In this instructional video, Nikhil Sai explains that the most common error copywriters commit is neglecting proper messaging alignment between their copy and the ultimate goal of the sales funnel, blog post, or video. He emphasizes that every sentence should serve a purpose—capturing attention, building a story, and leading to a clear call‑to‑action—following the classic hook‑story‑offer structure. Sai advises writers to ensure the copy’s message resonates with the funnel’s objective, keep language simple enough for a non‑technical person to understand, and test the copy by having a layperson read it. By correcting messaging, aligning copy with funnel goals, and using the hook‑story‑offer framework, copywriters can dramatically improve conversions and sales.

The number one mistake copywriters make while they're writing copy for maybe a sales page or a persuasive post or a blog post. Hey guys, this is Nikhil Sai. Welcome to another video regarding the copy part. What is the mistake, number one mistake, which copywriters are usually making while they do the copy part? Let's get right into it. So it's nothing but the messaging part. This is very, very important, but like pretty basic because like messaging is the number one reason why they write the copy part. But sometimes there will be miscommunications and they don't do the messaging part right, right? So they use like weighted words, very punctual words and good grammar. They write big words which persuades people, but the problem is the end goal won't be clear. Every sentence should give them a call to action. Every sentence should build up a bridge. Every sentence should build a story, like it comes down to the hook, story, offer thing, right? So you should grab their attention, then tell them a story, and then give them a call to action, right? Hook, story, offer. This thing is really clear, but the number one thing people miss while they're doing copy part is the messaging. Like, the overall end goal of the funnel, of maybe the blog, or maybe whatever stuff they are doing, is something different. And the, the person, the copywriter, writes the copy which doesn't resonate with the end goal of the funnel, or end goal of the blog post, or end goal of your video, right? That's the number one mistake people make. So whenever you're creating content or creating a funnel or like creating a post, whatever the stuff you're trying to do, make sure that the end goal of the stuff which is trying to do and the end goal of the copy should resonate with each other and should completely make sense, right? So if you articulate the complete persuasion by having the right messaging in place, it's much easy for you and it's much easy for the person who is opposite to the screen who is reading your ad and and it's much easier for you to get more conversion and increase your sales dramatically. So check once if your messaging part is going right or not. Check your ad copy, check your blog post, check your funnel copy especially. So then you can decide, just go through that, like show a customer or maybe show a prospect if he's having any questions regarding that copy. Like I personally like to keep it simple when it comes to the copy part. So I'll have like maybe a small kid who is not very technical. If he understands what's the meaning of the complete copy, then it works. It's as simple as that. So I hope this is making sense, guys. This is Nikhil Sai. I hope you got some value regarding the copy part in this video. Looking forward, let me know if you have any more questions, like comment below. I would love to help you guys. Thanks, peace.
