From Hustle to Heal: How To Fix Your Health Issues (Without Giving Up!)

In this personal vlog, Nikhil Sai, founder and CEO of Funneling Media, shares his health struggle as a young entrepreneur and explains why health is critical for business performance. He recounts chronic headaches, sciatica‑like leg pain, and an MRI that revealed minor disc bulges caused by prolonged screen time, poor posture, dehydration, heavy lifting, and insufficient rest. After years of relying on painkillers, he adopts a "reverse lifestyle" approach: improving posture with a neck and body belt, raising laptop height, using a standing desk, drinking 3‑4 L of water daily, prioritising 8 hours of sleep, switching from heavy weightlifting to cardio, and incorporating regular stretching. He frames his health management around four quadrants—workout, mental/emotional state, diet, and rest—emphasising that each influences the others. To make change concrete, he proposes a three‑week tracking regimen where viewers log diet, sleep, physical activity, and psychological state using smart‑watch data, then design an ideal routine based on the insights. Throughout, he stresses the mindset shift from treating symptoms to fixing root causes, the importance of personal responsibility, and the compounding benefits of consistent small improvements for entrepreneurs.

Hey guys, in this video I will talk about my health journey and what I'm actually struggling with as entrepreneur for myself, what you might be taking as key takeaways for your own health and practice it to be a better person and live your best life and do it anyways. So let's get straight into it. Why health is so important for entrepreneurs and how would it directly impact your business and income and the growth you would like. Hi guys, my name is Nikhil Sai, founder and CEO at Funneling Media. 19-year-old dropout turned millionaire in 2 years running my own marketing agency while I help my clients do over $500 million in verified results. Now let's talk about this. When I started, I was a 19-year-old broke dropout, so I had almost nothing to lose. Like I was, I could eat shit and work like crazy and never, never a problem. As I get older, I mean, I'm not old, I'm 22, I'm freaking 22. But as I could grow, you know, a little bit older and I could understand the changes in my body and You know, money is not only the most important thing. There are other things which are also coming along with the money. Like I heard this novel, Ravi Kant say this. It's very like, it hit me hard when I heard this. He said, a good man wants everything, a sick man wants one thing, which is better health. So, you know, you got to prioritize it the right way and make sure you don't get— and I've heard another sentence very recently from a friend of mine, and that kind of changed the perspective I had with all of my health issues because I did have health issues. Like, I have this thing, you know, where I have a severe headache in my head, and I could, you know, my hands, you know, pain if I work long hours. And I have a sciatica type of pain for my legs and whatnot, for one side. Then it kind of shifts to a different side, and whenever I work for 6 to 8 hours, I get stressed a little bit, it just goes crazy. I used to be in this mindset of hustle, hustle, hustle. Like, you are a human being, you should be suffering, you have this pain, you gotta keep it and you gotta push through. I mean, that's good, all of the hustle mindset. I mean, when you're working and the result of working is pain, that's a different thing, like when you exercise and stuff. But when you have like a health issue, like a real root cause, and you know it's creating some consequences, you gotta pay attention to it, right? Otherwise it's gonna get bigger. Now, I was never paying attention to this to an extent where I would actually want to solve it. I've tried physicians the pain was super high. Or I tried different doctors and this and that, all of this type of medicine, and it didn't quite work. And you know, they used to give me painkillers, it used to give me temporary sensation of relaxation, then I get back to work, it comes again. And I was frustrated in the cycle. Then I decided like, okay, fuck this, I'm just gonna go all over it and, you know, work anyways. Now the problem was every day, 2 to 3 hours, I would just be like helpless. I used to not enjoy my existence because of this pain. So I mean, as an entrepreneur, you will have some sort of pain most of the time, but you ignore it so much. So if you have some sort of pain which is not because you're working so much, it has a different root cause to it, find it and cure it. In my case, once I recently got my MRI done, I actually have disc bulges. Again, this is not a crazy problem to have. Most of the people who actually work on laptops, sit and work, you know, who actually bend their neck while they're working, who sit in this, you know, C-cup shape when they're actually working, like this, right? Like I work on my laptop like this, like most of the times, you will have disc bulges. Like when I'm like this, my neck is bent to a position where it was not supposed to be. My back is also bent, even including my lower back. So in these 3 areas where, you know, the basic 3 areas of my backbone, I have minor disc bulges. These are not crazy. This is not anything like dangerous for now, but it can get super dangerous if I ignore it and if I continue to be what I am. And I have this pain from a very, very long time, like even before I start my business and whatnot, because I have a very strong, I would say, high screen time from a very long time. Once I was ignoring this pain, then I met with one of my friend and he was talking to me about reverse diseases, you know, like if you have a disease, how can you reverse it? And, you know, why would a disease kind of hit you in the first place? You know, you need to understand like some lifestyle change caused you that and reverse lifestyle change can actually get, get you back into the normal situation. And that was like an aha moment for me. And then he told one line which was very interesting to me. He said, if you're not born with a disease, you're not supposed to live with one. And I was like, whoa, okay, like that is definitely powerful. Like, yeah, I was not born with this, but I'm having it. I need to reverse it. So how am I planning to reverse it? Basically, this, because this happened because of a bunch of reasons. One, less water, my body is more acidic. And I'm lifting heavy weights, you know, that means putting pressure on my back, my body posture, and not resting enough. Like, these are like few reasons why I'm actually getting this issue. The biggest thing is my postures, and that's what I'm like. Even, even right now I'm actually wearing a body belt, and when I actually am not shooting videos, I'll use this neck band for now. And also I'm flexing my, you know, legs and muscles and stretching so much so that I could actually to relax my disc and get it back to its regular position. And I'm now trying to work. I increased my laptop height. I have a standing desk which I'm using more often now. And all of this reverse lifestyle changes, I'm drinking more water more frequently now, taking well rest. I'm just reversing my lifestyle and I'm trying to fix my thing. And my reason for putting this video out is just to be vulnerable and talk about my personal experience. I've ignored that and I can already see changes. Like I'm not as bothered, as confused. And as clueless I used to be when I don't know the root cause. I've cured the pain so many times, like I fixed the pain, like get a painkiller, have a paracetamol, whatnot, get instant relaxation, sleep for a few hours, you get dizzy, you can't work after you take medicine, and then your whole day is ruined kind of situation. And you just repeat it for a long time. I was frustrated. But once I know the root cause, I'm able to create actionable steps to fix it. So if you or any of your loved ones actually have any simple problem. Find the root cause. Don't cure the pain, cure the cause. Because if the root cause gets fixed, the pain will be gone forever. If you fix the pain for now, it repeats because the cause always exists. In the past 3 years, when I'm actually taking medicine for whatever pain I was actually having, I was getting high for a moment. Like, I couldn't work so much, I get dizzy and all of that stuff because I need to take rest. Then just repeat so much. But right now, and the disc bulge still exists, like I didn't know that. But once I know the MRI, I saw alleged proof that, okay, now I could see what is problem and I can research myself, talk to physicians, and, you know, go to chiropractors and, uh, you know, get myself fixed on all this stuff. I could methodologically see a way for me to get out of the situation. And it's not an immediate fix. Fixing a cause won't happen like fixing the pain, like the painkiller and you're done. No, this takes time, 3 to 6 months realistically, you know, for a small thing. For a big thing, it could take much bigger. Like, you know, I've seen people who reverse their diabetes, their cancers, their, uh, you know, ulcers, whatnot. Like, every disease you actually acquired intentionally or without intention could be reversed using your lifestyle changes. That's what I've actually learned very recently. I mean, there is few exceptions where you can't reverse few diseases. Like, I hope you don't have any of those right now because you can't control it. But when you have something which is going on which you can control, I would say level up, own your stuff, and take responsibility and make one step at a time to actually, you know, reverse your lifestyle and get your stuff away. Like, I aim to drink at least 3 to 4 liters of water a day. I aim to sleep at least 8 hours a day. I aim to not lift heavy weights right now because I'm only doing cardio as of now. My doctor recommended not to do huge back exercises while I'm fixing my disc. But I could get fixed it in, you know, a month or two if I do it right, wearing a body belt to maintain my posture. So I'm not any C-shaped guy anymore. And everybody will have it, most of the people who are working it, but it differs, like who gets impacted, who gets not. Like, for example, you know, a million people will drink crazily, but only few people get cancer because of it. Like, you know, there is a percentage where it reacts differently with the same input. So in my case, if I work long hours, I get this pain. Some people doesn't have this, like, you know, most of my employees work with me and maybe not as high screen time as me, but they are also not in the best, you know, position while they're working. And I've seen everybody who actually work from home or work on their laptops and whatnot. Most of the times your postures are not meant to be the way they are, but I am getting affected, so I need to get it fixed. So coming back, working on my posture, taking my meds on time, you know, wearing a neck belt, body belt, drinking more water, sleeping well, or, you know, doing more cardio, simple stretching, pecs exercises to, you know, get my disc relaxed. Like right now what's happening is, you know, I'll show you like image right now on the, on the video. You could actually imagine this. Like what's happening is because I'm pressing this side, you could see, right, like the V is like it's bulging back and it's touching my nerves in the disc. You know, between the bones there is like a disc and it's little, you know, it's kind of in a jelly form. When you press it from one side, it bulges on the other side and it's touching my nerves. And that's what's causing me all this pain. And if I actually put enough pressure and get it back normally, you know, and the disc bulge would come back because I'm still in the early stage, it's not extreme yet, so I could fix it. And if it comes to the center, it doesn't touch the nerve, the problem is gone. So I know the root cause, I'm working towards fixing it. So why am I making this video? It's just to vulnerably share what I'm going through to do. At the same time, inspire you to take that extra caution, to know that, okay, if I'm working and my eyes strain, what is the reason? Maybe you should use, you know, blue protection glasses. I don't know. If you are working, your back hurts, maybe you should get an MRI to know what's the root cause for it. Maybe you have a migraine, like whatever it is, know the root cause and you can fix it. There is a million ways to fix if you know the problem, but finding that problem will give you so much like this. Like, I was clueless on what's going on until I got an MRI and saw that, oh, okay, this is what is happening. And I got into the mindset only after I heard that quote, which actually mentioned, as mentioned, if you're not born with the disease, you're not supposed to live with one. And that's when I was like, okay, I'm not born with this, I'm not supposed to live with this, how can I get it fixed? And I think as an entrepreneur, having this type of pain will actually kill so much of your time and productivity. Like, even if I'm active, Like when I was running two businesses, when I'm going 18-hour days and whatnot, I can't tell you, I have this pain. I need to get all of this stuff done. I need to be on hiring calls, tech calls, team calls, project calls, execution calls, operation calls, my client sales fulfillment. Oh my God, I mean, I just didn't enjoy my existence because of this pain and all the work I need to do. It just crumbled around and I was like not, you know, kind of liking it. So I don't want you to experience that. I've gone through severe pain, you know, a very bad experience, and I hope you guys don't go through this. If you have any sort of pain, even it could be a minor one, always find the root cause, fix it. Easy. You can simply change your lifestyle, you can reverse your lifestyle and get back to your best health. So remember, you're not born with a disease, you're not supposed to live with one. You have two lives. The second one starts once you realize and only have fun. I'm stealing this from Naval once again. Amazing entrepreneurs actually teach us how to live better and live up to our full potential and do it anyways. Do I like wearing a belt when it's sweating? I don't know. When I'm working, do I like this neck belt on me? I don't really like it, but I'm going to do it anyways. Do I enjoy drinking 4 liters of water? Probably not, but I'm drinking it anyways. Do I like going to the gym and only doing cardio? I I hate it. Like, I mean, I just don't like it. I don't vibe with it, but I'm doing it anyway. So that's what it is. I am supposed to do what I need to do. I'm not supposed to do what I feel like to do. And that's what my challenge is for now. Again, I'm not saying perfect. I don't do it all. I take all the blame for my own result and actions. I only acquired this by being my own self. So I take the blame and I take the responsibility to fix it as well. I'm not perfect. Neither you. Nobody is. And that It's fine, you know, make that extra step, be, be better every day. And that's what compounds overall. I believe in compounding effect. So most entrepreneurs will have some pain, they never talk about it. So share this with as many friends as possible, as many people you actually know. I believe this is a powerful message. It needs to reach more people and has a genuine cost to it. Like if you have some sort of pain, it could be anything, find the root cause and you're not supposed to have that, get it fixed. Fix it. Reverse lifestyle is the best way, not the English medicine always. But if it's what the way you want to go, that's fine as well. But simple reverse lifestyle changes on a long enough time horizon can fix it because you acquired the disease because of the same reason. You had enough bad lifestyle for a long time and you acquired the disease. You could do the inverse and, you know, get it fixed as well. So here's how I dissect my health. It's workout, which is How much I'm working physically, then my mental— what am I thinking about and what I'm going through at an emotional standpoint, psychological standpoint. Then diet— what am I eating and what I'm actually putting as a fuel into my body. And then rest, you know, if I'm sleeping enough to actually keep myself. So these are like the 4 quadrants. As for my knowledge, I know I can control basically. So physical— how much work I'm doing, in what positions. For example, if I'm standing and working, I'm sitting and taking calls, if I'm actually doing workout or not, if I'm doing cardio or not, that's one thing. Second thing is what am I thinking about always? Am I being depressed psychologically? Am I feeling good about my relationships and whatnot? All of that stuff. Am I being happy? All like sad, all of that emotions, psychological part of it. And I can control, trust me, you can control it. I'm not depressed, that's not even a thing. You, you just choose to feel depressed, that's, you know, your decision. You could reverse it and say say fuck it and you're gonna be fine. So I mean, I'm being transparent. Then the third thing, as I mentioned, is diet. And this is one of the most important things. Like, I have worked out very crazy. Like, in the past 6 months, I've gone to gym almost, you know, every other day. But I didn't see a lot of output from it because I was actually eating a lot of junk by saying I'm eating calories. But that's not the good thing, actually. I ate a lot of junk and it was tough for me, you know, in washroom while I was actually trying to take a poop. But I realized once I started eating in home and eating a little bit cleaner and whatnot, I didn't even realize I pooped in just a few minutes. And this thing again, I heard from somebody— I'm talking about complete raw stuff just to be super transparent and help you guys with what's going on in my life so you could relate overall. Like, if you're taking more than 5 minutes to poop, you have a problem. Like, your diet is shit, or maybe your intestines are not working well. You gotta get it fixed. And eating clean can really help you to fix most of your problems. Like if you drink clean water and you eat clean food, like you will think more properly, you will have more mental space, and you will be having enough energy to go to the gym because you have so much energy you don't know where to use it. And that's where the physical workouts come in place. If you do the opposite, if you eat bad shit, your mind gets dizzy psychologically. You can't sleep well because you feel heavy when you're on bed. Your eyes are like jumping, or you drink 3 coffees before you sleep and the caffeine is high and you can't sleep. All of this shit, like your diet, the what you put in the body like as an input delivers all the output for 3. So, you know, I fucked up on this multiple, multiple times and I still struggle to keep up on this. And I'm mentioning this transparently. I hope you guys can work on this on yourself as well. So eat clean, drink only water, nothing else. Sugar is not good for health. Like, every time I consume so much sugar, like a heavy rice meal or a lot of sugar in any form, I just— I cannot work. Like, I've observed this over and over, you know. I just feel so comfortable, I just feel like sleeping and whatnot. That is not okay. And I don't want to work physically, my emotions are fucked up, I cannot rest, I cannot sleep. So like, one quadrant, like in the four, you know, brackets of sleep, diet, physical workout, psychological— if you fuck up on anything, it would impact everywhere, basically. But I think if you can fix one easily, the most efficiently, it's the food you eat. And that's the easiest, because if you fix that, like 80% of the work is done on your sleep. You can sleep well, you can, you can have enough energy to work on your own business and work on your physique. And then you'll have emotionally better stable part, because now you are eating clean and it makes you feel good. And trust me, when you have good body, when you eat clean, when you feel energetic, the vibe is completely different. You won't feel miserable, you will feel you are worth so much, you will you will, you can absolutely crush anything. And that gives you more ability to do anything you can imagine, or even if you can't imagine, you will imagine that from now. So I think this will definitely unlock a new dimension in you, and I hope this message serves you. I hope you take this to your heart and actually start implementing this. So after this, what I really want to do is I want you to leave with an action plan instead of just information, because I don't want this to be another motivational video you're watching. I want you to sit down And last 3 weeks, what have you been eating? Number 1, your diet. Clear diet, like exactly, like 1 cupcake, add it. Don't be scared about it, just add it very clearly. 3 weeks of your diet, 3 weeks of your, you know, sleep routine. Exactly track your time, use a smartwatch, just do that easy. Your phone says that, like now everyone has their information already. Physical workout, how much you are actually working out, you know, your calories and work time How much you are lifting and whatnot. Then how you're feeling psychologically every day, you know, are you being very dramatic, psychological thoughts, what are you thinking about frequently and whatnot. Now do a time analysis, like have a very clear analysis on, you know, what's happening and then create an ideal routine for yourself. Like you know what's happening, then you know what you should be doing because once you see the input, you can create the output. Like now you could change, okay, here is my new diet, here is how much I will sleep, here is how much I will work, here is what I will think about. Once you fix it and try to practice it every single day, and please do this exercise. And that's how I'm trying to fix my own routine and all the other things. I still struggle with everything I'm talking about, but I just want to share this so that you can struggle less from this and you will not go to the pain I've gone through, and you can avoid overall what I'm going through and hopefully get that extra advantage. So thank you so much for watching. Please do that exercise. Comment down below your opinion. Thanks for watching. Bye.
