Here is why Ayesha Curry isn't getting male attention

April Mason defends Ayesha Curry against online criticism, arguing her real problem isn't undesirability but a love-language mismatch with Steph Curry. Mason draws on her own dating experience with high-profile men to push back on the misogynistic "basic chick" narrative and explores how both men and women seek validation through materialism and public acknowledgment.

Well, hello darlings, this is April Mason here. Listen, this morning my daughter sent me over a bunch of blogs. She said, Ma, have you heard about what I— they're dragging Ayesha Curry. And she knows I am, uh, I like Ayesha Curry. I like what she represents. I like what she stands for. And I said, okay, well let me see what all of the hype is about. So I went and I actually watched the Red Table Talk to actually see what Ayesha Curry was talking about. And I watched it and I read some of the things that were being said about her, and I'm just like, well, okay, wait a minute, hold on. You know, it's very— it was very interesting to me to read some of the stuff that my daughter was sending me that people were saying, because my daughter, she was a little— she was upset with my good glasses. Y'all know I got to get my good glasses. Hold on, my good glasses. Some of the things that I was reading Um, about her, one girl says, I'm glad she said what she said because, because men used to hype her up like she was just the ideal woman to be like, like she does no wrong. Um, it says Ayesha Curry admits of lack of male attention makes her wonder if something is wrong, and someone captured it. Aren't you married though? Um, someone else wrote, um, you're married to an NBA All-Star who makes nearly $40 million a year before you add in all his endorsements, water, muscles, I think it's safe to assume that men don't try because they don't feel like they have a chance. Then someone says— where's the other one? Steph Curry, faithful, God-fearing, multi-millionaire, positive role model, treats you like a queen, one of the greatest players ever. Ayesha Curry, why don't— why don't men want to fuck with me? Okay, here we go, here we go, here we go. Y'all know Miss April, um, has to look at things from, um, some— a different perspective. Now I titled this, here's why men don't approach her, is because number one, first of all, let me say this for the women out there, and it's a lot of women saying, girl, all of— but he make all his money, he take care of you, and all of these things. Those women do not count because those women can be bought. You see, once you put how you, you feel on the inside aside because there's a dollar amount involved, you are basic and you can be bought. So any woman that feels that way, she's just letting us know that her internal— how she feels and what's going on within her from a self-development, from a growth standpoint— it doesn't count because she can be bought. So we're not even going to, you know, acknowledge those because by making the statement 'If I had a step and he's buying me this and he's worth all of this money.' Basic chicks, they can be bought. Number 2, Aisha doesn't realize that she does not— she does not and did not have to do what the other women are doing to get her man's attention, okay? She doesn't have to do that. So she got him because of who she was. Now let's, let's, let's stop right here. For me, I'm a little about my backstory. My kid's father played football, right? So I didn't— he wasn't on a Steph Curry level, but I have experienced dating, uh, influential, powerful men of, um, uh, you know, public figures, that type of thing. That's kind of what I've dated or I've attracted ever since I was younger, right? So I got a little experience when it comes to dating those kind of men. Now, with that, you have to remember, and I've been guilty of it, when you're dating someone or married to someone like that and they have a different personality than you do— she said Steph is very, you know, open, you know, he's very, um, uh, not flirtatious, but he's just very friendly, right? Well, see, the bigger issue that I heard here had nothing to do with the money because number one, she never said she was not happy. She never said that he didn't treat her well. She never said any of those things. So as I was reading, I saw a lot of men saying, well, you know what, you can't make a woman happy. She never said she wasn't happy with him. He said— and she never said that he didn't make her happy. He knew— she never said— she never said he didn't add to her happiness. Um, she never said that. So here's the thing, when you are dating or with someone who is in a public figure position and they're friendly, right, It's easy to be just— to just flow and just be in your own world and forget to introduce. So for me, when I go out and I'm with someone, there has been times where I have to be called on the carpet with, oh, you didn't— you didn't even acknowledge me, you didn't introduce me. So I had to actually work hard to make sure that I am making the person that I with— making the person that I'm with feel like they're acknowledged. Some of you said no teaching attention is needed if you have a husband. For the men that say that, get the hell out of here. This is why I say that. When I'm out by myself and I might be sitting at the bar having dinner by myself, men will come in, whether married or single, I don't know. Sometimes they have a ring on, sometimes they don't. What will happen is they will sit there, we will converse, have a great time, they feel good about themselves, or they might make reference to some things about themselves, whether it's their looks. Or I'm like, oh yeah, well, you do got some muscles going on a little bit. You do. I see your muscles. And so whether they might not be— they may be married and I may not know it, but guess what just happened? I just validated them. And a lot of times what they'll say is, well, it was, it was nice sitting here talking to you, little lady. They might have bought me a drink. Nice in here talking to you, little lady. Let me go home and get back to the wife. But guess what happened? They came out, they sat amongst a bunch of women to be validated. Why do you think when men get to a certain age and they go through this midlife crisis, to make sure— I want to still make sure I got it. So what she said, her having a husband does not take away the fact that as human beings we still want to be desirable, no matter if we have a husband or wife or not. The second thing, the other thing that I noticed was her insecurity did— is not coming from How do I put this? She said she's had to step in. She had to step in sometimes to introduce herself, right? Here's the thing, when you're not getting male attention and you— and your husband forgets to introduce you and you have to step in, it will cause you to say, wait a minute, is something going on with me? So let's not act like we are not human, okay? Because her frustration is not the lack of— really, to be honest, you male attention— it's more of, I don't get the male attention, but the bigger picture is my husband forgets to acknowledge me and I have to step in. So for those of you that are smart, what she said was, my love language is words of affirmation. That's what she's saying. But when she's not getting the words of affirmation, as far as even in a validation point, from her husband and she's not getting male attention, that's a problem. Now, doesn't mean that she doesn't have insecurities. I'm not saying that she needs— she doesn't need to get those insecurities under control. But let's not act like we don't have insecurities, because ladies, for y'all acting like y'all don't have insecurities, take off, uh, the doggone waist trainers, okay? Take off all of the other body garments. Take off all of the, you know, the weaves because you want your hair a little bit longer. Take off the eyelashes. Take off all of the other stuff. Let's not act like we don't have insecurities. We all have insecurities. I have insecurities, okay? So let's not drag her and act like, well, she got a husband, why would she be insecure? Do you not understand? A lot of you that have never, ever, ever dated a man of power, you couldn't handle a Steph Curry, okay? As a woman who have dated influential men from politics to the gospel music industry, from actors to, uh, successful public figure businessmen, there's a certain type of woman that you have to be in order to handle that. I say that because I've experienced that. However, I will say Aisha needs to work on understanding and believing I am that shit. The reason I've been able to date men of that status and caliber is because of my view of myself. What, what I let them know is, just as many chicks as you got coming after you, baby, I got just as many men coming after you. And what Aisha doesn't understand is that men are waiting for Steph to mess up, okay? They waiting. But here's the thing, and this is the sad part, I hate to have to say this, but here's the sad part: men typically respects another man's wife. Women do not respect another woman's husband. So a man can see you and say, you know what, I, I'm not even gonna go there, but if that brother ever mess up I'm coming for you. I've had those conversations, or had men that I know have been married forever— if I ever get a divorce, just know I'm coming for you. That might have been all it was. And I'm like, wow, okay. So someone said, sounds like she wants opinions. It's not that she wants opinions. When your body have changed, men, when you are a woman that you still want to be sexual, sensual, and desirable to your husband and he has all of these beautiful, gorgeous women from all walks of life throwing themselves at him, and in addition to that, he forgets to acknowledge you, it can play on you. Imagine if you were with a woman and she never acknowledges you, or she always forgets to introduce you. And I can say this from this standpoint, my son-in-law, right? My son-in-law, he liked my daughter ever since the 6th grade. Now he was very, very popular, very, very popular guy. So they finally got married, uh, they got married last year. They have the wedding in June, right? One day she calls, she's like, Ma, these women just be all on him because he's the life of the party, right? My daughter's personality is totally different from, um, my son-in-law. My son-in-law is more like me. He just get out there and we just friendly, we speak to everybody, it's all good, right? My daughter, she's more reserved, um, and she has to kind of sit back a little bit and feel you out, right? So I had to explain to her, this is who you marry, okay? This is who you married. You married someone with a different personality than you. So if you're going to be married to a man that is the life of the party that a lot of women like, I need you to upgrade your self-esteem, okay? Upsell and get those insecurities out of the way. Because a lot of women, they love to want— oh, they look at the Shamar Moores, they look at the excuse me, the Idris Elbas and the, um, and the, uh, the Barack Obamas. Every woman cannot handle what comes with that. Uh, Ayesha, on the other hand, she didn't go after a professional athlete. They fell in love before all of that even happened, right? So this is new to her. Now I do think Mama Curry needs to, um, I think Mama Curry do needs to kind of guide her a little bit in this since she, she has been, um in it for a little while longer. I think she needs to— she doesn't want to be in nobody's business, but I think Mama need to help in that area. But it, it will play on you when, no, you're not getting male attention and your husband forgets to acknowledge you. In addition to that, she has to realize once again, she may not be getting that male attention that she— that, that makes her feel like, oh, she's wanted, because of the respect that men have for Steph, but the women could give two rats asses about Aisha. Okay, there's a difference. There's a difference. Someone said it's funny, years ago she stated she didn't want the attention. But see, Antonio, you're viewing it from a— you're not viewing it from a woman perspective, so you wouldn't get it. She didn't want the attention, but what she's saying is I don't get male attention and my husband does not always acknowledge me. Those are two whammies right there. So yes, she does have insecurities, but guess what? A lot of you men have insecurities just as well too, which is why you go get toupees, which is why you go get penis implants, which is why, you know, oh, let me go lose this weight because I don't, you know, I don't want to be fat. Y'all have insecurities too. So let's not act like that, y'all. Y'all, a lot of men that are short, men that are not the most attractive, what do they do? And the ladies can vouch for this. They will always go get the best cars, they dress the best, they have the most money, they're the most flashy. Why? Because they understand that they have some insecurities in that area. Why do you think when you go out and they driving around the club trying to get the most beautiful woman but they look like dog meat? Okay, so let's not act like she's the only one with insecurities. Men with their, with their, you know, midlife crisis, that's insecurities. If she can't validate herself, the entire, the entire planet could be in her deal. Well, here's the thing, Ray, she can validate herself, but if I am with you and I know and I really don't acknowledge you, you would feel some type of a way. So let's not act like that. And a lot of you men are saying that because you're looking at the fact that he has money. Here's the thing, my last relationship was with a very powerful and influential man, you know, uh, people especially back home in California, everybody knew who he was. We couldn't go nowhere, right? Here's the thing, he would always say, April, why can't I buy you something to fix this, right? Always say that because that was his way of showing that he cared. Well, my thing was gifts are at number 4 or 5 of my love language, right? So you can't buy me anything that will fix what I'm looking for when it comes to being emotionally connected to you, okay? Men's insecurities and women's insecurities are the same. It's no different than, um, it's like Jada said, a man will lust after a woman and they'll go for the most beautiful woman but then call a woman a gold digger trying to come go after the man that has the most money, the protector provider. It's on the same playing field, okay? If y'all want beautiful women, we want protectors and providers, period. That's why you go do what you do. Money does not make everything okay. So every comment that I read when it came to the men, it was all about he has this, he has that, he has this, he has that. It's everything about what he has. That means to me you have no substance if you think those things will satisfy. April, I agree with you, but it's looked at differently. Doesn't matter if it's looked at differently, it's the same thing. If you want a beautiful woman on your arm, then you go get you some money and go get you a beautiful woman. Because here's the thing, as women, our primal need is protector-provider. Even, even in nature, look at animals. The female goes for the best protector, the best provider, the one that's gonna go get the meat and bring it back. That's just natural for us, just like wanting a beautiful woman is just natural for y'all, okay? So it's the same exact thing. So yes, Aisha definitely needs to work on her, her self-esteem or her insecurities, but at the same time, what I did hear is she said she has just accepted that he forgets to acknowledge her, right? Pretty much. But he's working on it. So she's made more of the adjustment of accepting something that makes her feel comfortable than the work that he's done to make her feel comfortable. Okay, so even if I'm in a relationship with you, it's my job to have self-esteem, but it's your job also to, to make sure that you're doing what you need to do to make me feel secure with you. I heard Denzel say that, and there was an event also um, that we were at, and a guy— a guy's wife, he was a very well-known, uh, artist. He was getting ready to perform, okay? And she was in the bathroom, and some women were in the bathroom talking about all the nasty stuff they wanted to do to her husband. Now, she never said a word. She never said a word. She let them talk. They got— was in the mirror getting pretty, all of that stuff to try to entice her husband. Well, after he finished his set He stood up, um, he said, I want to thank everybody for being here, but especially my beautiful wife. Well, the two women were sitting in front of the wife. She turned around, blew him a kiss, waved, hey baby. That was it, okay? So that's because she had a level of security, a level of self-esteem. I remember with my ex, we were at his book signing. All the women that he done dated and all the ones that was trying to get with him that couldn't stand me was walking up to me with an attitude. Um, I would like to buy some books. I would like to buy some books. What did I do? With a smile on my face, will that be debit, credit, or cash? Why did I do that? Number one is I have— I'm securing myself. And number two, we was going to Vegas the next day to spend y'all money. Why y'all looking at me crazy? All right, so with Ayesha, she needs to understand who she is. Who gives a damn about her husband being rich? We have women with this issue and they man work, work at the UPS, you know, he drive the UPS and the FedEx truck. So this is not just the Aisha, your husband is rich issue. As a dating coach, and like 40% of my clients are married women, I see this across the board. So it's not an Aisha issue, it's a— ladies, understand who you are as a woman. Value yourself as a woman. Understand what you have to bring to the table as a woman. Understand that just because somebody may have more notoriety than you, it does not mean that you are less valuable. Because at the end of the day, the world will— just like they praise you one minute, they will take that praise back the next minute. So I think we need to stop equating money and material things to a person's value and worth, okay? Because I see it all the times. Money— you— someone said money does equate to confidence, a certain level of confidence. You— how many people do you know with money that commit suicide, that are unhappy? How many people do you know that have money that are dealing with battling depression and anxiety, but they got a pocket full of money? Okay, let's not act like it doesn't happen. So what she did was be honest and vulnerable, which people say we're supposed to be able to do, but then here comes the internet and drags her. Her view of herself needs to increase. That's all this is about. As well as Steph needs to do better work of introducing her so she doesn't have to step in and introduce herself. So everybody's saying all of this other stuff. Let me, let me ask you this, ladies. Why is it that it's so important to you that when you're dating a man you want to know, well, what are we, where are we going? Because you want to be validated as who you are in this relationship or whatever is going on. Fellas, the same thing with you, the same thing as you. Okay, who's— someone says the marriage is a union from God. Truth is she doesn't want to be married anymore. How do you know that, Don? Did you ask her if she wanted to be married? It doesn't sound like she doesn't want to be married. It sounds like people that have been married, including myself, there's just certain things we have to work on. So someone— once again, she never said she was not happy. She never said that he treats her bad. All she said was he sometimes forgets to acknowledge her or introduce her when she's standing there. That's what she— that's what she said. And when you have a bunch of beautiful women in front of him and he does not— he forgets to acknowledge, in addition to my body has gone through all these changes, I ain't feeling sexy no more, you know, you going all the time— not saying he's done anything. Somebody said, how do you know that he has not introduced? Because she said it. Watch the interview. This is exactly what she said. That's her bigger issue. But you have to listen with wise ears. You can't listen from— this is Steph Curry, $40 million man. You can't look at it from that point. You got to look at it from what a woman is saying. And this is why men and women always have issues. You're hearing what you want to hear versus hearing what's being said. She's not receiving the validation that she needs, that she still— that, that she's, you know, she— that she needs from her love language. Because her love language, it It was easy for me to hear that her love language, um, is words. It was words. It was— I mean, it's a simple fix. So if I am your woman and every time we go out, or, or more times than not, it's very noticeable to me that you do not introduce me, that's a problem. And once again, I've had to check myself on it because when you are just a bubbly, outgoing people person, you just get to talking. I was out on a date with someone and a lady walks up to me, oh my God, April Mason, I love you, blah blah blah blah blah. He walks over and said, excuse me, but my name is— and I— that let me know, okay, hey, you, you got to do better. You know, it's more, it's more of just a reassurance. It's not even anything that, um, is that really that serious. It's more of a reassurance, fellas. Just like you want your woman to reassure that you putting it down in the bedroom. If she laid there and your wife never made a moan, she never moved, she never did any of that, she never enjoyed sex with you, if she, if she gave you oral sex, it was out of obligation, but there was no type of nothing with it, you would feel the exact same way, okay? If you— if she laying there just, and you putting in the best performance that she— of your life, and your wife every time, more times than not, you notice she don't make no movement, she don't do nothing. How would you feel about that? But yet somebody said, how does that compare? If you don't understand it, then I'm talking over your head. So at the end of the day, we all want reassurance from the one that we are with. We want the one that we're with. All she wants is to be acknowledged and reassured. But the fact that she could say that, it says that it's an issue for her. And the fact that she could say, well, I've kind of just accepted it but he's working on it. She really didn't want to accept it as much as she wanted him to work on it. Meaning work on, work on being, um, acknowledging her more as far as introducing her. Someone said that's sexual incompatibility. Doesn't matter what it is, it's your wife. And then again, it might not be sexual incompatibility. It might be when y'all got together at the beginning of the marriage, because y'all didn't have no kids or anything, you was putting in that work and she was feeling you. And then now down the line that you're married, it ain't that your performance just ain't great, it's just there's some things that are not being done that makes her want to reassure you. Or it could be your performance is slacking. And, and men don't pay her any attention. I, I addressed that. Men don't pay her any attention in the way that she would like, in my opinion, is because it's not that men aren't watching Men know wife material, and men also tend to respect another man's wife more than women respect another woman's husband. I see it all the time. Men don't— men don't come after women who are married or in relationships as tough as women don't give a damn if a man has a wife or a girlfriend, um, and she— he's a power— he's a power— he's a powerhouse. They don't care, okay? They don't care. So she doesn't see it, but please understand, there are men waiting for Aisha Curry to come through. They waiting on Steph to mess up. She just doesn't see it because she's not focused there. We all want to know that we're still desirable. Or we wouldn't do what we do. Men wouldn't have these midlife crisis and then try to start dating these young girls to make them feel like they still got it. They wouldn't do that. So let's stop acting like it's, it's just only her with insecurities, okay? Let's stop acting like, you know, uh, you know, she was wrong or embarrassed him. She didn't embarrass him. What she said was he's friendly and women get in his face. And she said he's, he sometimes, he's forget— gotten to introduce or acknowledge me and I've had to step in. Nobody wants to have to do that all the time. I'm gonna tell you something, fellas, about women. Women like to feel like we your girl, right? We love that. When we out with you and you introduce us, especially if you're new to it, and you say, well, oh, uh, hey, this is my lady such and such, we love that. That does something for us. So it's not that she is just like, oh my God, she's just so insecure, she need to get herself together because her husband, man, has money. That's what we're hearing on the internet. Because of his status, she should be secure and reassured. Y'all basic if that's what you think. How many marriages end with people with money because the other parts are not there? Money is not everything. Women that are screaming, you know, you know, girl, she tripping because her man do this— you basic. You can be bought. Any woman that screams that, girl, hmm, he make $40 million, he got all of this stuff, honey, please, she deserves, uh, what she getting because blah You are basic. You can be bought and you have no standards, nor do you have no morals. You might as well be just one of those chicks that are out there chasing these athletes with these wives. You're basic, totally basic. So I want you to look at it from a different perspective. I haven't really been on the internet, internet, or reading, um, reading much. My daughter had to tell me about it. She's like, Mama, I think you need to talk about this. Um, what are your thoughts on it? And bottom line, she isn't getting the attention that she wants. Um, because really the attention, how she wants it, she wants it from her husband. And men respect Curry more than women respect Ayesha. Okay, what does Marjorie Harvey have to do with it? Marjorie Harvey— we can't, we can't talk about Marjorie Harvey because Marjorie Harvey is more secure than Ayesha Curry. So this, that's apples and oranges. This, okay? Yes, that, that was the— oh, I'm sorry, that was the biggest thing for me too, Anthony, is that she's being dragged by mostly women. And see, but see, here's the thing, those women— I'm going to tell you something about women like that. Women who are not accustomed to dating men of power, men of means, men of influence, right? They, they will drag you because they're not accustomed to it. When— and they will stay and deal with BS from the man with money, power, and influence because they're not used to it. Now, when you're used to it— when I had a girl tell me recently, because there was someone, you know, that we was working it all out, and I was like, uh, I don't know. And she was like, girl, if you get with him, you will be married to a legend. And I'm like, yeah, but I I ain't feeling it like that, you know. And but look at how it could change your career. Look at how it would take you to a different platform. You would always be able to say April Mason was married to the legend, blah blah blah blah blah, right? And I said, I understand. I said, but the reason why you're telling me to go ahead and go with it is because you're not accustomed to dating men of that caliber. So for you, your mindset is totally different than my mindset. Those come dime a dozen for me. So the money, the material things, the status doesn't matter to me in the same manner as it matters to basic thinking chicks. Am I making sense? When you're used to lack, you, you have a lack mentality no matter what it is, whether it's money, whether it's, uh, you know material things when you have a lack mentality. So she was really trying to— April, April, April, you need to marry him, you need to marry him. Look at what you go— everything was look at what I could get. But you gotta understand, I got my own coin, I got my own platform, I'm cool exactly where that's at, I got my own stuff. So I don't need to marry someone just based upon the fact that my stock in, in, in the secular world will go up, and that I can pack out thousands of women at conferences now, and that I can, you know, do a whole lot of other things. That's basic woman thinking. So with Ayesha, it's pretty much the same thing. She doesn't need Steph for his money. She got her own stuff going on. It's not that. It's, I need to be reassured as a woman that my man still finds me desirable. Forget the money, honey. So that's what y'all— what lack mentalities aren't thinking about, because you're only looking at the monetary because you have not had access to that world. But when you've had access to that world and you have a standard and you have integrity and you cannot be bought. Who gives two rats behind about a man's money? Okay, so let's look at things from a different perspective. She is a woman before she is Steph Curry's wife. All women have insecurities. If you don't, you lying. If you have— if you don't have insecurities, Take off that body shaper and those, uh, what is that, waist trainer, off right now, girl. Take it off. Take the weave out. Take the wig off. Take it off right now. Take it all off. Everything. If you won't leave your house without your face being beat, there— what's the problem? What's the problem, fellas? If you're going to get toupees, what's the problem? Be okay without having your insecurity, your insecurities, fellas. If you got the short man syndrome What's the problem? What's up with these insecurities, fellas? If you think the only way to get a beautiful woman is by buying her or trying to give her gifts and showing her all of your material things, uh-uh. What's the problem? If you have a small penis and you try— you trying to figure out how you can get the penis pump to pump it up, or you trying to get injections or get the little penis implant, uh-uh. What's the problem? Come on, let's not act like we don't have insecurities, okay? Heck, I was— if you watch my Instagram, I was hula hooping this morning trying to get this last little pooch, you know, on my stomach. That's one of my insecurities. I hate that food pile, ladies. Y'all already know. So I will put on a waist trainer if I need to. Why? Because that's one of my insecurities. I hate that thing. And I'm trying hard as hell to get the rest of this back fat off Miss Mason's back, okay? So what do we do to get the back fat to look smooth in the dress, baby? We put on something that make us look smooth in the dress, okay? So let's stop dragging her because of that, like we don't have it, all because Steph Curry makes money. Who gives a damn? Only basic chicks think that way because they're not accustomed to dating or being married to men that, that have means, notoriety. They're public figures, they're influential. Once you've experienced that, to be honest with you, you realize they're no different than any other man. You just put them on a platform or on a pedestal because of the money. So what it does is it'll make you look at yourself as less than because you're valuing yourself by the net worth, not by who you actually are. And what Aisha don't get, which I would love to have— she would be one of my girlfriends, I would love to sit down, um, and have a conversation with her— what she doesn't get is Steph chose her. So while all of the rest of you chickens is running around behind these men, Steph chose her. Now, although he chose her, we still need to be reassured sometimes, especially— she didn't have babies back to back to back. Our bodies be all over the place. One of my clients was married— I mean, she is married— and she used to be upset because her husband used to always go to the strip club. And I said, well, do you want to keep your marriage? She said, yeah. I said, well, you're gonna have to be his stripper. She said, but I don't like my body. I said, but he's been asking you to be his stripper. She said, but Miss April, I just don't feel comfortable. So if you don't feel comfortable being that for him, are you mad that— why you can't— you can't be mad that he giving the money to the strippers, right? So we had to go find her a little outfit and I had to suck her in, you know, but you know, we put your foot in our back and suck her in. You gonna be this man's everything because he ain't tripping because you tripping because you didn't have these babies, okay? So fellas, I'm saying this to you so you will understand. You may not get it, but a woman We want to be and feel sexy within ourselves. And if we with you, especially when we know that women be at you all the time, every time you leave out the house, we want to make sure you bring that behind on back to the house. Okay? Okay. So we want to be that way. My grandmother taught me, and when I was married, I used to be the finest thing he saw when he got up and the finest thing he saw when he went to bed. Now, my definition of fine— I ain't glammed up all the time. I might have on a baseball cap, some lip gloss, and some mascara, and my— but my— I'm put together. I I believe in being put together. My husband ain't gonna come home, honey, and I'm looking a hot mess. That's just not gonna happen. Even if I'm sick, I'ma still try to put it together, honey. But I think we have to understand, fellas, this is really, really for you. And for the women that are dragging her, basic chick syndrome. We don't, we don't care about them because they, they proven that they proven to some red bottoms, you know, um, some Saint Laurent, um, you know, a little Dooney Bourke, little Louis Vuitton they can be bought. So, uh-uh. Let's see, it says he chose her and it's so disrespectful when women have, have want to play instead of appreciating the marriage bond. Um, yeah, well, you know what, here's the thing. He did choose her, but just because I chose you does not mean that I reassure you. It's just like a woman in a relationship with a man and a man said, man, she don't appreciate it. And I wanted to throw this in there for the fellas too. If you don't hear nothing else I say, hear this. When you tell a woman, or when you say, I give her everything, I, I pay the bills, I, I take care of the household, you know, all of this stuff, fellas, always ask yourself this. Although those are commendable and we love when you do that, ask yourself before you say I gave her everything, did I ask her what she needed from me? Normally my, my clients, my male clients who are married that come and we sit down and we coach together They'll tell me this all the time. And I said, but sweetheart, did you ask her what she needed from you? Please understand, she appreciates the hard work you put in. She appreciates the fact that you take care of the family. She appreciates that. But have you found out what her love language is? Have you found out what moves her? Have you actually said, well baby, you know what, we keep going back and forth and our communication is off. What exactly is it you need from me? 'Cause I'm thinking I'm doing it. I'm paying the bills, I'm taking care of you, you dressing how you want to dress, you do all of these other things. How can I better— what do you need from me? Someone said she never mentioned her relationship with Steph. She actually did mention her relationship with Steph, 'cause if you really listen to what she was saying, she did say she doesn't get attention from other men. And you know, Steph does not always introduce her or acknowledge her in front of people. So she says, well, I feel like I got to step in and say, hey, I'm going— I'm a grown woman, I'm Aisha. So that's the bigger picture right here. I don't need y'all to be basic in your thinking. It's not necessarily just about getting attention from other men. Every woman wants to feel that she still has it and she still wants it, married or not married. I meet so many older women and older men in their 60s and 70s, oh, I still got it. I still got it. I remember I was telling some friends of mine last year, I went out with a guy, I thought he was 52 years old. We go out and he gets to talking and he tells me he's 72. My girls would have thought he was no more than 55. Well, it validated him that he could pull this 43-year-old. It made him feel like he was still wanted. So let's stop acting like Aisha did so something so bad when we function like this in our lives every single day. And I told him, I said, you you know what, this 29-year difference is a little much for me. And he said, yeah, normally I date women between 55, you know, and 65. Normally that's what I like. He said, but you know, the fact that, you know, you went out with me because you thought I was younger, he said, that did it for me. And I actually hooked him up with somebody else that was more age-appropriate. Okay, so let's not act like, you know, we walk around with spouses that, um, have— that keep us secure at all times, that we, we're, we're at our best at all times. We're not. Men feel insecure when they ain't got no money. Why won't you date? Well, man, I got to get my money right because I don't want her telling me that, you know what, she can't date me because I ain't got no money. That's the insecurity. You, the lack of money is an insecurity for you. That's why you go get the money so you can go get the girl. Okay, so come on, stop dragging her. Stop dragging her. Somebody says, I'm 52 and I'm validated by 30-year-olds and it feels great. Absolutely it does. I get hit on by the 22s, the 28s, like clockwork. I'm like, boy, I'm old enough to be your mama, but okay, you know. So we all want to feel special, we all want to feel desirable, we all want to feel like we are reassured when we're with our mate. So when she's not getting attention outside of the house nor— and she mentioned, she didn't have to mention that part, but the fact that she did mention he forget— he's friendly and he just talked to everybody and he'll be standing there and forget to— and forget to acknowledge me, that's a problem for her. But she's learned how to accept it. Rewatch that part again and you'll hear what I heard. But once again, when I heard it, I can only say I'm guilty. I'm guilty because I've been out with men that I did not— when someone came over, when an April Mason supporter came over, somebody read my books or watched me here, have come over and I didn't acknowledge. And I'm making an effort, I'm making a big effort now to, no matter if I'm on a first date or if we are in a long-term relationship, if someone comes over to me and speaks to me, I will acknowledge. Hey, this is so nice to meet you, this is such and such. I will do that because what that does is reassures him that I value him and his company. You know, that he is my attention, even though people coming over here and I get— in Atlanta, I get folks always walking up, can we take a picture? I'm still acknowledging that he's there. Now, he doesn't require that, but I don't want to hear nobody's mouth because I have heard it and have been called out on it quite a bit because I'm just a people person. Hey, how y'all doing? I'll just go into April Mason mode of thank you so much, I really appreciate you for buying my books or coming to my events, blah blah blah. And then I'll turn back and sit down and start having a basic conversation. Oh, hey honey, so let's talk about this food. I'll do that. But he's sitting there like, so you gonna— and I've had one say, so you just gonna act like that didn't happen? We're still together, okay? So it made me say, don't get so caught up in your career and what you do, and when your fans and supporters approach you, that you forget about the one that you roll with. Okay, so that's all I have to say. That's all I have to say. I would love— my daughter said, my, you and Ayesha would definitely be friends because y'all kind of the same. Um, I said, yeah, I would just need to work on my sis, um, confidence and have her understand she is a hot commodity. You know, she's not only— forget being Steph Curry's wife, you are Ayesha, baby. Okay, and just as many men that— I mean, women that Steph got coming after him, there's a bunch of men that want love to come after you. The only difference is Men have more respect for another man's wife than women have respect for another man's, uh, husband— another woman's husband. That's the only difference. Only difference. Men don't come throw themselves at women, married women like that. But women, they don't care. And that's something that women need to work on right there. Women are hating on her and she act like she perfect. The fact that you think she's perfect says a lot about you. Okay, what do you— what do you do? What do you introduce your male friend as if you aren't engaged or married, you're— and you're over 40? Well, if you're not engaged or married and if you guys are dating, you know, that's my man, that's my lady. If y'all are just, um, dating or y'all haven't become a title yet, um, this is my friend, because at that point that's your friend. Until he— until y'all get it. I tell her, I normally say, until the man gives you a title, he's just my friend. Oh, I'm just your friend? Well, baby, I don't— we, we ain't established what we doing here now, so you just my friend right now. But that's the level of confidence that Aisha has to have, okay? So you don't wear— until he— until a man gives a title, honey, I don't be seeking one because my— I'll be like, okay, well, I'm still collecting data on you. You. So I don't need no title right now. I'm good. This is my friend. And once he starts getting old, so I'm just your friend, you just gonna introduce me as your friend. Well, who am I to you? Oh, you know you're my lady. Well, I didn't know that until you just now told me that. So now that I'm your lady and you introduce me as your lady, you're my man now. That's it. But Aisha just needs— she's young, you know. They, they what, 30? They young, so they got time to grow, y'all. They got time to grow. They looks like they have good role models. But I just had to say something because y'all women are drag— y'all basic women are dragging her for being insecure, all because you view it as she's insecure but look at who her husband is with all of this money. You're basic and you can be bought. And I'm sure a man don't have to have— he could be a hundredaire or a thousandaire and you can be bought. Okay, gotta go. Have a wonderful day, y'all. Bye.
