Stop waiting for motivation, it’s not coming.| Nikhil Sai |#motivation #discipline #entrepreneurship

Nikhil Sai argues discipline beats motivation for building a business. He shares four habits that work: drink 4-5 liters of water daily, exercise 4-5 times a week, sit quietly with eyes closed for mindfulness, and spend 20 minutes daily learning about your specific business problems. Add one habit per week until all four stick.

This happened so many times to me as an entrepreneur. I felt stuck, depressed, helpless, and I saw no way out. And I don't know why nobody talks about this, but as entrepreneurs, we kind of struggle with momentum. So many times we fall off from the actual momentum we live in and we don't find a way out to come back into the momentum. And I've learned this the hard way, but I'm helping you shortcut your way to not fall off into momentum. And what I actually do right now, if I'm ever seeing myself falling off momentum, which can actually help you so that you could actually keep yourself on the track to grow your business. Hey guys, this is Mehedi Nikhil Sai. I started as a 19-year-old broke dropout. I built a million-dollar marketing agency in 2 years while helping my clients do over half a billion dollars in results. And I'm the world's youngest $100 million award winner. And I'm sharing with you how I actually save myself if I'm talking to my younger self on how I could get started, gain momentum, and actually focus on my business and health primarily in a much better manner. Let's be real, we all have done this, right? The hustle, bustle, always jostle kind of business. When I was getting started, I started working 12, 16, 18 hours a day and never feel tired at all. And the problem is we are always in the fight or flight mode. And you know, most of us start with, you know, some trauma in our childhood or, you know, some lack of money very badly. And we have that primary motivation to get out of that absolute bad situation. And once you actually get out of that, that money will not motivate you anymore, and you want to find yourself a different motivation or else you'll fall off. And this is the first thing nobody ever told me, and I felt constantly anxious about why am I not making more money when I clearly know how to make money? Because I was able to close $15,000-$20,000 deals back in 2020. I wasn't just interested to do that more and more because I didn't find the right motivation, because I got out of the, you know, poverty I was living in into a comfortable situation. Motivation can only get you from 0 to 1, but not 1 to 10. So you really need a different source of energy which can keep you consistent. And yes, I'm talking about discipline. So we will talk about discipline, and I'm not going to make this a boring lecture, so stick with me here. I'm only going to share you what I have done for myself to actually be consistent with discipline. So instead of relying on things which gets you excited and pumped and then you just lose the motivation completely, try to build habits which can actually create a pattern in your life which keeps you in momentum. And this is a simple exercise. I actually learned this from Alex Sharfen. He's a personal mentor of mine who has helping me to be in momentum overall. And he's an amazing entrepreneur. He has helped Alex Hormozi and many other amazing entrepreneurs in the ClickFunnels space and outside of ClickFunnels space to actually calm the nervous system and get more focused and always stay in momentum. And I love watching his stuff and he's a personal mentor of mine and it's amazing to actually learn from him. But coming back to the context, you could do a few things to actually be calm and more restful and have yourself the right amount of energy to focus on business to get outside of returns. And no, I'm talking about having a 3-hour morning routine. That's not the stuff I'm talking about. I'm talking about simple steps which could actually make the huge difference. And there are a few things which I've done, which I'm sharing with you, which has helped me a lot personally, because I don't believe in this woo-woo stuff. I don't believe in meditation. I don't believe in manifestation. I don't believe in God. I don't believe in, you know, hoping for things to happen. I'm more of an action taker, massive mover. And most of us entrepreneurs are similar way. So I'm going to help you without getting into the woo-woo, how I actually got out of the situation where I felt anxious, depressed, stressed all the times to actually feeling more calm, being more relaxed, and being more clear on what I actually So the first and foremost important thing is hyperhydration. What do I mean by that? It's just drinking more water. I just drink a lot of water these days. And this is again because of Alex Sharpen. He actually challenged me to drink nothing but only water for 10 days. And, you know, it's been done like a few weeks ago and I already enjoy this so much. I only drink water right now and I just hyperhydrate myself. And it's so fascinating to see if you only drink water, no sugar, no coffee, no bullshit, it just keeps your mind so clean. You're always awake, you're always alive. You always feel present in the moment. You just build that natural thirst in you, which always keeps you excited to stand up and get more work done. And I can't tell you how much remarkable this is. And I want you to take the challenge right now. Go ahead and comment the word hyperhydrate and take a challenge for yourself to actually do a 10-day water-only challenge where you drink as much water as possible, 4 to 5 liters at least, and keep yourself hyperhydrated. That's the first thing which helped me a lot. So the next thing is continuous physical walking. I had a walking pad under my standing desk, so that helps me to get a few miles while I'm actually on my team meetings or, you know, few meetings which are not related to sales or content So that helps me in cardio. But at the same time, I like to actually work out. I actually work out at least 4 to 5 times every single week. I spend at least 1 to 2 hours a day in the gym, which keeps me pumped. And this is more of a habit and this builds the discipline. So simple things like only drinking water and only doing workouts every day possible can actually build a lot of discipline in you. And that's what I'm talking about. Then the next stuff I'm talking about is staying in neutral. Again, we heard a lot of debates on how to actually do meditation and stuff. I have mentors who actually love meditation. I have friends who actually fall in love with meditation. They meditate meditate for hours every single week. I just can't do that. And I was sitting with my friends and I was trying to meditate with them and I just felt nothing. And I just was like, okay, what are we doing again? Am I doing it right? I always have that constant feeling. And what I learned from Alex and Joe Rogan's podcast and now from Ravi Kant as well is you actually don't need to meditate or think about meditation in the first place. Guided meditation or saying something or focusing on your breath or anything like that. All you want to do is just calm yourself, calm your nervous system. And how to do that is just sit in a place, not a lot of voice, and have your eyes closed. Just sit or lay down, not a big problem. Make sure you're not sleeping and just stay neutral. Staying in neutral is just not think about anything. Just let your mind do its own thing. Don't control it. Don't restrict it. Don't judge it. Don't stop it. Don't count. Don't do any of that shit. Just sit and just think. And yes, it will feel weird for the first few days for sure. Like I started doing it, you know, for the first 5 minutes, it was really tough for me for the first few days, but then it got to 10, 15, 20 minutes, right? Now. And as every day, I try to have a 20-minute time for myself to stay in neutral. I just don't do anything. I sit or lay down and I just close my eyes. I think about things and I just let my brain do its own thing. I don't stop, I don't restrict, I don't judge. It really helped me to calm my nervous system so that I don't stay in fight or flight mode. Because most of the times as entrepreneurs, there is always fires, always things which go operation around, and we always are staying in the fight or flight mode, which doesn't allow us to make the best decision because The way we are reacting can impact the whole life of the business and our personal lives as well. So just having that calm nervous system can help you so much. So that thing is a game changer. And the last boring but evergreen advice is to read books. Yes, I'm talking about just reading, or at least having a 20-minute learning session for yourself. I'm not just talking about binge-watching Andrew Tate's content where you feel like you're learning motivational shit. I'm talking about actual problems which are going on in your business right now, where you could define it very well and find a book or expert who's actually helping you to solve that problem and get his course or membership or TikTok or actual book in hand and start learning from it. For example, I'm actually learning how to actually get my time back. So I'm reading a book by Dan Marshall about buying your time back. It's a very interesting book overall. So summing it up, whatever the problem you believe is the number one problem in your business right now, pick 3 business books or 3 people who you know have the stuff to actually solve the problem and keep a 20-minute learning time for every single day for you to consume that information. So just by doing these 4 things, you will build so much more discipline. Again, when you say discipline, discipline is doing regardless of situations, emotions, on how you feel, and the environment you're living in. It doesn't matter. You do it anyways. That's what I mean by discipline. So now once you actually build these 4 habits in your life where you're actually staying hyper-hydrated every day, you're actually working out every single day, you're staying in neutral, and you're consuming or reading stuff which can help you to solve your business problem and personal problems, your life will be in a much, much, much stronger direction. Wish somebody told me this advice when I was actually getting started. And I learned this the hard way. That's why I'm trying to help you stay focused and stay more motivated and stay more disciplined primarily because your motivation is no longer dependent on any YouTube video you're watching, but it's actually on the way you're living your own life. And there is no bigger discipline than just being the best version of yourself and trying to be one overall. So I hope this video helps. Again, this is Neel Nitu Sai. I started as a 19-year-old broke dropout. I built a million-dollar marketing agency in just 2 years. and I've interviewed over 100 millionaires on my show to consolidate the information, and I'm sharing it for free on my YouTube channel. So I hope you enjoyed this video so far. If you enjoyed this, please make sure to subscribe and share your thoughts and take up a challenge. If you're going to take any of these 4 habits, at least pick one of them, which is the easiest one. Pick one, start doing that for the first week, then add another for the next week, add another for the next week, and add another for the next week. In 1 month, you'll be able to start Having these 4 habits in your life continuously and your motivation and the amount of energy you will have will be amazing. And it is no longer dependent on some stuff you actually watch, but it's the way you live your life. So with that being said, if you have any suggestions or if you want me to make more topics on productivity and personal health, make sure to comment so I can know that you actually love this type of content. I can make more. Please share this with friends who might actually get help out of this. And this is me, Nikhil Sai, signing off for today. Bye. Consider subscribing. Bye-bye.
