I Would've Gotten Jacked AND Mobile Sooner Once I Did This

In this informal, conversational fitness video, the hosts (Speaker A and Speaker B) argue that traditional weight‑lifting alone leads to muscle gains but also to stiffness, tightness, and a loss of functional movement. They demonstrate a hybrid training approach that pairs heavy‑weight sets (typically 2‑3 sets to failure with moderate dumbbells) with mobility‑focused drills such as lateral shuffles, quick bound hops, single‑leg active movements, and plyometric exercises. The dialogue stresses that true “good muscle” must be functional—coordinated, fluid, and capable of explosive movement—citing Olympic lifters as strong but not necessarily the most athletic. Throughout the routine they weave in specific accessory work: weighted bicep curls, isometric leg‑extension holds for knee health, weighted pull‑ups and dips for upper‑body strength, clap or explosive push‑ups for power, and varied‑intensity ab training (hanging leg raises, body‑weight work). They also discuss leg‑training volume (higher reps, endurance focus), the role of cardio in fat loss, and the necessity of clean nutrition to support muscle growth. The overarching message is longevity: training all movement planes, incorporating mobility, cardio, and proper diet prevents the age‑related stiffness that plagues many after their 40s, allowing one to stay strong, agile, and healthy for decades.
You finally figured out that lifting weights alone would not make you mobile or take away the stiffness and tightness you currently feel. Luckily for you, I'm gonna show you how to obviously build muscle and be less stiff, you know what I'm saying? Mitigate that stiffness you feel and tightness you feel. So here's a really good example of how you can build both, you feel me? I'm building muscle right here with 2 to 3 sets to failure.
But here's the thing though, let me show you how to properly build that muscle And of course, stay agile. I have a very good example right here. So after I got done lifting, you know, doing squats, right, I did this lateral shuffles, you feel me? This is very good. Well, these are very good plyometrics for you. They help with your coordination, they help with your mobility and overall functionality. As you see right here, a lot of people are not coordinated when they move, you know what I'm saying? They have the muscle, but they're not coordinated at all. They're stiff, they're very tight in their movement. But with this, You can obviously see I'm being agile, smooth with my movement, very intentional with my movement, and I'm moving. Like, I'm literally fluid, you feel me? And that's the goal right there. You want to have muscle, right? Trust me, who doesn't want muscle? You look good with muscle, bro. I look good with muscle, you feel me? Like, come on, let's be real. So you want to have that muscle, right? But you also don't want that muscle to be a liability to you. Like, let's be real, bro. I'm telling you, muscle always looks good on you when you're actually functional and agile. Then I move into things like this. I'm moving to quick lateral hops. Well, actually quick bound hops into little sprints right there. You feel me? This just keeps the body primed up. Your body's literally ready. I mean, you're being coordinated, fluid, and everything in between right here. You feel me? That's why I say when you move weight, always make sure you do this. This is how you make yourself become unstiff. You know, you're less tight when you do things like this, because if you're only lifting weights, Guess what? You're gonna get weight results, which you know just bigger muscle. You feel me? You're gonna tone the body up, bigger muscles and all that. But like I've said many times, all muscle is not the same. Excuse me. All muscle is not good muscle. Literally, because if that was the case, I always bring this example up: the Olympic lifters will be the most athletic guys out there. You see the you see you see what they lift, man. You see the numbers they lift, man. We talking about 200 kgs, 300 kgs. We talking about two three hundred pounds. All that good stuff.
They lift crazy stuff.
But they're not the most functional athletes. They're not the most functional people, you feel me? Yes, are they strong? Of course they're strong. They're very strong, but they're not as functional as you think they are, you feel me? Then I move into something I call this. This is single leg active movement right here, you feel me? This will literally get you right. We're talking about coordination because you also got to move your upper body as well too, the plate up and down, you know, back and forth and all that. This will help with your coordination. All I'm showing you will literally make you less stiff while you can still pack on some crazy muscle. Yes, you can still build muscle by doing this. And guess what? This also adds an element of cardio to it too as well, you feel me? It adds an element of cardio to your, you know, uh, your exercises. Then I'm moving to, you know, lifting some heavy-ass weight. Well, not, not heavy, but we're doing bicep curls right here. Like I said, look, you want to look good, but you also want to be able to move Good, you feel me? So I go on the bicep curls, I'm pretty much doing 2 to 3 sets to failure right here. I do that. I would do about, like I said, if I'm doing 2 sets to failure, I will probably do, you know, a good dirty 25-pound dumbbell. You can do heavy if you're stronger, obviously, but you know, with me, what's really the point of going that heavy when I can just spam it to failure at a good, you know, at a good 25, 35, uh, 30 pounds, which is still good and you're still able to get to get your gains and all that. So after I do this, right, this is me working out. I come to my legs. So I'm gonna tell y'all this right now. I never neglect anything. I train everything. I'm talking about, I am big on identifying any weaknesses and literally crushing it, eliminating it. Right here is good isometrics for your knees right here. As you see, I just go to the leg extensions and I put it up. I'm just holding it for a good 12 to 15 seconds. You can either do 3 to 4 sets of this. With this, you can spam it.
You feel me?
I do this before I work on my legs. This is just mandatory, man. I kid you not. Like, if you want strong knees, strong and able knees, you got to do that. You feel me? Then I go to back. Back is all about strength. So yes, your normal pull-ups are cool. They're good and all, but you got to add the weights, man. You got to add the weight. And when you're adding the weights, you don't got to go no 20 reps or anything. You don't got to do that, man. With this, you just need a good 5 to 7 repetitions. That would suck. That would literally, and I mean literally, build you that muscle. You feel me? You don't got to do nothing crazy now. Then after that, I do dips, weighted dips for the lower chest. If you want to really build your lower chest and you feel like, you know, normal incline dumbbells are not going, that's fine, man. You know, dips are the next best thing. Trust me on that. They really do help. They genuinely build your lower chest for real, for real. After that, like I said, I'm really resting. You want to add— you want to obviously have rest in between between this. Like, these are like— I cut the clips and all that, but, you know, just notice that you want rest in between this. Another good example for upper body explosiveness and just, you know, just functionality will be clap push-ups or explosive push-ups. After you do something like that, you want to make sure you literally do something explosive. Like I always say, you want to move explosively. Yeah, we do abs. Never forget abs. I tell y'all all the time, train abs every day. I kid you not, it different intensities. As you see, I'm training abs at a very, you know, moderate intensity right here. Tomorrow I will train at a very light intensity. I would do no weights, just my body movement right there. That's what I mean by train your abs at different intensities. Trust me on that. You see how I keep the weight down? I superset it by just doing hanging leg raises right there. This will get your abs rock solid. I mean, you see my abs, right? It's crazy right now, bro. You feel me? They put into my shirt. Okay, then, you know, Uh, the legs still. I did mix the clip up, but this is legs right here. I still do legs. With leg extensions, you always— like, here's one thing I'm always telling y'all, legs always about endurance. You're gonna do a lot more for your legs to grow and be a lot more better than your upper body. Your legs need a lot more stimulus, so legs is always gonna be a lot. With legs, when we talk about squats, with squats I do about 4 sets, but with leg extensions, since You're seated down. It's, you know, it's not too heavily taxing on the body. It is advised if you want to build that muscle, you know what I'm saying, it is advised you do at least 5 to 6 reps, you know what I'm saying. You don't have to do that much, but I just say do that much because, you know, it's pretty good. Cardio. You need cardio to obviously shed some fat, you feel me. Well, so you can, you can, you can run only, but it doesn't actually mean you will become lean. You lose, you know, you lose, you know, you burn calories for sure, but you know, if you mix that up with weightlifting like we did right there, man, you're gonna be a demon, you know what I'm saying? Like, you know, in a good way though, in a good way, you feel me? Grocery shopping is obviously very needed. You need this at all costs, trust me on that. If you're eating good, you're obviously gonna build muscle. That is a fact, ladies and gentlemen. So I advise you to eat clean because, you know, you can lift all the weights, but if you're not feeding the body the proper nutrients, yeah, don't even Don't even waste your time, man, you feel me? Don't even waste your time. But this is how you go about it, you feel me?
I simply want y'all to know that if you ever became stiff, it's simply, and I mean simply, because your training is not the best. You get what I'm saying? You're trying to only build muscle. You're only training one aspect of it. You must train the whole aspect, the whole plane of it. Mobility, functionality. I kid you not, this is longevity right here. Without this, when you're 40, 50, 60, 70— some people break down earlier too, which is the crazy part, around 40s and 50s. At that age, when you start to get stiff, it is a telltale sign that your training is simply not the best. You must improve on it. Like I said, when you lift some heavy weight, you just don't only want to sit still. Make sure you get up, move around, do clap push-ups if you're doing upper body. If you're doing lower body, do some lateral shuffles, some little mini sprints. These prime the body up. It gets you moving, adds fluid— fluidity to it. Simple as that. So trust me, ladies and gentlemen, train smart. You know what I'm saying? Muscle's good, but when you're that old, nobody really cares how big you look. I'll be real with you. Stay blessed and y'all stay disciplined. Amen.
They'll be calling your royal name.
