A creator on OMAD (one meal a day) shares his approach: dense proteins like lamb and steak, 165-170 lb of muscle, 10-20k steps in summer. He eats jollof rice and cassava leaf a few times weekly, skips alcohol because it raises estrogen, and says health is 90% diet, 10% exercise.

What's good, everybody? Today I'm gonna talk about my diet. A lot of people typically ask me about my diet, and you know, it's, uh, it's very controversial to some people, but really it's been going on since the dawn of time. Man had to— man had to hunt for his food, literally, you feel me? Oh, I mean, just really, just like all the way back in time, you feel me? People had to hunt for food, so you know, people really were fasting, literally, you feel me? So yeah, I fast for about 16 to 20+ hours depending on what it is. I like doing that. As you can see, it keeps me somewhat lean. I'm a little fat now. Like, I mean, well, to my standards, like this is kind of fat because there's no— in the wintertime, I don't move around a little. I don't move around too much. I typically, you know, I'm a lot shredded in the summertime. For those who know, yeah, I look insane in the summertime. But yeah, that's because I'm able to get my 10K. Plus I actually get like 20K steps in the summertime. You feel me? I walk around a lot, you know, so I stay active a lot. And in the In the wintertime, I'm typically, you know, seated, you know, a lot too. I will talk about that actually, because a lot of my clients, a lot of people, you know, just older guys, they literally have knee pains and all that and just overall pain. But yeah, I digress. My diet. So I typically fast for 16 to 20+ hours depending on, you know, what day it is. And I practice OMAD, OMAD or 2MAD. So depending on, uh, depending on how much I worked out that day or, you know, how rigorous the work was in a sense, like how much I exhausted my body, I will eat like 2. But it's so hard for me to eat 2 meals in a sense how I'm not a— I don't get hungry as much, you feel me? And I know a lot of people think, yo, but how do you— they typically ask, how do you maintain your weight and all that? Well, I eat dense proteins. Literally, I'm talking about lamb, I'm talking about steak. I eat dense proteins. And by me doing that, right, I look— I'm 165, but if you saw me in person, I look 185. A lot. And it's funny because I always ask people this because I want to get their, you know, Their perspective and, you know, why, what they think of me, you know what I'm talking about? So I typically ask, I'm like, what do you think I weigh? They'd be like, hmm, 185, 180. And no, I'm 165. I fluctuate from 165 to 170 because I fast a lot. So yeah, you will notice that when you fast a lot and, you know, you eat like one big meal or two big meals, your weight will fluctuate a lot, but you're always going to be lean. Yes, that is a fact. You're always going to be lean depending on how you train, of course, and depending on what you're eating. If you're eating clean, you will always be lean. I can promise you that. I don't cheat on my diet. I've never cheated on my diet. Well, I wouldn't say I've never cheated on my diet because when I was a kid, obviously I would drink sodas and all that. But I don't cheat on my diet. I haven't cheated on my diet in like 4, 3 years now. If I have a cheat meal, my cheat meal is still protein. Literally, it's like steak when I go out with the homies. You feel me? So my cheat meal is still very, very healthy. I never do no burgers, no Big Macs. I don't eat fast food or junk food. You feel me? So your diet is just super important. It's like 90% of everything. So with mine, and a lot of people, like I said, they always ask me, how do you stay lean all year round? In a sense, like I said, even in the wintertime, I'm still lean. I'm just not as lean as I would like to be, like I am in the summertime. Like, I'm talking about veins on my shoulders, you know, veins on my abs and all that. Now it's, you know, it's just there. Nothing crazy really. My abs show 24/7. You know, that's how lean I get and that's how lean I am. But yeah, as I was talking about my diet, diet is just super important, man. You feel me? Like, OMAD, not only is it good for you in the sense how like the mental fortitude, but it also cleanses your body, especially when you pair that up with fasting. You feel me? It takes time, you know, cleanse your body. I'm never bloated. I'm literally never bloated simply because of OMAD. You feel me? And also because I fast a lot too. So my body has time to clear itself out, literally. So which is really, really good. You know what I'm talking about? Yeah. And yeah, man, that's you know that's like part of the diet right there for sure. Omad itself is really a lifesaver, like I always said. Now you're not forced to do it, and and really when I post it right, a lot of people think I'm telling you you have to do omad. It's the way to go. No, I've never said that. I've just said omad is pretty good. You know I'm talking about like you know if you would love to do it, go ahead and do it. You feel me? I never force you to do anything you don't want to do. That's weird. You feel me? I I believe in free will. Like literally people people can do what works for them and what they like to do. Now, if you don't like to eat one meal a day, that's fine. You can always eat two. Just you know, you can always eat three. You can you can eat four. You can eat however many you like because that's your body. You know I'm talking about? But I just come here and give you know healthy advice that you can abide by and follow in a sense. So yeah, that's why that's why I say you know OMAD is just you know it's really a lifesaver and it saved me. It saved me for sure, man. When I was when I was a lot younger, obviously you know I would eat a lot. The only reason that did not affect me as much is because I was super super active. kid, you don't have a job, you just do whatever you want to do. So I was like, I was able to burn all those calories, you feel me? And, you know, predominantly I ate, you know, healthy African foods, you feel me? So which was very good. And also a lot of people typically ask me, how do I, you know, never get fat eating all these African foods that have oils and all that? But a lot of y'all, you fail to understand that African food is extremely healthy. Literally, we're talking about leaves, we're talking about protein, we're talking about good carbs. They're extremely healthy. But here's the thing though, I eat it in moderation. I don't go out here and just be spamming. Like, I don't— that's stupid. That's how you get like— even with the best genetics, you're going to get fat. Like, you know what I'm talking about? You're going to get fat. You know what I'm saying? You can have the best genetics in the world, but eventually your diet catches up to you. I tell this to people all the time. If I went outside, I'm aware I have good genetics. I am literally aware of that. Please. People never feel that they tell me that, but they also fail to understand that I put in work. You know what I'm talking about? Like, I'm like, bro, some of my work, like, and I don't show y'all everything, obviously, my workouts and all that, because, you know, you know, it's a business, you feel me? And, you know, if I did, that's just too much free sauce in a sense, you feel me? I'm not even doing myself a good service. That's not even me being kind or polite. It's just me being stupid. But yeah, but I digress though. It's like, With the things I eat, I still make sure I eat in moderation, especially African food. My mom cooks lovely African food—jollof rice, you know, cassava leaf, all the good stuff. I eat that. I literally eat that. But I'm eating that once a day, and you know, like three three to two to three times a week. So I'm still going to be good. You know what I'm talking about? And especially the fact that I work out every day except for Saturdays and Sundays. Some days that keeps me in prime peak shape, like like a condition in a sense. You feel me? It's in moderation. I don't go out here. Just spamming African food. And I love African food, you feel me? I grew up on African food. But you also have to notice, like, all those oils too, you know what I'm saying? It will affect you if you just, you know, eat it every day without, you know, no moderation or control or just simple balance, you feel me? But yeah, but predominantly African food is healthy, just letting y'all know. Any— too much of anything is poison, you know? That is, that is common sense. I shouldn't have to tell, you know, anyone this, you know? People should really know this. Too much of anything is poison. That's why, you know, you need Discipline, you need balance, and you need, you know, you need a, you need a, you need a healthy, uh, healthy mix of things, you feel me? But one thing I generally don't and never do is drink or smoke, you feel me? Like I said, diet is 90% of everything. Now, yes, there are people who do this and they have a good physique and all that. I'm more, I'm more on the, on the, uh, I'm more to the side of, uh, you know, health as well, you feel me? I'm, I want to live for a very, very long time, like. I'm talking about I want to be sprinting 150, 160, and all that, you feel me? And I will be able to do that because of the way I'm training right now and what I'm putting in my body, what I'm putting in my vessel. I say, you know, your body is your temple. So if you're going around just eating junk and all that, you're literally just cooking yourself. I don't know why you would want to do that to yourself, but I always advise y'all stay away from those devices, you feel me? Alcohol, literally a poison, you know what I'm talking about, definitely spikes your estrogen levels, you know, making it, making it hard for you to recover after working out, which makes it hard for you to build muscle. And you need your testosterone higher than your estrogen and your cortisol levels, you feel me? You need your testosterone higher than both of those things. So if you're drinking alcohol, it's going to just obviously spike your estrogen levels up, which will make it a lot harder for you to build any damn muscle. And a lot harder for you to recover. So yeah, man, I tell you all the time, health is truly wealth. Your body is your temple, so you do not want to put rubbish in your temple. And I don't say this to say, say, say or sound like I'm better than people who drink and smoke. No, I'm not. That's weird. I just, I just always, you know, I just believe, you know, and I know for a fact it's not healthy for you. You know, it literally, you know, It literally says that, you feel me? Uh, but yeah, but I know people, people want to have fun, people want to enjoy themselves. That's fine, you feel me? Just, you know, don't— just make sure, you know, you're not enjoying your life or enjoying yourself at the cost of your health, you feel me? Uh, especially if you want to live a long and healthy life with your family, your kids, your grandkids, your loved ones, all that. So, and that's what I want to do. So that's why I always advocate for y'all to never drink Oh smoke, I'm talking about it's just a better and healthier lifestyle to live in a sense, and it keeps you disciplined too. You know, you don't want to be a slave to your desires or, you know, um, um, oh, what's it called, just external things, you feel me? So yeah, man, and you know, I know a lot of people say, but, but man, um, oh, I, I, I want to be lit, I want to have fun. You can have lots of fun while you're sober. Ladies and gentlemen, trust me on that, you feel me? I have lots of fun, me, with just me being sober. Good friends, good company, you know, good food, healthy food as well. And yeah, man, just an outdoor experience and, you know, really just, you know, just sightseeing things, you know what I'm saying? But yeah, like I said, health as well. The diet is literally 90% of everything. And, you know, the 10% are the weights. You're gonna lift weights. I know you're gonna lift weights and run, you feel me? I believe you're going to lift weights and run because how, how else would you build a body? How else would you know? You have to like beat the body up. As Seneca said, we treat the body rigorously so it may not be disobedient to the mind. So yeah, you have to put yourself through, you know, the wringer and all that. You know, your diet will challenge you for sure, but you must stick through it because when you stick through it, beautiful results will be shown. And yeah, man, I don't want to hold y'all up too much. I just want to make a quick video on that. And yeah, I will be dropping another video too as well on just bulletproofing the body. And yeah, y'all stay blessed. And disciplined. I'm out.
