A coach walks you through three phases to rebuild strength and confidence after injury or years sitting down. Start with boring joint work, then build strength with progressive lifting, then add explosiveness through sprints and plyometrics. The whole thing takes discipline and time, but it works.

A lot of you miss being that guy or woman per se. You reminisce about the old days. Now, you know, your injuries hold you back, your physique is holding you back too as well, and all these things combined together has plummeted your confidence level. You know what I'm saying? It has plummeted that self-belief you had in yourself. Now it breeds doubt. Well, fret no more. My goal over here as a coach— I am a coach after all— I help men and women get back in shape, literally. When their bodies have been destroyed with their work or just, you know, with injuries. I help them get back in shape and obviously get that confidence level instead of reminiscing on, ah, I used to— no, we don't do that over here. You know what I'm saying? We put in the work and we obviously get what we do— not what we deserve, but what we work for and all that. We get that delayed gratification and we get the fulfillment of obviously building ourselves back up to the highest versions of ourselves, literally. So yes, my goal is over here to help you explain these things. And obviously, hopefully I can get you right. And I'm pretty sure I can get you right because I will be posting my clients', uh, results and obviously posting, you know, what they talk about on the screen as I talk to you on how to get back to your prime self, you know what I'm saying? We don't reminisce on those good old days, we gonna get them good old days back. That's really what it is right there, you feel me? Um, like I said, don't live through others. Let's live it. Let's live our, you know, let's live through ourselves in a sense. So yes, Number one is you would have to obviously bulletproof your body. A lot of you, you know, you face injuries where your job may have caused that, or your former, you know, your former, um, college athlete life may have caused that and all that. And a lot of you, you've never really fixed that problem per se. You've never really, uh, you never really, uh, I don't want to say you've never tried, but in a sense, when you tried and it didn't work, or you didn't know how to go about it, you simply said, uh, It is what it is, man. This is a life that has been dealt to me. I would just live it. Excuse me, which is very dangerous, ladies and gentlemen. That in itself is like giving up on yourself. And we do not give up on ourselves over on this channel. You feel me? The mind is a very powerful thing. Once it's broken down, it's very dangerous to come back up. It's very dangerous to come back from things like that. So what do we do with the bulletproof effect? That is the first phase. You know how I write my programs, pretty much the first phase. Bulletproofing, the bulletproofing phase is simply us fortifying our body. To bulletproof your body is to fortify your body. How do you fortify your body? You start from the ankles down. You start from the legs down. Yes, people don't like to do things like isometric holds. People don't like to do things like pogo hops and all that. But ladies and gentlemen, the boring things are what actually save you. Just remind yourself of that. And typically when I write this in my clients' program, I tell them all the time, the boring things save you life. You don't need— yes, you need other things after that, but the first phase we focus on the boring things because the boring things will save you. They will keep you less injury. They will keep you from having injuries. They will fortify your joints and your connective tissues, which are your tendons, which a lot of people don't train, which is why I always tell you to train isometric holds. Take a bar, put it down, and overcome the isometric hold. This is super, super important. 90% of people, actually 98 or 99% of people, do not train isometrics at the gym or even at home. They forget about it because they don't see their connective tissues. They don't worry about it. They think their tendons are fine and all that. But no, untrained connective tissues lead to more injuries. Yes, a weak and unfortified body leads you to more injuries. This should be common sense. But a lot of people don't train it because it is boring. But guess what? Boring is what actually saves you. Boring is what allows you to actually keep playing against your kids and all that, beating them in sports and all that. Boring is what allows you to keep sprinting in your 30s, your 40s, your 50s. Yeah, it keeps you very functional and obviously increases your longevity. So when you ignore these things, you cook yourself. I get it. You want to build the muscle. You want to build that muscle. That's cool, we're gonna build that, obviously, but you must focus on the foundation first, which would be to bulletproof your body, starting from your legs down, you know what I'm saying? Your feet are the foundation. If you cannot decelerate, if you cannot stop, you're cooked. I try to emphasize this to y'all a lot because a lot of people, they really, really cook themselves intentionally too, which is kind of crazy. So let's not cook ourselves, you know what I'm saying? Let us try to really avoid that. Number 2, after you're done bulletproofing your body, yes, now when I say bulletproof your body, which is number 1, obviously fortifying your foundation, it starts from the legs and goes up, shoulders, all that. Because a lot of y'all, you bench over on your desk sometimes and your knees too, which are super, super important, the joints. A lot of y'all, you sit down a lot. And when you sit down a lot, guess what? Your lower body gets a lot weaker. You know what I'm saying? It takes damage. Your glutes shut off and all that. Your hip flexors get stiff and tight. It makes you overall less functional. And you try to— number 2, we earn that strength. Now, after we build up our body, we earn that strength. Now, how do we earn that strength? We do hypertrophy work. We do it. We lift heavy weights. You know what I'm saying? And we're not just doing mindfully. We're not just doing dumb heavy weights. We structure in a way where you're obviously progressive overloading each week in a sense, at least 1 to 2 pounds. Sometimes you might even go 5 pounds because of how you feel. Some days we feel a lot stronger. I know I feel a lot stronger some days and I'm lifting some crazy weight, you feel me? Which I should not be lifting, but obviously I do not ego lift. We don't do that over here. Ego lifting is cool and all that, but you having to break your back to flex a weight that you typically don't lift, it's pointless. You have somewhere to be on Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays. And of course you don't wanna be injured. When you get injured, you're not gonna like that. Let's be real. Your time is wasted. You have to focus on healing yourself back, and you miss out on a lot of things, a lot of opportunities. So yeah, we're going to try to avoid that as much as possible because what's really the point? You feel me? And yeah, for number 2, which would be the second phase, as I mentioned, we earn the strength. You know what I'm saying? We earn the right to obviously lift heavy per se. We're doing hypertrophy work, we're doing squats, we're doing all these things. We earn the right. After we build up our foundation with number 1, Which will be the buildup of our body. Number 2, we earn the right, we earn the strength, you know what I'm saying? We earn the right to lift heavy. We earn the right to lift heavy in the sense how the body, you know, if you're not getting stronger, what's really the point per se, you know what I'm saying? Obviously you want to get strong by lifting heavy weights and all that, but you wanna do it in a very smart and intelligent way. A lot of people just pick up a dumbbell, pick up a weight, and either try to lift it And they hurt themselves. No, you might build up. Think of it as like the Wi-Fi connection and all that. I'm saying you gotta build up. Progressive overload, literally. If you just start off from your maximum weight, you're not really doing yourself any service, any good service. You're just really ruining your body. You know what I'm saying? What you work for in phase 1, you're just breaking it down and ruining it. You don't wanna be doing that. Please try to avoid that as much as possible. I get you would love to hop into some heavy-ass weight, some macho weight, and you feel real strong and all that. But that's not the way to go about it, you know what I'm saying? There's nothing wrong with starting off slow, starting off little and building up to it, you know what I'm saying? New muscular connectivity, your body adapts to these things, you know what I'm saying? It's like, oh wait, this is something new, instead of you being rushed to do something that could potentially injure you. So yes, ladies and gentlemen, please try to avoid trying to lift heavy and be macho as much as possible. That does not do you any, uh, any physical, any service per se, you feel me? Number three, which would be number three is not the final phase, but this is like I said, this is a little bit of free sauce how I go about these things in a sense. Number three will be to add that all the strength and bulletproofing phase to your athleticism, your explosiveness, and all that. And you're probably wondering when when do I get when do I when do I get to build a good functional physique? Well, you build a good functional physique in number one phase one and phase two. Then number three, you transfer all you've learned. To literally phase 3. You transfer that, you know, that weightlifting, explosive lifts and all that to your athleticism. How does that translate to your athleticism? Well, you're doing things like pogo hops, you're doing things like, you know, uh, plyometrics and all that, you're doing things isometrics and all that, you're doing explosive lifts, you're doing cleans, hand cleans and all that, power cleans and all that. You're doing all these things to transfer into your athleticism. But not only are you doing these things too, you're also doing things like you're sprinting, Literally, you're doing hill sprints. Dude, these are some of the things that keep you very functional in your late 30s, 40s, and 50s. You must sprint. I add sprints to all my clients' workouts. Now you're probably saying, yes, you add sprints to all your clients' workouts, but you know what I'm saying? You're probably thinking, yeah, I can just go sprint and do whatever I want and all that. No, you can't. Sprinting has to be structured in a way that you do not injure yourself or really get hurt. Why is that? Because sprinting is a very aggressive thing. I mean, to be explosive is very intentional. Like, we're talking about you stamping your foot into the ground fast. You're trying to get that power and produce force at a rapid rate, rate of force development. Sprinting is very, very aggressive. Literally, it's a very aggressive thing to do. So yes, if you're sprinting 4 to 5 times a week, you're doing yourself a disservice and your joints will take a lot of the hit. You want to do this at least 2 to 3 times a week. You feel me? Obviously, you want to structure it in a way where you can obviously get your lifts in, Get your sprint workout in and obviously get your steps in as well too, you feel me? Because if you do too much, you, you run the risk of breaking down your body. I'm saying, so phase 3 is super, super important because we have to transfer all we've learned from phase 1 and phase 2 into phase 3 efficiently without obviously breaking our body down. Because some people, they tend to break their bodies down when they try to do this because they're not well adept in structuring these things. That's why PT exists. That's why coaches like You know, and other people exist because we know, we've done the research, you know, we've had clients who obviously, you know, back up our claim and we have the knowledge to obviously, what's it called, write these things and program these things rightfully for people and all that, for them to follow and for them to get the results. Because results are probably the best thing you're looking for right here. Results speak a lot louder. What do you want? You want the results too as well. We want the results too as well. You want to be able to change your body. You want to be able to look in the mirror and be like, Yo, damn, I really did that. That's really me. You know what I'm saying? Some people, I love when I work on my clients and they can't recognize themselves. Let's be real. You know what I'm saying? That is one of the best feelings ever. And I've been able to change at least 340, 344, 345, at least 300+ men's lives, men and women's lives actually. I do have some female clients. I don't post them a lot because obviously they don't want to be posted, but we do talk. We have meetings which I could post in They don't mind that as well. But yeah, ladies and gentlemen, this is how I would structure that way for you to get back to your prime self. So, you know, you're functional, you're agile, and you have some muscle definition on you. You have a frame on you. You have a frame that commands, exudes confidence, you feel me? Without you having to always say, yeah, this is me. No, no, no. Your body will do the talking for you first. Let's be real. And yeah, ladies and gentlemen, I hope that was able to help y'all all. I thank y'all again for watching. Of course, as always, much love, much appreciated. I do have a WhatsApp group chat, which I try to do Q&As every Sunday for anyone who wants to join. Obviously, just comment down join below. And like I said, I will send you an invite. You guys can join. I drop great information in there. And yeah, also anyone who wants to book a call, you know what I'm saying? If you have knee pain, shoulder pain, whatever it may be, and you just want to be overall want to be very fit and healthy, by all means, there's a link below. Book a call, we will talk. Uh, I'm looking forward to it, ladies and gentlemen. Y'all stay blessed and very much disciplined. That is the most important thing. So yeah, have a good one.
