't need it. We don't need that. If you can man your own community and help those in your community, start there. Start with yourself. You cannot be a blessing to other folk and you broke. You can start, you can start by doing what you know, helping others with what you have. Because I ain't gonna lie, every time I go to Chick-fil-A, I pay for the people food behind me every time I go. Because one day I was going through something really bad and I didn't know what to do, and I was just like, God, I'm real smart but I ain't making the money that I need to make, you know. I'm doing this, I'm doing— and I didn't understand it. And somebody paid for my food at Chick-fil-A one day. And when I got up to get my food through the drive-through, the lady said, "Well, someone paid for your food, and they said tell you God bless you when he sees you," or something like that. And from that point on, I do it for other people. I mean, I pay for folks' groceries in the store. I might not have had a lot. I'll never forget when I, um, when I was on welfare and back in, um, what was this? I had— what was this? Was This was maybe because I remember even as a business owner, I fell on hard times when I lost everything after my back surgery, and I lost everything and I had to go get some assistance. And that was about 10 years ago, but I was still an entrepreneur, still had a big following on social media and everything. But I guess what, I had to go get some help because I couldn't do anything. Well, I would even when people was in line and they didn't have enough money for their food, I took my little EBT card and I would say, I pay I use what I had. I use what I had. So you can start off giving, and then the more that you give, the more you receive, and then the more you can give even bigger. I'm just saying. What'd you say? Our women are 6% of the US population, 26% of the shoe and fragrance industry. Let me take it a little further than that, Frederick. According to the Nielsen report, Out of 100% of the beauty industry, Black women make up 85% of the beauty industry. 85%. But guess what? L'Oréal, the perms we buy, the hair we buy, and all of that ain't owned by none of us. So 85% of the beauty industry, 85%, if you can go Google it, look up the Nielsen report from 2014, 85% of the beauty industry, which majority of it has to do with weave. Ladies, if you wear your weave, I ain't knocking it. I'm just trying to get you to think, um, in a different way of how you spend your money. We don't own any of that. So 85% of the beauty industry, Black women are the consumers of. I'm just saying, think a little bit differently. Think a little bit differently. Like I said, if you want to wear it, that's on you. But if you broke and you doing stuff that um, just to enhance the outside, baby. Uh-uh. I tell you, I can afford to go get my hair done every week, but guess what? I don't, honey. I invested in a $70 dryer, and I go get my little wrap lotion, put my little wrap lotion on my hair, wrap my little hair with the little— with the little black little— y'all know, my son call them little snakes, the little black things, little mold and stuff. And I set my behind right up under the dryer. I might go get my hair done once a month, not because because I can't, but because I know how to comb my hair. And so, you know, and I like the fact that I, I like to wear my own hair. So I'm not saying you can't wear it. I'm saying if you do not have enough money in other areas of your life, and if you lost your job today and you got an $800 weave on your head, but yet your rent— you, you will be evicted— just think about things a little bit different, sisters. I know y'all get mad when we talk about weave a lot, and it's only because it's a huge industry and that, that we don't own. Now, if we owned owned it, I'd be like, girl, go do you, baby, because you own that. But if you still— even if you sell it and you still got to go get it from overseas, you still buying it from the Koreans, or you're still buying it from, um, you know, Indian, that you still don't own it. You're still not the manufacturer of it. So I'm just saying, we can't take our little Negro hair off and say, hey, here go a bunch of Negro hair, how much can I get for that? Because don't nobody want that. Even though Negro hair is beautiful, I would like— my son has that real coarse hair. Sometimes I wish my hair was like that because I could then wear a little afro, but I can't do it because my hair is, um, with or without a relaxer, it's just real fine. So I can't do it. So I'm just saying, look at how you spend your money. Work on the inside as much as you work on the outside. Work on this and your brain and, and, and how you think the same way you work on your outside. Okay, it's time to move It's time to move, make moves. You know, we looking at what's going on in this country, people losing jobs every day, but yet you look good. You look good though, girl. You cute though, girl. Fellas, the same thing for you. Quit spending all the money on them Jordans. What, how much it cost to make Jordans? $2? But you be in line trying to get the latest Jordans, but yet you don't have 3 to 6 months of rent or mortgage and car notes. Saved up. Okay, it's the same thing. All you need to do is decide what you want out of life. Don't worry about how you going to get it. Make better choices on how you spend your money. Be a giver even with the little bit that you have. Like I said, when I was on welfare, I was paying— I, I just, I had a heart for people. So if I see a woman or even a man in the store and he's struggling sudden he got some kids with him and he's like, well, no, we can put— well, we'll put the toilet paper back, or, or we'll put the— we don't have to— we can get the bread and meat, but we don't have to get the milk and cereal. I can't stand there and allow somebody to do that because in the— you did this here United States of America, nobody should be without food. And I just got a heart like that. There's no— I don't care, man, woman, boy, girl, don't matter your race, don't matter none of that, um, you will eat if I'm around because there you got a full stomach, you, you can do things, you can make moves, okay? Nobody think about making no moves and they hungry. Shoot, even Jesus fed the people. He taught them, but then he knew that they needed to eat, so he fed the people. Start getting out and giving. Don't worry about what the people are going to do with it. Are they really going to use this food? Are they going to sell this food to go get some drugs? That's not your business. What you're supposed to do is be a giver. That's what you're supposed to do. You're not supposed to be in nobody else's business. You're supposed to have a heart to give. And folks ask me all the time, how is it that people come work for you and they'll say, I don't even want— I just want to glean from you. You ain't even got to pay me. I just want to be around you. It's because I've done that with others. See, when you don't worry about the how you gonna do something, but yet you've sown so many seeds that you forgot about the seeds, stuff start happening for you. But when you are tight, when you don't believe in yourself, when you have no expectations, when you don't execute, when you don't make moves, when you don't believe in yourself, when you have no confidence, when you continue to replay the things in your life that has happened negatively in your life, You'll always be where you are. So my challenge to you is to write down what you want. Know exactly what you want. Be laser targeted what you want. Laser targeted. Know exactly what it is. I don't care how big it is. And don't downplay what you want because you think you can't afford it or because you don't have the means. Not your problem. I'll say, "Ooh, I like that. I want that." And I'm like, can I afford it? Who cares? That's not my problem. I don't care if I can afford it or I can't because my intention is that I want that. Who knows, somebody might come up and give it to me. You know, I've had people say, come to me literally and say, I've watched you and what you've said, especially when I'm dealing heavy in the molestation, helping people get over molestation. I've had people come to me and place large sums of money in my hand off of what they saw off the internet. That's it. And they were wealthy people that said, you listening to you broke some change off of my life. What do you need? Whatever you need is what I'll give you. Because what you said, how you let God use you, it just broke something off of me. And my life is just hearing what you had to say. I have access to a lot of money. I got a lot of property. What do you need? Back then, I didn't know how to receive. I know how to receive now. Somebody tell me that now. And I would keep things a little, you know, small, you know, $1,000, you know, a couple of that, uh, But I had access. Whatever you need because what you do, you living on purpose, you being in your purpose and helping— it has helped me break the chains off of my life to see myself differently and I've always had the wealth but I never had the confidence. I never had the mindset. I never understood what it meant to use what's in my hand or use, you know, my brain to be able to create my life and you helped me do that. What can I do for you? Whatever I have, you have access to. So it's not always about about having the money to do something. It's being able to live in your purpose and then things start to come to you. So then you don't have to worry about it. Somebody will come to you and say, hey, you might have been saying, I want a new house. Somebody may come across your path that says, you know what, you bless me. I'm going out of the country for 2 years and I need somebody to stay in my house, to house sit it for 2 years. Do you know anybody? There you go. You just, you doing what you're supposed to do opened up a door for you. It's not always— doesn't always come with cash in hand, but your needs can be met by you operating and not worrying about the how. The how is not your problem. Y'all getting it? Am I talking something? Am I saying something? You getting it? The how is not your problem. You okay, Leah? You okay, Mama? Okay. Did you finish your juice? Huh? Okay, I'll see you in the mirror. So stop worrying about how it's gonna get to you. You just get on purpose. I promise you, when I got on purpose and got confident in what I was doing, believed enough in myself to say, April, you got this, girl, you the bomb, the information that you give, honey, you done been through too much hell and hot water to not be— to not use the wisdom that God gave you to not share with others. That's when my life switched out, when I believed and valued what I I carry. Everybody doesn't do that. Everybody, oh, you know, I'm a, you know, it's not me, it's God. Yeah, it is me. God is in me, so he's using me to give what he needs to get to you. Those who I am meant to touch, he's using me to do it. But I would never accept that. And that also made me downplay who I am. You can't do no more downplaying, baby. We don't do that. We don't do that no more, okay? So I hope I shared something with you today, darling, that is going to help you, that helped you make decisions and commit to yourself. To understand that you are valuable, you are worthy, you are enough, you are deserving. It doesn't matter what you look like, your size. It doesn't matter what you have and what you don't have. It doesn't matter what you've been through, where you going, what you've been through and where you've gone, what you did or who even you did it with. Right now, here today, you can make a choice to redesign your life. You are the author. You are the artist as well of your life. Only you can create it. While you waiting on God, he's saying, man, this chick, she tripping. This dude, I'm so sick of him. I wish he would go ahead and give me something to do. I can't make manifest— I can't manifest nothing in his life because he has to make a choice. You know, I'm a God that I don't force myself on nobody. He has to make a choice. And I wish this fool would make a choice or give me something to do because I'm sitting up in here on my little throne. I'm bored. I'm bored as crap because these folks don't understand that I created them to do great things, but they continue to let their mind control how they function. They continue to let the negative thoughts, and they think themselves out of things. They continue to let fear— yeah, I said I didn't give them the spirit of fear. I never said fear wouldn't come, but I said I didn't give them the spirit of fear, which means they should know that that fear that they have didn't show us, heck, didn't come from me. But they won't think that way. See, you know, April, what's the problem? Why they won't think that way? You know, I got— cyborg, I tell you, that's how I talk to God. Be like, God, I don't understand this. You gonna have to fix this. This is foolishness right here. I don't get this. I don't understand. I'm gonna need you to fix it, okay? But he's sitting there waiting on you to give him something something to do. He bored. Angels ain't making no moves because you haven't given them anything to make moves on. They just sitting back like, man, I wish we could just be dispatched, you know. Can, can we be dispatched? I'm ready to go down and do some things. But ain't nobody asking for nothing. Ain't nobody making no moves. Nobody has intentions. Randomness. They real random. So as soon as I start working on their behalf to do this, they, they let the fear kick in. And so now the fear takes over. So now what's this over here? What crap, man. See, now that's the car that I— go ahead, I'm gonna let you— I'm gonna let you in because I want you— that car, it's a Tesla. I've always wanted a Tesla. How am I gonna get it? I don't know, that ain't my problem. But that's a Tesla and I want that. I think I look cute in a Tesla, especially if they make a convertible one. A matter of fact, how about I just have a custom convertible one made? But I love the Tesla. It's my neighborhood in California. I used to live in Benicia and they— everybody in the neighborhood almost seemed to have a Tesla. I I'm like, well shoot, I like it. I think they're hot. I want one. Why can't I have one? But I can't. Who knows, somebody might give me one. You never know. Somebody might say, hey, you know what, I want you to— I want to give you this car because, you know, you blessed me. Or I want you to— I want you to drive this around and, you know, as the sponsor— your spot— this is your sponsor car for your tour, for— or, you know, for your new I'm an Asset Women's Network. You know, this is your sponsor car. You know, if Mary Kay can give people a sponsor a sponsored car. Why Tesla can't give me a sponsored car? I'm just saying. I don't care what time of day it is in Atlanta, it's always some traffic. But that's all I had for y'all. I hope you, you, I hope you got shook today because my goal is to, to, uh, to, um, disrupt your life, disrupt the way you think, disrupt the way— stop worrying about how, how, how, how, how. Not your problem, not my problem, not my problem, not my problem. I don't care. And you know the one person in my life that don't care about prices or anything else? He just want what he want. That's my son, my youngest son. He said, Mama, um, I'm gonna have 52 acres of land is what I want. I want 52 acres— no, 52 miles of land is what he said. And he's been thinking like that ever since he came out the womb. We used to go to the mall because he said, Mom, I want to go to the mall because I want to go look at suits. I want to go suit— I need some suits. I'm gonna need some suits. And then he'll say, um, he has a bet going that he'll be able to buy me the big house first. This is my 18-year-old now, and he got the plan all written out, you know, what he— what exactly what he's going to do. And I said, all right, Corey, well, you know, he ain't worried about the how. Oh, so you saw me getting over. See how you do? Where the gym— where is the gentleman? Where the gentleman at? Okay, I guess he said, girl, I'm trying to get to where I got to go to. So don't worry about the how, people. Just set your intention and go for it. So write down a list of things that you want and be bold with it. Now here's the thing though, for those of you that's going to write down what you want in a mate, this is— here's the key. This is what I don't want I want you to do. I want you to write down what you— how you want to feel when you're with your mate. But I don't want you to write down what you want them to look like. I want you to write down how you want to feel. Okay, how do you want to feel? Okay, which way? Hold on, that's Edgewood. Auburn Avenue is Okay, that way. Um, I want you to write down how you want to feel is what I want you to write down. I don't want you to— fellas, I don't want you talking about she got to have a big booty, I want her to have light eyes. Ladies, I don't want you to write down I want him to be 5— I mean, uh, 6'8" and all that. No, no, write down how you want to feel. Write that down, but don't be— oh, okay, we back, we back. Okay, let me go, um, because the internet over here is bad, uh, connection. But write down how you want to feel. Don't be so specific about the look. But write about how you want to feel. Now when it comes to your business and things, you can be specific. But when it comes to your mate, I don't want you to be that specific because you can cut off a whole pool of people. So be specific about what you want in your life, but when it comes to your mate, be specific about how you want to feel. Okay? Alright, I'm out of here. Say bye, Leah. Say bye. Bye. My Mookie. Mwah, mwah, mwah, mwah. Y'all know I'm a little goofy. So anywho, that's all I have for you. Go get your homework done and make sure you go get your tickets for the Redesign Your Life Tour. Fellas, because so many of you have been registering, I have added on a segment just for you. So I want to see you there. So love you guys.
