Overcoming Molestation Part 2

A speaker addresses survivors of sexual abuse, noting that most perpetrators are people the victim knows. He argues survivors should forgive abusers even without apology, drawing parallels to Jesus's crucifixion, and urges listeners to release unforgiveness through faith in Christ.

As I told you before, most victims are molested by somebody that they know. Those statistics that I gave you bring tears to my eyes because it causes so many emotional issues in your life when you're molested. Many of us, including myself in the bypass, are waiting for somebody to come out and apologize to us. To tell us, "I'm sorry. I'm sorry for what I did." But we continue to hold bitterness, anger, and unforgiveness because nobody will come and apologize to us. Did anyone come and apologize to Jesus? They crucified him. They didn't come back later on and say, "My bad. You are the Christ." They never said a word. My question to you is, what if the person that raped you, molested you, even beat you never apologized or even acknowledged the fact of what they did? What will you do? Will you still hold on to unforgiveness? What if they don't? You see, as I got deeper into this thing and when I was holding so much unforgiveness and so much bitterness, God took me to and gave me more insight on the crucifixion. Now, we all know the crucifixion. We see the picture with the so-called Jesus and and the blood running down his face and all that stuff. As God showed me in depth, more in depth about the crucifixion, what he showed me was he was beat with a whip, but the whip had metal thrones on the end. So every time they lashed at him, there was flesh being pulled off of his skin. It was tearing into the deep muscle tissues every time they would lash him. A crown of thorns was pressed on his head. Now, it's said that the head, the scalp, is the most veined part of the body. So they didn't just place it, they pressed it, bursting the veins in his scalp. As they were beating him, They put his robe back on him. You know when you have a wound and you put cloth on it, it starts to adhere to the wound. Well, they put it on him and then they ripped it back off, opening up the wound in the flesh even more. I think the thing that really got me is when he showed me how they put the nails in his hands and one nail in his feet. Those nails were holding the weight of his body, causing the nails to rip the palms of his hands because they didn't brace him in. It was almost like he was hanging. You know, you kind of hang and it was continuing to rip the palms of his hands. The thing that just is just terrible, you know, is the fact that they even made him carry his own cross. Some theologians say the cross weighed between 75 and 163 pounds, and they carried it on his bloody back. And my thing is to you, Willie, they never came and apologized. And the funny thing is, the Bible tells us in Acts 5:31, it says, him, him hath God exalted with his right hand to be the prince and a savior, or to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins. They did all that to him, but he had to become forgiveness for them. God knew that you would have to endure being violated. And other adverse acts due to no fault of your own. It wasn't his fault that he got crucified. He didn't do anything wrong. What did he do wrong? And I know you're asking yourself, what did I do wrong? What did I do to deserve this? Jesus had to endure the same thing. And not once, not once did he say, "Why me?" So my thing to you is, don't let your past dictate your future. Don't worry if they don't apologize. Don't worry if they don't say they're sorry. Don't even worry if they don't even acknowledge the fact. That they molested you. I know you're sitting there watching this and the memories are starting to pour in about when you were a little girl and you had to perform oral sex on your father or he performed oral sex on you. I know you're sitting there as a young lady thinking about how you had to be fondled and how people told you to fondle them, be it man or woman. As a young boy, you're sitting there watching this Wondering why did that male figure in your life have to violate you. Now your emotions are all over the place and now you don't know whether you're a man or if you're heterosexual or homosexual because you don't know because your first experience with sexuality was with the same sex. I'm here to tell you there's a way out. Through Jesus Christ. God didn't call you to be a homosexual. God didn't call for you to be a gay or lesbian. So many of my ladies that I mentor, that I counsel, become lesbians because of what happened to them in their life. They figure, well, if I become like a boy, nobody can take anything from me. The devil is a lie. Homosexuality is from the devil. It's an abomination. God made Adam and Eve, not Eve and Yvonne or Adam and Steve. If he wanted it to be male and male, female and female from the beginning, that's what he would have created. There is restoration. You can be restored. If you gotta cry out loud, if you gotta scream and holler, God got you. He has you. You just have to be willing to make the step to him, cuz he's waiting on you.
