Having a degree doesn't make you WIFE Material!

Dating coach April Mason argues that a woman's degree and career achievements don't make her wife material. Men are drawn to feminine qualities like emotional presence and support, not résumés. She says women should shift from a CEO mindset to embracing vulnerability and feminine energy.

So I'm just saying. You know, I'm trying to get it all, you know, something about having this, these curves, that right there. Yeah, I've been waiting on this for a minute. So anywho, let's get right into what I wanted to talk to you about today. Um, I'm sitting here on this Sunday making some, um, making some, um, people always ask me, what is it that you use on your face and what keeps your skin from, um looking all wrinkled and stuff. Well, I gotta tell you this, this is not about that, but I make my own shea butters and mango butters and I put all kind of different oils in there. And, um, I needed— I ran out, and so I made some, a little bit, a little bowl this morning because I made some, uh, I made my first sunscreen, uh, the other day. You know, Babe said, Babe, can you make me some sunscreen since you be making all your other stuff? So I said, if you break out, honey, don't, don't blame me. This is my first time making sunscreen. So I actually made it, and then I put some right here. So when I go out today, I'm going to see if it actually works. I didn't put on any on this side, but put some on this side. So this will determine if my sunscreen will work. If it don't work, he'd be all right, you know, be like, I'll try, let me try different concoction. But I wanted to make some for myself, um, today. So that's what I'm sitting here doing. So as I was sitting here In the kitchen, minding my own business, I log on Instagram and there's a video on the page called Black— the Black Love page. And it says, the caption says, we were together for 10 years, I thought you were going to be my husband and the father of my children. Now whoever posted this, well, on the Black Love page, in the captions it said, here is a beautiful Black educated woman with a master's degree, several businesses, and real estate under her belt, who just came out of a 10-year relationship. He walked out of her life and she thought he was her future husband. Sounds familiar? Let's start right there. I know this is gonna get me in trouble again, but I don't care. I, I got to say, I got to say it. Everything that was listed of what makes her a catch had nothing to do with her being a feminine woman. It had nothing to do with if she would make a good wife. It had nothing to do with is she loyal. It has nothing to do with is she honest. It had nothing to do with does she know how to communicate. Everything that was listed that determined of what her— they placed value on were things that she had accomplished, not things that if you strip away all of those accomplishments, you ask yourself, who am I? Y'all gonna— some of y'all gonna get mad. I don't— at this point, y'all, I don't give a damn. I got to say how I feel it. Men do not marry women based upon their accomplishments alone. Those are added bonuses. Should you be educated? Yes, I'm educated. Should you have your ish together? Yes, you should. Should you have your own house and your car and all those things? Yes, you should. I have those things. But one of the things that I had to learn is to stop leading with my accomplishments and stop letting other people, when they introduce me or speak about me, do so based upon my accomplishments. I checked that real quick. There's nothing wrong. Let me say it again, because I, you know, you get those women that hear one thing, you know, they, they, they looking to respond versus to understand. I'm not saying that you shouldn't have your ish together. I'm not saying that. But what I am saying is If it was our education and if it was our degrees and the cars that we drive and we so smart, why can't we keep a man in our lives? If it was just that, think about that. And I'm guilty. I've been guilty of that. It wasn't until I had to learn how to say, you know what, April, he's coming to the table with all of his accomplishments. That's what men do. They want to show us that they can protect. They want to show us that they can provide. That's what they, that's what they want to do. That's not up for us to do. So we're coming to the table saying, you know what, look, I got it together. I can do this, that, and the third too. That's not what men naturally are drawn to from a woman. I can only speak from experience. I look at all of my male friends and, and, um, I have some real solid brothers in my life. And I listen to what they say. If you didn't watch my video yesterday, watch the video yesterday because I ran into a guy at the cleaners and he told me he met his wife in 2 months and in 2 months he knew she was the one. I said, well babe, how did you know she was the one? He said, I couldn't imagine my life without her. It's about who she was. He never mentioned what she accomplished. It was about who she was and they've been married 21 years. So, I'm not here, I'm not the woman to say, give you these steps of 5 steps to make him fall in love, 4 steps to make him commit. That's not my thing. But my thing is to show you the different dynamics between men and women and understanding that if you keep trying to give a cat dog food and wonder why it's not taking it, maybe you're the one that's out of pocket. Versus saying, hmm, if men are saying this is what they want, why am I still trying to force-feed what I've accomplished, force-feed my agenda, force-feed what I think they should want on them, and then label them as They're intimidated because they can't accept my accomplishments. They can't accept my successes and all of those things. The other day, and I don't really share my stuff, but I'll do this. I'll give you guys what I mean. The other day, Sweetie and I were out and he talked, we were on our way to go get something to eat, but he does a lot for me anyway. You know, he's putting the effort and the consistency, you know, he's showing himself, right? So he talked about a bill he had. He said, babe, man, I gotta go pay this $9,000 bill, right? I said, oh honey, that's a big bill today. He said, yeah, I'm about to go get the money and go ahead and pay this bill. I heard that. Well, what I did was I knew we were going out to dinner and I know he always makes sure that mama's straight. I said, I'm gonna take daddy out to dinner tonight. He says, uh, we get the bill comes, the bill was like dinner was like $160. I said, babe, I got it today. His look on his face was like, mm, I know you ain't, no, you ain't got this. I said, babe, I got it because I heard you say you spent blah blah blah. He said, well, April, if I couldn't afford to take you out after I just spent 9 grand, I wouldn't— we wouldn't be out to dinner. I said, yeah, but this is something that I want to do for you because I heard you. His words to me were, I already know you got it going on. I don't— you ain't got to prove nothing. I said, baby, it's not about me proving anything. It's more of me saying, you sit— daddy sit back and let mama handle this tonight. And he sat back. It took everything out of him, but he did. My point was, I never had to prove or show him that I had it going on. He perceived that for himself. His thing was, I like you because you're extremely loving. It had nothing to do with April Mason, the author, April Mason, the speaker, April Mason that got the clients and traveled all over the world. It had nothing to do with that. I like you because you, you know, you don't harass me, you don't nag. All of those things were the things that he listed about why he liked me. Now, could I pay for dinner? Yeah, that was just, you know, mama paying for dinner. But I let him know, babe, please understand, there's a whole lot of more dinners that you can pay for, okay? This is just— this is not— it's not gonna be an ongoing thing. This is just me being appreciative to you. I said I shared that story with you to get you to understand it's not about you having it going on from a financial or a material place. It's more of who you are as a woman, that feminine essence of who you are as a woman. Although We've been made to believe that when you, when you, um, you become successful, you know, you got to get your stuff together. It's been beat in it. Go get your degree, get your, get your coins, girl, because these men ain't gonna blah blah blah blah blah. So we're automatically thinking that men are not going to come through. Now I hear you say, April, well, a lot of these fools don't come through. You're absolutely correct. But guess what? Here's the, here's the caveat in that. We chose those men. I chose my kid's father. Based upon the information that I had at that time, based upon my self-esteem level, based upon my insecurity, I chose that and thought that that was the only thing that I had, right? I wasn't operating from a place of wisdom. Please understand, I never take the ball away from the man. This is what I do: I put you in an empowering position so you can gain wisdom, so we can make better choices. I had to learn to make better choices in men versus complaining about the men that I was attracting. And not only was I attracting them, but I was accepting of them. Just because you attract something, baby, don't mean you have to what? Accept it. It doesn't mean that. So I had to learn that. I had to learn that, April, you are more than just a builder woman. You are more than just a woman that knows how to show a man, you know, how to— as one of my friends say, You're more than just a woman that knows how to amplify a man. You're more than a woman that just knows how to survive. You're more than a woman that knows how to make things happen, take something, turn it into nothing. You're more than that. I had to learn that because I used to lead with— I've been in business at that time, like 10 years. I've been in business full-time for 15 years. So I'm like, I used to lead with, um, yeah, I'm in business. I can do this. I can make you some money. I can— I would do all of those things, right? But, and be cute at the same time doing it, baby. But guess what? They would go over to other women that did not have as much sense, as much know-how, as much make it happen as I did. But guess what they had more of? They had more wife qualities, the wife qualities that men actually look for in a woman. So eventually you get tired of getting passed over and you have to take the time to make an assessment and stop saying everybody is intimidated by you. I used to think that. All these fools, they just intimidated as hell. You just mad because you just made me— now I won't say that there aren't men that are, um, in— have not been intimidated. That ain't my problem. When people ask me, April, what do you do about the man that's intimidated by you? You don't deal with him. I mean, it's like we try to take on things and people that go against what we really want. I ain't doing it. Thank you guys once again so much for sharing. I see y'all sharing. And I'm not trying to be on the tangent. Mom ain't trying to be on the tangent this morning because I just got a text. I got to go get my grandbaby, my grandson. Uh, can you bring him a jug of water? I can bring my baby anything he want, my poo poo. So anywho, um, I wanted to share that with you because when I, when I read this and I looked at how many comments— where'd it go? I looked at how many comments that this post had over there. It had over 30, 30, 386,000 views. And a lot of the comments are like, that's I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. That's what I'm saying. You know, um, these fools, they don't know a good woman when they have one. But yet, even in the caption of describing this woman, she's not described as who she is at her core or womanly qualities. She is described in masculine qualities— what she's accomplished, what she has, what she's been able to do. I'm not saying we can't do it because I do it every day, but at the same time, I'm wise enough to know that if I don't want the same result, I have to look at what in the hell is, is causing me to get the same result. It wasn't until I learned how to— April, don't lead with your accomplishments, you know, don't lead with what you've done, you know. And I— when I started dating again and I said I wasn't going to lead with that, what I noticed was The men were not as interested in what I do as much as they were interested in me. Interested in, you know, um, you know, babe, I had a bad day, and I would say, you know what, come by the house, come lay on mama lap, tell mama what happened, what's going on with you. Didn't talk about my career, didn't talk about the books I have coming out, didn't talk about any of that. Not saying that not interested, it's just more of I am the center of attention, not what I do. I am the center of attention. Who is April? And a lot of times, as women will say, these men, they don't, um, they don't want to get to know us. Well, look at what you're leading with. What are you leading with? So I said, you know what, this time around I ain't doing that. Let me see what happened. And by me making simple adjustments like that, I have my friends I can talk to about all of my accomplishments and, and all of my stuff. Now you can talk to your man about those too, But at the same time, it's like when they're interested in you, they're not going to be overly, overly trying to get into your world as far as career-wise, because they're interested in you. They already know how fabulous you are on the other end, or they wouldn't want to be with you in the first place. They are— they're not looking at what you accomplish. They're looking what's on the inside of you that caused you to be able to produce that. That's different. That's different. So when I saw this post, I cringed. I was like, oh my God, why did they describe her as— here's a beautiful Black educated woman with a master's degree, several businesses, and real estate under her belt who just came out of a ten-year relationship. Now my question is this: I wonder who the woman is that he got with after that. I wonder if she had master's degrees. I wonder if she had, um, real estate. And if she did have those things, I wonder if she was what I call an asset woman, a woman that can have those things. But she knows how to balance that and take the CEO hat off with her, with her man. She understands, I can use my masculine traits when I'm out there in the world making it happen, but when I'm with my man, I understand that masculinity doesn't get me the results that I want with my man. And I also understand that using masculine energy with my man, it doesn't put me in a feminine place to where I can just be versus always doing, always thinking. And when you're in a masculine, you're all— you always You're always thinking from here. I want you to start thinking from here and feeling from here. Like I tell my kids, follow your heart, but baby, take, take your brain with you. Just don't let your brain want anything. The more spiritually connected that you get, the more in tune you get, the more of a woman you become to talk about how you feel versus saying he did this and babe, you did that. No, you say, you know what, I feel this way when this happens. I feel this. But most of us ain't talking about how we feel. We're immediately pointing the finger all the time because we, we are not taking the time to get into our feeling. Now here's a shameless plug: make sure you join me in Atlanta, uh, July 21st for Will the Asset Woman Please Rise here in Atlanta on the 21st. It's an evening with me and we're going to talk about a lot of these things that I'm sharing right now. Get your tickets, go to AprilMason.com. Now Getting back to what I was saying, I just had a problem. It really, it really bothered me that they described this woman based upon what she's accomplished and not what a woman really is. Those are added bonuses, you know, and those are great things to have. So for those watching, get out your feelings. I'm not saying don't get your education and get your degrees and get your money, not saying that at all. You have to have that. What I'm saying is get your stuff but bring your femininity along with you, okay? Take it with you. Learn how to balance and take that make it happen hat off. For me, I've been in business 15 years working for myself. My last job was in 2003 and it was very hard to shift. But when I start saying I wasn't in a relationship and I was perpetually single and I was doing all of these things and I'm thinking I got it going on, I'm cute and everything is sitting right and sitting up and all of that stuff. But I still could not seem to lock in equality. Brother, I had to take notes. April, what is it that you are leading with? What are you showing first? You're saying they don't see my value, but you are the one presenting your value as what you, um, what you've accomplished. It ain't— it's not them. So then you get mad and, and say that they're intimidated because you don't want to accept the fact You don't want to accept the fact that you are doing it. That's all I'm saying. Thank you guys so much for sharing. I wasn't trying to go— I'm not trying to go in this morning. I got things to do, but I had to share. I had to share that with you today because I'm so tired of seeing us, um, getting upset and being lonely and not having a date or whatnot because we are living and our accomplishments. We're presenting that first is what we're doing, and we're not presenting who we are as a woman. So I said, I ain't— I'm not doing that. What I do is what I do. If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't. But at the end of the day, I'm going to show you who April the woman is, not April the CEO, the businesswoman, and all of these other things. Okay, um, Kim say, I always get friend-zoned. Then that might have something to do with you not also not showing this, your sexuality part. If you're not a part of our VIP Academy, make sure you go to vip.teachmehowtodate.com. Um, this, this month's master class is all about how to ignite a masculine man with your femininity, and I teach that in our master class, uh, next week. So every month we get this master class that I teach. Last month was, uh, I forgot, but I know I did Flirting 101. Options, the Power of Three. So I got a lot of courses over there. It's only $10 a week right now. So you can go to vip.teachmehowtodate.com, and a lot of your questions that you have, I do answer them over there as well. And a lot of times I will say this, when you get put in the friend zone, it's because as women we'll go from one extreme to the next. We'll go extremely rigid or we extremely freaks. Then you get mad if you're extremely the freak of why he just want to hit it, and then you get mad over here because you don't show any type of sensuality or sexuality, why you just a friend. So those are things that, um, I teach over there. It ain't that hot. Y'all done made me hot. Got me all heated up in here. Uh, I'm just saying. Tina said, I will be going over there, I needed the help. Well, this is just— this is what it's all about. Nothing is off limits in that group. But I did want to share with you today about leading with your accomplishments and thinking that everybody is intimidated by you. It's not. Yes, Teach Me How to Date. No, it's called vip.teachmehowtodate.com. Okay, that's what that is. Because I just feel like— wait, hold on, who's at my door? How somebody get— you got to— yeah, you get past security. Who is somebody at the door? Yo, hold on, who am I doing? Oh, hey! Thank you. You look— they did all fell asleep. You coming to Cynthia's? Yeah, I told her I would come over. Okay, look, they all not there, all three of them. Hi! Okay, well, I gotta go get baby Charlie, and then once I get baby Charlie, I'll come over there. I gotta leave there about 3:30 because I gotta go work. All right, I'm— girl, I'm live right now. Oh, hey y'all! That's my sister, y'all. They brought me a present. Oh Lord, they brought me a present. Okay, we see you in a little— all right, see y'all in a little bit. Sorry about— sorry about that, y'all. I didn't know that nobody was here. They bought me a present, a Wonder Woman cup, and they know I like socks. Thank you, Zacky Bo Becky. Bring your auntie some socks. Anywho, you guys, that's what I wanted to share with you today. That don't lead with your accomplishments. Don't be laughing, Muhammad. I get nervous because not too many people know where I stay. So if you can get past security to get up in here, I'll be like, wait a minute, where the man at that's supposed to be the security and not let nobody up and through here? So that's what I wanted. What'd you say, Momo? Girl, yes, everybody in the family knows I love socks. Like, I can sleep with no clothes on, but guess who's gonna have on a long pair of socks? A pair of either thigh-high socks, knee socks, or some ankle socks. I got to have my socks. That was sweet. And they know also that I love mugs, so that was sweet. Um, so anywho, that's all I have for you guys. I just don't like the fact that we are leading with our accomplishments versus being those women that are leading with their femininity. See, here's the thing, I'm, I'm, I'm doing a couple, uh, things now, and I can't really talk about them, but one of the things that, um, one of my clients, a man, had to say about one of the girls that I'm working with is he could— he's drawn to her, but he didn't understand why. And I'm sitting there cracking up listening at him describe who this woman is and how he makes her feel. And I said, baby, I know what that is. And she's sitting there looking because she didn't even know what it was. Hmm. And I said, I can tell you what it is about her that drives you crazy. He said, what? I said, it's her feminine energy. I said, see, the feminine energy penetrates the masculine in a way that a man cannot describe. Just like the masculine energy, being around a masculine man penetrates us in the same way that we cannot describe. So if we understand that, why are we trying to feed each other things that we don't need or that does not move us? Why, as a woman, are we still trying to sell men on our accomplishments versus understanding it's that feminine energy? Especially if you're dealing with an alpha male. If you're dealing with a real alpha male, your accomplishments don't really mean too much to him as much as You being a soft, gentler woman, say, baby, how you doing? How your day going? I know you had a long day. Mama cooked for you. Come lay on my couch. Come lay on my lap. Doesn't mean you're being weak. I told you sweet yesterday. Sweet does not equal weak. It just means that you're a wise woman and you're feeding the goldfish fish food versus putting a whole piece of doggone chicken inside of the fish tank. Why? Because the fish don't eat that. Fellas, it's the same way. Y'all be trying to sell us on other stuff. No, give the woman what we need. Our core needs as a woman, for the most part, is feeling, um, loved, affect, you know, some affection, and feeling adored. Give us that. You can always give us the presents and stuff, but I can guarantee you, for most of us women, the presents are beautiful if her— unless her love language, the number one love language, is, uh, gifts. For most women, basic need is not necessarily your gifts. We want your time. We want to know that you care. We want to know that you got us. That's what we want to know. And even when you have your shortcomings, we will compromise because you've shown us already who you are. And we just like, okay babe, we're gonna have to make a couple tweaks because, um, I ain't gonna throw the whole man away. 'But babe, we got to make a couple adjustments,' okay? So give us what we need. Stop trying to give us what society says that we should be giving, and but yet we're not getting the same result that we want. If you, if you want a result of something, aren't you going to do what's required to get that result? Or are you going to keep doing what the hell you want to do and still trying to get that result. It does not work. When you— I've studied the psychology of men, how men think, you know, how men choose wives. I also have a group of some really strong men in my life that are married, and I ask them questions. Y'all know Jack Daniels. I call Jack all the time. Jack and I be having these powwow sessions, um, and when I have a man problem, I'd be like, Jack, what you think? And he'll say, okay, April, do it like this. Okay, I understand that, so you got to do it like— so I have strong men, Jack, Joe, Kenny, Mike, Vic, Tracy, they all are strong men. And I'll ask. And so listening at that, and then the man that I ran into yesterday that said he met his wife and in 2 months they got married, been married 21 years. It still, it confirms even what my male friends tell me about how it happened for them. It don't take a man all day to recognize sunshine. If he wants you, he will come and get you. No matter how shy he is, you don't have to egg him on. You don't have to, you don't have to do none of that, especially when you're dealing with an alpha male. An alpha male, he don't want you to pursue him. He wants you to give him a little chase, and he wants you to punish him sometime too, bad behavior. So you got to understand who you're dealing with, you know, and stop trying to, um, say, I have this bag of stuff of who I am, so this is what I'm presenting you know, to the men that I meet. And then you wondering why they— they'll go in the trick-or-treat bag and they might even take out some treats, get a little treats. But then you wonder why he ghosts you and he disappears, because you have not used your feminine, um, as my girl Monique Head says, feminine allure to draw daddy in. Because you're still in your head and you're not here. You're not— you're not in your heart. You're not in your feelings. So that's all I have for you today. I wanted to share with y'all today what y'all said, spreading the knowledge. Thank you guys so much for sharing. Yes, Trina, it's the womanly wows. And some women say that's manipulation. And no, this is what just God gave us that penetrates a man, just like there's certain things that he has that penetrates us that we cannot explain. We, we don't know, we don't know, but we constantly trying to reinvent the wheel. But like I always said Beyoncé, Mary Jane, what's the other girl name, um, Olivia Pope. When Scandal first started, um, they, they was these, these alpha females. But guess what? When Olivia got lonely, what'd she do? She started envisioning herself in a beautiful home somewhere in Connecticut in the snow, making jam with Fitz. And their children. Being Mary Jane would do whatever she needed to do to have a great life and a husband. So regardless how we try to mask what we claim we don't want, we try to mask it but with things and distractions versus saying, you know what, I'm gonna be honest, woman. Yes, I want a man in my life. Yes, I want a husband and a partner that has my back and I have his. Yes, I want a man that's stable. Yes, I desire someone that's mature. Yes, I desire Yes, I desire somebody that's mentally sound. Yes, I desire someone who I can build a life with. Not, oh, he got to be super fine. Sexual attraction is important, but for women, y'all know we done gave some to some ugly brothers, so don't act like everybody you done been with was fine. Boo! That's because, you know, he had that game. He knew what to say because he knew he wasn't at the most cutest. So he knew what to say. He was like, he ain't that bad, you know, he a good dude. Y'all know, y'all know how we do. So don't act like you got— now all of a sudden you didn't got brand new, you got to have to find this man on the block when you didn't gave some to the not the most attractive brother on the block. Don't do that, okay? I'm just saying. That's all. I'm just, I'm just saying, some of you, we got some in our closet to be like, oh, I, I don't— you don't even admit that you even messed around with that joker. You won't even, you won't even, you won't even admit that. It's like, no, that one didn't count. I wasn't seeing right. I had a little bit much too much to drink, so that didn't count because I was inebriated, so he don't count. So don't get brand new now, acting like you got to have the finest man around. Is he loyal? Is he honest? Does he adore you? Is he respectful? Does he have good character? Does he have good integrity? Is he dependable? Is he— does he put in effort? Is he consistent? Is he grounded? Is he a great provider? Is he a great protector? Those are the things that you should be looking for. And of course, sexual attraction is important. I didn't say he got sexual attraction doesn't mean super fine. As long as he do it for you, as long as when he walk in the room you can look at him and say, he can get it. You got that? Leave the rest of the other foolishness alone. He got to have a six-pack and I need somebody— well, what's your body looking like? What's yours looking like? You know, I was told the other day, I said, babe, I'm trying to lose the rest of this weight. And he said, where you at? I said, right here, because I don't want to be able to squeeze my stomach. He said, how old are you? I said, I'm about to be 43. He said, babe, leave it alone. He said, just— he said, I like you where you are. Just, just, just let it be. Because once you get to that age, that, that, that ain't— yeah, as long as you ain't sloppy with it, just, just accept it for what it is. I think as women, we try to be too perfect and stuff that they're not even paying attention to, we paying attention to. So I'm like, you know what, I hear you, but Mama's still gonna try to get the rest of this, rest of this gone, the rest of this gone. Uh, glad you like it, but I still need to do this, uh, for me. I'm just saying. So anywho, let me go and let me go put my, uh, put my shea butter. I did a, I did a mixture of shea butter, mango butter, and I can't tell y'all all my concoctions, all my oils and stuff that I put in here. So I gotta get this together so I can go. Now my sister, um, my sister, uh, They came by and surprised me. They're on their way to my cousin's house, and my cousin already text me, say, girl, I'm making tacos and cupcakes, you coming over today? And my cousin just live around the corner, so yep, I'm going to go get baby Charlie, my grandbaby, and then, uh, kick it with him a little while, and then I'm going over here and give me some tacos and cupcakes. So love you guys, thank you so much for sharing. I, I wasn't trying to get on you too hard today. But I did need to explain what, you know, after he watched, listening at this video and hearing, reading the caption, how amazing this woman is. But everything had to do with her accomplishment. Men have pissing contests about their accomplishments. I'll, you know, I'll be, you know, dating and, and I'll watch him with his friends. I'm like, oh, they be, they, they too, he trying to see who could piss the furthest. So I'm watching, but yet I also see women doing the same thing that men do when they get together. And I'm like, okay, so these men, it's all about their status. It's about the kind of car they drive. It's about what they have. And so when they get amongst some other men, it's like, yeah, yeah, I'm about— no, yeah, I'm about to show you what I got, what I'm bringing to the table, and all of this other stuff, right? But as I watch that, I'm like, we do the same thing when we meet a man. So now you got two masculine men doing it. Now you have a woman in a— I mean, a masculine woman— a masculine man in a woman's body doing it. To the man that she just met. So I picked that up. I'm like, oh, I've done that before. I am guilty of, um, doing that. It's like, if you can do what I can do too. It becomes a feeling of competition, and it should not feel like competition because your man— no, the man that you meet, once you start showing him your sensitive side— and I teach you guys, there's levels to vulnerability. I'm going to be teaching that inside the VIP Academy. Make sure you join. Um, but there's levels to vulnerability. The key, in my opinion, to getting connected and close to a man is through your vulnerability, uh, your ability to be vulnerable. And, and vulnerable don't mean you got to tell them your whole life story. It's just you got to join the VIP Academy to learn that. So love you guys. Let me go put my stuff in. I got my stuff and put it in my mason jars. My daughter was like, Mama, you need to do some tutorials on all of that concoction and stuff you be making. Y'all got all kind of jars right here. I have some, um, I got a bunch of these, uh, these little jars up under the sink. Got me making stuff in here, um, as well. So I just be in here doing my, doing my— hold on— doing my, doing my thing. I think baby Charlie ready for me to come. He done screenshotted me. Oh, my baby done screenshotted his granny a picture. He ready for his granny come get him. You ready? Granny, come get baby Charlie. Okay, so anywho, gotta go, y'all. Gotta go get my baby. Can't keep my baby waiting. So love you. I hope you guys gained something out of this today. Please share, share, share, share, share. I would like this one to go viral too, considering I broke it down a little bit more, a little bit better than I did the last time. Uh, last one, 3 million views. That was great, but I, I, I'm glad I was able to come back and explain a little bit, um a little bit more in depth of what I mean, because a lot of women took it as, hey, she's saying don't have your ish together, these men ain't that. That ain't what I'm saying. So if, if you are somebody that comment on this post and write, what's wrong with a woman having her ish together, that means you have a problem with comprehending, because that ain't what I said. I think you should have all your ish together. I just don't think that you should lead with that. And I'll leave you with this: How do you know if you're leading in the masculine energy? Here's the answer to that. If you don't practice being a feminine woman, taking off the CEO hat every day, you're not operating as a feminine woman as much as you think. Whatever you do the most is what will come out. If you always putting it together on your job, if you always handling everything, if you're always doing, if you're always going, if you always, always, always, always, always You are not operating as the feminine woman in your day-to-day life. So what makes you think that you want to be able to operate as a feminine woman in your dating life? It doesn't work like that at all. It doesn't work like that. So whatever you do the most is what it will be. If you don't have my course, The Power of Femininity, go to AprilMason.com. It's a 4-part course, video course. And they have workbooks that go with it, and it will give you the breakdown of how to become more of a feminine woman. Because you got to ask yourself, we're not getting any younger. Aren't you tired of the same results? Aren't you tired of feeding yourself the same excuses? Once again, I'm not saying that men are exempt, but what I am saying is those men are men that you don't have to deal with. You don't have to try to make something work. It's either going to work or it's not going to work. Period. So when you come up with the, what about the man that don't pursue? Why do you want him? What about the man is not consistent? Why do you want him? What about the man has got a situation? Why do you want him? What about the man that's intimidated by what I do? Why do you want— why are you even concerned about those type of people? My goal is to get you to understand your value as an asset, what I call an asset woman. And if you don't have my book on being an asset, I have 10 Keys to Being a Woman Who Brings More to the Table Than Her Appetite. And, and I didn't tell y'all I ain't tell y'all because I needed to know. I needed to know. But the audiobook is out, came out in 2016. But guess what? The book will be out in July, and I added some more stuff to the book. So yes, I turned my audiobook into an actual book, so it will be on Amazon and everywhere else in July, and you'll be able to get it at my event July 21st. Uh-uh, I got a copy of the book cover last night. So I wanted to go ahead and make it into a book, and it's in my workbook, so you'll be able to write in the book and fill in the blanks and all that kind of stuff as well too. So mwah, you guys got it first right here. Love you, love you, love you. AprilMason.com to make sure you join me in Atlanta. I don't care where you are. You asking me, am I coming to other states? Um, Purpose Mate, 8 Keys to Knowing You Met Your Purpose Mate and Not Another Playmate. How to Heal, Forgive, and Let Go Once and for All is a course that I have. Second Time Around, How to Love Again After Heartbreak and Divorce, because I had to learn how to do it, y'all. So I created a course on that. I have a course called Manifest, my best-selling course. It's Manifest: How to Create the Love, Life, and Abundance That You Desire in Your Life. That's my best-selling course. And I have a plethora of others. Um, Girl, Get Your Date On: 50 Great Places to Meet Quality Men. Now that's if you have a problem and don't know what to do, because we get so caught up in everybody else, um, and every— what they doing, that we forget who we are and we don't know where to go. We don't know what to do. The kids gone for the weekend, and if you were like me, I'm an empty nester now. I ain't know what the hell to do with myself. So I had to literally have to push myself out and find things to do. So what I have done is put together 50 places, and I've done a video on each place of why I chose those places to meet quality men. And as I said, there are other courses there as well too. I'm just saying, it's all there, it's all there, baby. So love y'all, mwah! Have a wonderful, wonderful Sunday, and please make sure you share, share, share, share, share, share this video. Bye. It's not going off. It must not want me to go nowhere. Wait, hold on. People texting me. It must not want me to go nowhere, y'all, cuz it ain't going off. Hold on. I don't know what's going on. Who knows? Let's try this.
