In this motivational monologue, the speaker argues that narcissism, when understood as healthy self‑love and confidence, is not a vice; rather, it is the societal propaganda that demonizes self‑esteem that is harmful. He distinguishes the clinical definition of narcissist (self‑centered, lacking empathy) from the positive form of self‑respect that does not require belittling others. The speaker claims that loving oneself—through mental discipline, physical fitness, and personal achievement—does not harm anyone and actually enables one to better serve others. He critiques how society boxes individuals, labeling them "narcissistic" when they outgrow others' limited perceptions, and frames such labeling as a compliment for breaking free from those boxes. Emphasizing the ancient maxim “know thyself, conquer thyself,” he outlines a two‑pronged self‑improvement path: mental (self‑awareness, emotional control) and physical (fitness, health). He stresses that true confidence leads to kindness, empathy, and the ability to share love, whereas insecurity breeds aggression. The speaker shares personal anecdotes about his sister’s confidence and his grandfather’s advice, using them to illustrate the benefits of self‑love. He urges especially young men (and women) to reject the propaganda, embrace confidence, work on themselves daily, and understand that loving oneself is a prerequisite for loving others.

Narcissism isn't bad. The propaganda is though. And a lot of you have heard that title and you're like, what the hell is this guy talking about? Well, let me elaborate on what I'm talking about. Now, a definition, the standard definition of a narcissist is just someone with, you know, a pattern of literally putting themselves at the center of attention. You know, they think they're the center of the world and they kind of lack profound empathy for others. But no, that is not what I'm talking about. That is a crazy definition of narcissism. I'm talking about the narcissism that, you you actually love yourself, you know, you don't have to put other people down. A confident man or woman don't have to put people down or belittle people to, you know, to express their love for themselves. And in today's society, we see that a lot, that a lot of people, you know, they move around heads down, chin down as well. They think the world's against them. They don't really love themselves. They don't really love what they, what, you know, what they look like in the mirror or whatever it may be. You can relate this to a lot of things, you know what I'm saying? But I take it, I take it a step further in the sense I say narcissism isn't bad for the simple reason that if you excessively love yourself and, you know, you don't think you're the center of the, the center of the world, or, you know, the best thing since sliced bread and all that, there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. If you're not hurting anybody, you just extremely love yourself, which you should, there's nothing wrong with that. Why is there nothing wrong with that? Because again, you're not hurting anybody. And I take it another step further. A lot of people, they They tend to try to love other people more than they love themselves. You know, you see this with the celebrity culture, whatever it may be. And you're probably wondering, yo, what does it have to do with fitness? Well, we're gonna get to that, you feel me? This is a little bit, uh, a little bit somewhat off topic per se. But I say narcissism isn't bad, the propaganda is, because the propaganda has worked on a lot of people. You know, if you love yourself to a certain extent, if you're confident in yourself, especially when you've built something like a good physique, or, you know, uh, you know, you've built wealth, generational wealth for your family, or, you know, you're financially stable, people, you know, they tend to see you as the box they made, the little box they made, the perception they made of you. When you outgrow that, they tend to start calling you things like a narcissistic individual, egotistic individual. But I find that as a— I think that's a compliment, actually. Why do I think that's a compliment? Because you have outgrown people's, you know, false perception of you. That is the thing. A lot of people like to put you in a little box, you know what I'm saying? And they really do not want you to outgrow that. Unfortunately, that is the harsh reality. Yes. Is that, uh, is that— may that be bad? Yes, that is very bad that people put you in a, in a little box that they want you to, you know, really stay there. They see you as that forever in a sense. But when you outgrow that, that is a beautiful thing. They start to call you things like a narcissist and all that, but I think that's a great thing. You know, you should know a confident person, you know, doesn't really care about the words of, you know, of other people who are not trying to better themselves. And if you're trying to better yourself daily and all that, why shouldn't you love yourself? Like, please tell me that. And a lot of people, right, they go about in the world trying to love others more than they love themselves. But ladies and gentlemen, let me ask you something. How can man or woman, how can you love, you know, uh, how can you love someone if you, if you know, if you don't love thyself? You know, as the famous quote goes, know thyself, conquer thyself. You know, to know yourself, you have to really love yourself so you can conquer yourself. You know, conquer yourself could be many ways too. You know, it could be, you know, your bad habits, you know, your desires in the sense, you know, Probably the most famous one a lot of men struggle with will be lust. You know I'm saying? That is a killer right there. And yes, how can you know yourself, right? You know, and how can you really love yourself or love others if you do not, you know, first start with yourself? You know I'm saying? So it all comes. It all falls back down to you at the end of the day. You cannot try to go out here in the world and be shamed, and what's called let shame tactics really get to you because. Every time I get called a narcissist, I do not mind that at all. Because why don't why don't I mind that? Because I'm not out here actively putting other people down to make myself feel better. That is what little men do. That is not a masculine thing to do. That is what you know men who men who lack that confidence in themselves try to do. They try to belittle other people so they can feel good about themselves, great about themselves. But no, we don't do that over here. But I do love myself. Why shouldn't I love myself? No one else is gonna love me like I love myself. Let's be real. You know what I'm saying? And you know, I know a lot of y'all gonna be like. you gonna find a woman? No, no, no, I don't need— I, I— yes, we need women, you feel me? But I don't naturally need, um, a woman to love me more than, uh, what's called love more than I love myself, per se, you know? Yeah, she can love me, you know what I'm saying? But I want to love myself a lot. Because when you love yourself, you trust yourself. When you trust yourself, you know, you, you know, you're more capable of doing things you never thought you could because you're really trusting your abilities and all that. And when you really love yourself, I take it a step further, is that you treat other people kind. You know what I'm saying? Let's be real. When you really love yourself, when you have that love for yourself, you're gonna share that love with others. You know what I'm saying? Why wouldn't you want to share that love with others? When people are bitter, when they're— when they don't really love themselves, they tend to take out their aggression and pent-up anger on others. You know what I'm saying? That's why I always say a very emotional man is a— is, you know, is an extremely— is a danger to society and himself. He's an extremely weak man because he does not— he cannot control his, uh, his— he cannot control his, um, his, uh, desires per se. And, you know, just, you know, his Anger or just his emotions, that makes him extremely dangerous. So— oh, I digress. That is my mom texting me. Um, but yeah, apologies. I will get to that real soon. But yes, I say narcissism is not a bad thing. The propaganda is, because the propaganda has worked on a lot of people in today's society. You tend to say anything like, I love myself, you, you tend to show a little bit of confidence, and people strictly identify that as narcissism. But really, why would you let other people who are imperfect try to dictate, you know, your reality or really your perception of, you know, of how you're living? You're just living. You're living. You're living. You're living for the first time. They are too. So I really do advise people to not fall for that propaganda. Yes, a lot of people have fell for that propaganda, but it is time for you to not fall for that. Now, what is a way When I say narcissism isn't bad, you just fell for the propaganda. What is the best way to go about these things? Well, first of all, you must conquer thyself. Like as I mentioned before, know thyself, conquer thyself. You must really tend to. How do you really tend to conquer yourself? Well, first you have to work on yourself. How do you work on yourself? Well, you start with the mental part and you start with the physical part. Excuse me. These things are super important because you know you cannot go out into the world when you have no idea who you are, what you're capable of. What do I mean? Know thyself, conquer thyself. You must know your. Quote unquote limitations first. You must know your threshold first, your pain threshold and all that, uh, your capacity to be able to take a joke, you know, your capacity to be able to interact with a lot of people and not flare out with anger or just, you know, just, you know, unwanted things per se. So you must really sit with yourself and really work on yourself. By all means, I am no perfect man. I tell that to people all the time, you know. People see me on social media all the time, and I like to show you guys who I really am in a sense because I'm really chill and calm, as they say, you know, as the young folks say, you feel me? I say young folks like I'm somewhat young myself, you know, 26, but it's fine, you feel me? I'm getting to unk status in a sense. But I really— I say this to tell you that I want you guys to really, really love yourself, you feel me? I see it a lot because I get to talk to a lot of, you know, young men and all that. Young men younger than me in a sense. And, you know, they would text me the same thing. You know, they're afraid of being themselves. They have to somewhat put up a performative act in a sense. They can't say, yo, I'm this, you know, I'm pretty good at this, 'cause people see them as egotistical, narcissistic, and all that. But, but if you've worked hard for something, why wouldn't you want to be proud of your accomplishment? Why wouldn't you want to say, wow, I'm really good at this, or I'm the best? I really do love when people are extremely confident in themselves because guess what? I am extremely confident in my abilities too, and just myself in general. So I love to see that same aspect in other people because I'm like, damn, that's a person that trusts himself. He knows himself, you know what I'm saying? He's not, he's not afraid to, to, to, to believe in himself because you believing yourself shouldn't hurt anybody. It really shouldn't. And people who feel that, that, that need or that anger when you, you know, because there are people like that, man. When you really love yourself, they don't like that, man. It, it really digs up an insecurity in them because they don't really love themselves like that, you feel me? And they cannot fathom why You would really love yourself like that in the sense because to them it's a hey why why should I love myself per se? No, no, I'm just a regular person or whatever. Look, that's their small mindset. It is not your job to really switch that for them. But I do encourage you if you're the one who really you look at yourself in the mirror every day and you say I'm I'm gonna be great. I'm great and I'm gonna be great. You feel me? You actually put in the work, brother and sisters. I really do encourage and like people like that because people like that are you know I call them the delusional ones because I too I myself. And I, to myself, am somewhat delusional, but not delusional to the point where I'm hurting other people, stepping on other people. I'm delusional to the point that I trust my abilities, you know, I know what I'm capable of, and I'm— I can— I'm capable of a lot more, you know what I'm saying? I can be a lot more. I can be a lot better. I can be a lot better, you know what I'm saying? Like, good is good, but better is just better, you know what I'm saying? Uh, my, my granddad will say that in the sense— I never understood it, but You know, I kind of get it when you know when you start getting older in a sense. He just he wanted the best out of me in a sense. You feel me? And like I said, I really do appreciate people who can love themselves. Like they are not afraid to say that. You know I'm saying? My sister is one of them actually. My oldest one of my oldest sisters. She's very um she's very extremely confident. You know I'm saying? She's very outspoken for a lady. She does not hold her tongue at all. You know I'm saying? She would tell you if something's wrong. I kid you not. And She, she pretty much built that, uh, built that, uh, that characteristic in me, you know, told me to not be shy, to, you know, be outspoken about who I am because only I would know myself well, you feel me? Gentlemen and ladies, only you would know yourself well. So do not live in that propaganda society is trying to put on you that narcissism is bad. No, it's bad when you try to belittle other people to look, to seem taller or to seem bigger than them. That is not good. It's bad when you lack empathy for others who are, you know, who, who are struggling and And who do not, who do not, uh, know how it is in a sense to, you know, to feel good about themselves. It is bad in that sense, but it is never bad to see yourself as good, to see yourself as better in the sense, better in the sense how you can always get better each day when you work on yourself. So yes, narcissism is not bad. The propaganda is. And I really pray and hope a lot of you do not fall for that propaganda. Love yourself. No one else will love you like you love yourself. Trust me on that. And when you love yourself, you can transfer that love to other people, you know what I'm saying? So yeah, y'all stay blessed and very much disciplined.
