In this 2010 YouTube sermon, Pastor April Mason delivers a heartfelt encouragement to believers facing spiritual and personal trials. She shares her own recent hardships, describing feelings of being abandoned by God and attacked by the enemy, yet urges listeners to persist, re‑strategize, and trust that their current season is temporary. Mason emphasizes that the enemy intensifies opposition when a minister’s deliverance work can impact a generation, and she recounts personal struggles with cussing, frustration, and the temptation to quit ministry. She highlights the importance of refusing to quit, viewing trials as a privilege that signals God’s faith in the minister, and points to a prophetic awakening that will empower her to prophesy. Throughout, she interweaves biblical references (Judas, fiery trials) and personal anecdotes, concluding with a call to action: visit her websites (AprilMason.com, BrokenButNotBound.com, WhatsInYourHand.net, Ministry Financing Secrets) and join her on Facebook for further encouragement and resources. The overall message is to keep moving forward despite what one sees, trusting God’s provision and purpose.

Hey everybody, April Mason once again, and I wanted to just encourage you a little bit. In spite of what you see, continue to move forward. I'm going to give you that little piece today. In spite of what you see, continue to move forward. I talk from a place of, um, understanding. I've had to go through a lot of things in the last 90 days and I'm like, God, why me? Why? Why, you know, did it feel like the rug just got pulled from up under me? You sent me to do this, you sent me to do that. Okay, it's not looking like what you said. But if it's not looking like what he said and what you know he's instructed and giving you a mandate to do, don't trip, because this means that you're only in a temporary season, a temporary situation. Don't second-guess yourself. You may have to re-strategize because the enemy is coming hard when he knows that what you carry, deliverance, and what you carry can help a generation of people. He's going everything he can to knock you down. Someone told me, April, what made you think that you were coming into a city and bringing hope, showing people that they can be delivered, helping them break the chains and shackles of molestation, domestic violence, physical abuse, self-esteem issues, sexual perversion, that everything was going to be easy? Who are you to say, God, why me? And act all girly and start crying. He's given it to you because you can bear it. And I was crying. I'm like, God, I don't understand this. Why they got to do this to me? These are people that said God said it, and they said that they were sent here for me. Judas was a part of Jesus' camp, and we saw what he did. So at that moment, I could not complain about what the trials— the fiery trials— because y'all know the It's been turned up 7 times. The fire been turned up 7 times hotter. But it's okay, because as long as you don't quit— you might get tired, you might get frustrated, you might want to throw stuff, tell somebody off. And some of y'all got that cussing spirit. Y'all, y'all still ain't stop cussing. And I'll tell you the secret. When I first started preaching several years ago, well, I hadn't been delivered from cussing all the way. So I say, God, I gotta go out here and preach, but please don't let me cuss. Because every now and again, you know, you get hyped and you'd be like, yeah, you know, because this— and then yeah, something might come out. But I never had that issue. But some of y'all, you know, we're gonna pray with you on the cousin's spirit, you know, because I know sometimes people will, will send you there, will cause you to go there. But be encouraged and know that what you're going through right now, you're not by yourself. Many of your leaders are going through it as well. The only difference is We refuse to stop. We refuse to give up. We refuse to say, I quit. And it's been many a days I wanted to say, Lord, I quit. I'm going back to Atlanta. I love Atlanta. Atlanta love me, doggone it. I got to, you know, I have this in Atlanta. I can do that in Atlanta. But God didn't tell me that. He said, no, I'm sending you. You got to endure it. So count it a privilege, to be honest with you, and an honor when you go through it. Because that means that God has enough faith in you that you're going to continue on. And that's a whole nother level of anointing. I'm like, Lord, I just be prophesying before— I didn't even know that. I didn't even understand it. But then the prophecy came back to me that said, you know what, get ready because you're getting ready to, um, God's getting ready to give you the grace to prophesy. And I didn't realize that's what I was doing. And I was calling folks saying, you know what, this is getting ready to happen. I told you blah blah blah blah blah, and this is what God does, said the Lord, and yada yada. And I'm like, okay, well, I'm just hanging up the phone. And then I'm I get a phone call that says, you know what, another prophet came to me and said, I'm a this and that and the other. And I said, yeah, I mean, that's what he said. And they said, you know what, you told me that and I didn't understand that. So just because you don't get it all the way, don't give up. Because in my mind, I was like, Lord, you know, look, I didn't sign up for this. But remember, on that day that you got saved and gave your life to God, Most of us, we was always in, already in some stuff. And we were like, God, whatever you want me to do, I'll do. Just save me from myself and save me from this man and this chick. You know, we go all in that. He might not cash in on that, that part where you said, whatever you want me to do, I'll do right then. But please understand, he will cash in on it. So be encouraged. Know that I love you. God loves you. Continue to push on. Be sure to go check out AprilMason.com, the new website is coming, and we're doing April Speaks. You know, I always got something to say. That's what God has called you to. So I'm here and standing in what I'm supposed to be doing, and my job is to get you to understand him so you can get to your place. You can stand and do what you're supposed to do. All right, love you guys so much. Be encouraged. Don't worry about what you see. Matter of fact, put your sunnies on and, you know, and close your eyes and be fly with it. Even though it might hurt, what they said might hurt, what they did might hurt, don't worry about it. Put your sunglasses on, put your shades on, and go ahead about your business and understand that God got you. Love you so much. Pastor April signing out.
