A speaker argues women aren't told enough about estrogen therapy as an option, especially those with risk factors like family osteoporosis history. Hormone therapy works best alongside nutrition, sleep, stress management, and exercise, not as a standalone fix.
Chapters
Number one, we're not educating women. Number two, we're not educating them about the options. I don't have an agenda about how many people should be on hormone therapy. I don't know what that number is. Every single woman over a certain age should already know that that's an option for them. And what would their specific risk factors be? Do you have a strong family history of osteoporosis? I think estrogen needs to be on the agenda for you. But I could dip you in estrogen all day, every day. And if you don't eat well, manage your stress sleep, maintain social connections, lift heavy weights, get your protein and your fiber, be nice to yourself. Hormones aren't going to fix much. It's a tool in the toolkit. So everybody needs to know what the tools in the toolkit are for them.
