Daniel Buh argues that stiffness and joint pain come from lack of movement variety, not weakness. He demonstrates drills like split squats, pogo hops, and lateral shuffles to train your nervous system to trust your full range of motion. Weight training alone won't fix it; you need diverse, dynamic movement.

It's crazy because people just want to avoid this, but the harsh reality is that the reason why you're stiff as hell and slow as hell with joint pain, you know what I'm saying, ladies and gentlemen, is because you avoid movement. And I mean various type of movements. Now, you don't have to be the most acrobatic guy and all that, but you have to somewhat move if you don't want to feel that joint pain or joint discomfort. I will be demonstrating to you live, literally, uh, no edits, no nothing, you know what I'm saying? Just a bunch of the movements I tend to practice on myself, which is why I never have joint pains and I'm able to be very, very athletic and doing cool stuff like this. I kid you not. I mean, I don't even have to stretch or warm up, bro. I just go right into it. I just go right into it, you feel me? So I will be showing you some of the movements I do. Let's do it again just for good measures, you know what I'm saying? You want to be very agile, quick on your feet. See, this is what— by you training movement variety, You're able to avoid injuries because your joints are resilient. You feel me? You're training yourself in a unilateral pattern with pogo hops, single leg pogo hops. You know what I'm saying? In a lateral pattern, shuffles. You're able to be quick on your feet and of course very less injury prone, ladies and gentlemen. So I will be showing you some of the movements I practice daily to stay very fit, athletic, and of course no pain, a pain free body. Apologies. I'm breathing heavy. I'm just from the gym. So. Number 1, really one of my favorites, is body squats. Just need your body, literally. You just need your body. All right, 3. Body squats. All you need is your body. You feel me? Number 2, we have the split squat variation. Uh, 1 like that. 2, 3, 4. 5, and 6. Number 3, we have pogo hops. You can either do a unilateral version or bilateral version. You see this? And make sure you're landing on your tippy toes, not your flat foot, your tippy toes. You want to train that ankle stiffness as well too. Number 4, You're just going backwards. If you have a sled, it will be better, but you're just going backwards. I plus I O. You know what I'm saying? And number 5, all you're doing is this. You're doing a split squat variation, but you're walking with it. You're killing 2 birds with one stone, your knees and your ankles. I mean, your knees and your hip flexors. You can come backwards through it if you want. That's up to you. Just make sure you have some good unilateral strength with that and coordination as well. Number 6, we have lateral shuffles, quick lateral shuffles. Number 7, we have squat walks. You need some strong-ass knees for this. See what I'm talking about, ladies and gentlemen? This is what you really need. Movement variety keeps you having a pain-free body and, of course, very resilient and strong joints. Take my word on it. My clients are able to have very, and I mean very, very much Bulletproof Joints, because in your program, I make sure they move a lot. You want to lift weights, but lifting weights is not all, you know what I'm saying? You want a very versatile and capable body, a body that can perform lots of athletic feats. And how do you go about performing lots of athletic feats? Well, you have to move. You lift weights, but you train yourself to also move too, as well, so our mechanoreceptors can trust our body when, you know, we step, It's like, okay, that's just that. Okay, we can handle that. We can handle that range, you feel me? When we move, we can handle that range. It doesn't flip out or doesn't, you know, get anxious per se. So yes, ladies and gentlemen, movement variety is key to a lot of these. And before I end the video, I will do a couple tricks I like to do, you know what I'm saying? I keep my body, um, pretty much very active because it helps me do a lot of these athletic feats, man. Like, I move a lot, but I also like to practice my flips. Flips keep you young. They keep you young. Your mechanoreceptors, they trust your body, you know what I'm saying? It's like, okay, it sends signals to your brain. It's like, okay, he does this, he's used to this, so he can handle that range per se, and he can handle that position he's putting himself in. So yes, I will do a couple flips just to end it off, and let's get to it. Artlist.io. Music licensing reimagined. I thank you all.
