Overcoming Molestation Part 4

In this sermon‑style video the speaker presents a four‑step, faith‑based framework for survivors of sexual molestation to achieve forgiveness and healing. The steps are: (1) Choose – forgiveness is a conscious decision, not a feeling; (2) Depend – reliance on the Holy Spirit and God’s power is essential; (3) Obey – Scripture (Luke 6:27‑28; Romans 12:14) commands believers to love, bless, and pray for their abusers; (4) Release – actively let go of past violations through a specific, repeated prayer that names each violator and asks God to remove bitterness. The speaker also offers an altar invitation for listeners to accept Christ, provides a detailed forgiveness prayer, and promotes the “Broken But Not Bound” movement, which tours churches to break the cycle of molestation. The tone is urgent, passionate, and instructional, urging listeners to stand against the enemy, reclaim their lives, and embrace God’s love.
Chapters
Number 2 is choose. You will never forgive if you wait till you feel like, oh, okay, I'm gonna wait till I feel like forgiving somebody. We'll never lose weight unless— until we— if we wait till we feel like losing weight. Who wants to exercise? Who wants to do stuff that our body really don't want us to do? Y'all know I always said I had an issue with cake. Who want to stop eating cake? So you will never Forgive if you wait. So forgiveness is a choice. You'll never feel like doing it, but you have to make the choice to forgive. You have to say, I'm standing up, I'm tired of my life being in shambles, I'm tired of every year I'm going through the same crap, every year, month after month, day after day, week after week. I can't do this anymore. You're gonna have to stand up against the enemy. It's timeout for being weakling. It's time to stand up against the enemy and take your life back. Number 3: Depend. You cannot depend without the power of the Holy Spirit, the Comforter. Can't do it. It's too hard to even try to do anything on your own, let alone forgive someone for violating you. The Holy Spirit Jesus Christ, the Father. It's who you depend on. Days is gonna get a tru— it's gonna get trying. I used to lay out on the floor screaming and hollering because I was tired. I couldn't do it no more. I'm like, God, help me, help me. And I depended on him. Number 4, obey. The word gives us clear description on how and why we are supposed to forgive our enemies. In Luke 6:27-28, it says— now, I, I didn't write it, I'm just a messenger— it says pray for those that have abused. You're supposed to pray for those that abuse and wrong you. Luke 6:27-28 says But I tell you who hear me, love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, and pray for those that mistreat you. Romans 12:14 says, bless those who persecute you, bless and do not curse. You cannot walk in forgiveness if you don't obey the word of God. Number 5, this is my favorite one: release. You gotta let it go. You have to let it go. Let go all of the path violations for real. Not saying And most people don't even say it, they don't even deal with it, they just keep moving on with life like nothing ever happened. It's like driving down the street, you run somebody over in the middle of the street, you keep going like nothing ever happened, but that person is laying there wounded, but you continue on. It's time to release. It's time to release. And for all of you that are out there that do not know Jesus Christ, before you can start asking him to forgive and start asking him to make a move in your life, you have to be one of his. So if you're ready to dedicate your life to Christ so that he can start doing a wonderful work in your life, say this simple prayer: Father God, I thank you so much for giving me life. I thank you so much for caring enough about me. I believe that your son Jesus died and rose on the third day. I accept you into my heart. You are my Lord and Savior. I love you, God. Take me as I am. And I give my all to you. In Jesus' name, amen. Sayin' that little prayer, you saved now. You are part of the kingdom. Welcome to the kingdom. Now at this moment, this is the time now where you can really start to get into your word and start really asking God to heal your heart. I have this prayer that I say, that I said when I was going through my transitional period, and it was to help me forgive my violators. And I want you to say it as well too. It says, Lord, I come before you, giving you thanks and all praise and honor, thanking you for who you are and what you've done. You are the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. You are Alpha and you are Omega. I ask you to forgive me for my sins I may have committed, knowing and unknowingly. I ask you to come into my heart and mend the broken pieces. I have been broken. I have been mistreated. I have been stepped on. But God, I know you can fix me. Lord, I ask that you remove the bitterness and hurt from my heart. Lord, I now forgive— and in this section right here, you call out your violator's name. I now forgive John Doe for— now call out the violation— for touching me. I now forgive Jane Doe for fondling me. Call them out as many times as you have to. I forgive Jane Doe for speaking negative words over my life. Lord, I forgive my mother, my father, whoever it may be, for not protecting me. Lord, I forgive myself for condemning myself for the violations that took place. Lord, I now ask that you release me from those that have wronged me, those that have abused me, and I will not carry it another day. I am no longer a victim, but I'm a victor. I am no longer the tail, but I am now the head. I am more than a conqueror. I am beautifully and wonderfully made. And I love you, God, for creating me just the way that I am. I thank you, Lord God, for your grace and mercy, and I ask all these things in Jesus' name. Amen. If you have to say that prayer on a regular basis, go for it. Continue on. Because it's time to release the past and embrace the future. I've launched the Broken But Not Bound movement, and we go from city to city on tour preaching, breaking the cycle of molestation. Molestation has a stronghold on our churches and our communities, and it's time out. There's so many people sitting in our churches and our communities hurting. We can't have that anymore. Those that are in our pulpits struggling with perverted thoughts and perverted passions. No more. We have to stand up against the enemy. We have to stand up because Jesus Christ is the way. We have to protect our young. We have to protect our families so that this demon won't be passed down from generation to generation. It stops with you. But you have to open up your mouth. You have to be heard. You have to get healed so you can go out and tell your testimony so that it can help others. For more information about the Broken But Not Bound movement, visit www.aprilmaithenministries.com or myspace.com/womanofwonders with an S on the end. It's time to release the past and embrace the future. You may be broken, but you are never bound. God loves you, I love you, and it's time to bask in God's love. For those that have violated you and you thought you weren't deserving of love anymore, the Father's love is all you need. He'll restore your self-worth because you're far beyond ruby, far beyond diamond. You're a king's daughter. You're not just James Ingram's daughter or Blow Joe's daughter, Jane Doe or John Doe's daughter. You are a daughter of the King. You are a son of the King. And the King only wants the best for his children. Don't you think it's time to release the past? You have greatness inside of you. It's time to release the past and embrace the future. Let God do it. It's over. It's over. The curse is broken in Jesus' name.
