She Lost 90 Lbs and Reduced Inflammation Without a GLP-1

Kimberly Renz lost 90 pounds over four years by tracking blood sugar with a CGM and joining Brigid Titgemeier's nutrition program, dropping her C-reactive protein by 10.9 points and fasting insulin by 3 points. She ditched 30 years of diet cycling by shifting to consistency over perfection.

Today on the Being Brigid Show, I'm joined by a very special guest, Kimberly Renz, who's going to talk through her health journey and give us a sneak peek of what she was experiencing before and how she overcame so many struggles, has lost more than 90 pounds, has improved her blood sugar, has improved her menopausal symptoms, and so much more. Kimberly, take us back to 9-year-old Kimberly, who was thinking about her weight at the time. And what that experience was like for you.
Oh my gosh. 9-year-old Kimberly, she was full of energy, really happy, loved being with people, but always had this insecure feeling about her body and felt that I needed to lose weight and needed to get thinner and needed to fit into my Ditto jeans and wanted to fit into those jeans, but unfortunately didn't. So since I was 9 years old, I have really struggled with my weight, and I probably have gained and lost over 100 pounds— over hundreds, not just 100, hundreds of pounds over the course of my life so far. I've been probably on every single calorie restriction diet that mankind has designed, and I just couldn't keep the weight off permanently. I got really good at losing weight And then unfortunately it would come back on and I continued to struggle for all the years of my life, to be honest.
At 9 years old, you were thinking about your weight. Were you dieting then?
I was. I was, you know, I was the kid who didn't have desserts. I was the kid who was like, well, we need to cut back a little bit. We need to, you know, for your Easter basket, we're going to put in some different things. We're going to put in the Carefree sugar-free gum. We're gonna put in the things that, um, you know, won't— we'll put in some diet sodas, um, those types of things. Um, so yeah, I was very conscious as well as my parents who I think had best intentions were also really conscious as well of just, um, of just my weight.
And so at that age, like having that stigma already tied to to yourself and then being the person that's like getting different Easter baskets and things like that. What did that do for you mentally? I'm assuming it created like a level of obsession, would you call it?
I would. I think, you know, at that age I was like, wait, why am I not— I want those treats. I love sugar. I want to be able to have things that my friends are having. And, you know, I remember there would be some times when I go over to my best friend's house and Oh my gosh, over there we would have dessert every night or after dinner or when we're watching TV, we were going to pull out our favorite candy. So it was very different. And so, yeah, I think from my mindset, you know, I was still pretty happy-go-lucky and I was— I probably didn't notice it as much, but I do notice like, you know, when we were sitting at the lunch tables at school and everyone's pulling out their Twinkies or their Ding Dongs and, you know, I'm pulling out my carrots. It's like, ah, no one wants to trade with me. So, but, you know, I wasn't obsessed necessarily, but I do remember noticing the difference for sure.
And what did that do for your self-esteem? Mm.
I think over time it just continuously made me feel like if I could just how, you know, and this is like years, this just wasn't over at 9 years old. But I remember even going into then high school, right, where I was heavy. And that, that's where I really began to notice the difference in my body versus other people's bodies and wanting to be fair. And I'll never forget, you know, I was on the drill team and I was— we were marching down into a— down to the field to start our performance. And my skirt was a little tight. And I remember my coach saying, hey, Kimberly, your skirt's a little tight. So it was these constant reminders that my body just was not right. It was not that I wasn't okay, my body wasn't okay. And if I could just look different, it would be better. So it's carried through. That was a thread throughout my entire life. For sure. And I remember sometimes even when I was little, I would just say, gosh, if I could just— if I could— and I know this wouldn't happen, but my prayers, please just let me wake up thin. I will do anything just to make me be thin. And, you know, of course that doesn't happen, but, um, because it takes a lot of work. Um, but yeah, I— and my parents were really supportive. They want— they knew some of the pain that I was feeling about my weight. And so they were incredibly supportive about, you know, okay, let's try, let's try this plan. Let's try, okay, let's do this plan. Okay, we're gonna do this plan. So it was very, um, it was very much a part of my life for sure.
And then you said you've been on every diet under the sun, so you've done Weight Watchers and Atkins, I'm sure, and, and all those. And so I'm assuming that the outcome would be that you would lose the weight and then walk us through what would happen next.
Right. I mean, I've done, you know, I did, there was a diet called the Cambridge diet where you drank these protein drinks 3 times a day. And I would, so, or it was with any diet, it was Weight Watchers, it was anything I would, um, I would lose the weight and it took time, but they were sometimes they were so calorie restrictive, it would be fast. And then I would drop the pounds and I, you know, in some of them I would incorporate exercise. And so then once that— once I wasn't able to sustain that low calorie intake, or I was— I went back to different eating habits and stopped exercising, then I would just— it would, it would creep back on. And I mean, I can't— yes, every year when I would sit down for my New Year's resolution, it was— has been since especially, but not in these last 3 years since working with you. Every year my New Year's resolution is get to my goal weight, lose weight. I mean, it has been a con— if I look back in my journals and see what I was working on, um, I even have a journal that, uh, basically has tracked my weight for the last multiple years. In fact, I was looking at a picture the other day and I'm like, okay, what? Gosh, I thought I was thin in that picture. How much— what did I weigh there? And I went back in my little journal, but I'm like, wow, this is what I weighed at that time. So it's definitely, as I'm talking this through with you, it's definitely been a heavy piece on my heart for a very, very long time, for my whole life. Wow. So, yeah.
And so much of it, like, from the diet industry, right, of, like, trying to sell you this fix that would only temporarily fix things, but you wanted it so badly, so you're like, I will go all in on this. And I will give it 110% until literally physiologically it became impossible to do where you're like, I can't white-knuckle my way through 3+ months of extreme caloric deprivation because, you know, your metabolism's shutting down, your thyroid's being impacted, your hormones, all these things. And it's like, no, let's just push harder, was, you know, or like, there's something wrong with you. I'm sure that you had moments of being like, I'm the problem that I can't follow these diets.
Exactly. I mean, until recently and starting to work with you, it— you know, I never realized and understood the science of my body, and I didn't understand the importance of the blood sugar. I didn't understand insulin resistance. I didn't understand adrenal fatigue. I didn't understand spikes in cortisol. I didn't understand any of that. And so I look back to, I wish I knew what I know now. I wish I knew then. And I think about all of the teenage girls right now who have those same, I'm not enough, my body is not doing well, and I wish I was thinner. Or I see girls who might be, you know, who might be on the heavier side. And I just internalize feeling for them so much, wishing that they knew what I know now, because it isn't them. It is their bodies, and their bodies are miracles, and they can change how— what they put into their bodies can help them with feeling so much better. It's similar to what you always say, Brigid Titgemeier. Food is medicine. Our body's going to respond to food in multiple ways. It could either be in a positive way and use it as fuel and use it to heal ourselves, or it will use it to inflame and create chronic disease.
So true. So true. So you've gone through this process throughout decades of your life and then take us to 2019, which was when you started to experience more symptoms.
Yeah. So in 2019, I began to have symptoms that started to kind of scare me, to be honest. I thought, oh my gosh, I was inflamed. I was bloated. I, you know, was constipated. I had poor sleep. I had super low energy. I had joint pain. The bottoms of my feet hurt. Overall, I was just not feeling good in my body. And I was probably also at a very— my weight was at a high, you know, was probably at one of my highest levels. And I thought at first, well, maybe it's menopause. Maybe this is just what happens when you get older. And but I just, I had heard, you know, I had heard you on a podcast with Jenna Kutcher when she had done some transformation in her body. And I heard you and you just resonated so much with me in the sense that, no, these symptoms are not normal. These aren't things that we have to live with. And so I— and you had talked so much about blood sugar and the impact of blood sugar that I started to kind of do a deep dive on blood sugar. So I really wanted to learn how that impacted health. And luckily you had started the Blood Sugar Reset, or probably not started, but that's, I was introduced to the Blood Sugar Reset and had this 7-day, 10-day plan of all these blood sugar balancing meals, which I really didn't know what that really meant. But man, I can stick to a plan. So I went to the plan and started experimenting with it. And it was, you know, you feel a lot better when your blood sugar isn't all over the map and you're not eating handfuls of peanut M&M's at 3 o'clock. And, you know, having a balanced lunch and not enjoying, you know, all these breads and whatnot, you could actually have a blood sugar balanced meal that tastes delicious and not have those afternoon spikes. So it was true. It was so life-changing.
So I think I started working with Jenna in 2020. It was the fall of 2021 that I went on her podcast where she shared her incredible health transformations that the internet became so obsessed with. And then it was spring of 2022 that you signed up for the Blood Sugar Reset. And that was your first entry point to starting to understand blood sugar. So tell us, like, do you remember certain symptom changes that you felt in that first round of the Blood Sugar Reset?
Yes, I do, because I, I think probably the biggest thing that I felt was a decrease in inflammation and in bloating. Like, my joints felt better just even after 10 days of really practicing missing the blood sugar balance meals. I also, I noticed a decrease in bloating. And I think at the time, which I know is not really something that is, you know, it's a side benefit, but for me it was a, you know, it's always been in the back of my mind, you know, even dropping some pounds, which was nice. I think I lost lost maybe 2 or 3 pounds in that first week. So, um, yeah, those are some of this— I mean, those are some of the symptoms that I, that I remember. I mean, the— my bloating, my inflammation, it's something I would eat and I would just hurt. And I remember being on the Blood Sugar Reset and I didn't hurt after eating.
Yes, that's so common. I mean, it's also such a testament to how much your body can change in such a short period of time when it's given the right information, when you're able to follow a blood sugar balance plan that helps to decrease inflammation, that helps to support your gut microbiome and, and all these things that can lead to so many different symptom improvements. So you did the blood sugar reset and then you tried to do it on your own in between and you got to this very low point in 2023. So tell us about that.
So in 2023, I again was at a really, really high point., in my weight. And so, and, and again, I was just, I, I was really worried that it's like, Kimberly, if you don't get this under control, you are going to be, you're going to have some chronic disease. And, um, I, you know, obviously don't want a chronic disease. So, uh, but it was like even the soles of my feet hurt and I am a very active person and for me not to be able to to walk up and down stairs without being breathless and being active without pain was really impactful. So I went to my primary care physician who had been along with me for a long time in my journey, and they were like, Kimberly, I think it's time that we read— that we get some— that you— that maybe you get some help. And so I thought, okay, I'll go get some help. And I had heard, you know, I'd worked with Blood Sugar Reset. I was really curious about my blood sugar, and I knew about continuous glucose monitors, um, but I really wasn't sure how to access it. So I thought, okay, let's go get some help. So I went to the doctor, the weight doctor, and which was the referral—
your primary care referred you to a weight loss doctor?
Exactly. And I walked in, and the first thing the doctor said was, what medication do you want? And I was so taken aback. I thought, oh my gosh, I know that that's popular right now. And I know that that's what some people probably come here looking for. But it was so opposite of what I wanted that I was taken aback. And I said, well, I really do. I don't want any of that medication. Made me even second-guess my choice of do I really want that medication? Maybe I don't. I said, I don't want the medication. What I want is a blood— I want a continuous glucose monitor. And unfortunately, due to, you know, qualifying for continuous glucose monitors, I didn't qualify for one. And so I left the doctor just— I just, I will never forget that appointment feeling so deflated thinking, oh my gosh, the only answer for me is the medications. But then I thought, nope, I'm going to try it this way. I've, I've heard it works. I know it works. So I ended up going out of pocket and paying for continuous glucose monitor that I have continued to wear as my little friend. Keep going like this because that's where it is. It is my little angel on my, on my shoulder, or actually on the back of my arm. So that I wear to give me constant data into how is my blood sugar doing. And it has been quite a journey. It's been eye-opening. And it really has taught me a lot about what goes on inside my body.
So crazy that your doctor is like, let's give you any prescription you want, but no, I'm not going to write you a prescription for a continuous glucose monitor.
I couldn't believe it. I was so disappointed.
Which at the time, so you ended up getting a continuous glucose monitor through Levels, which was, is a company that was pretty big in bringing continuous glucose monitors to the market outside of people that have type 2 diabetes. In instances like you and so many others who can benefit from improving their overall metabolic health in a more proactive way instead of waiting until you get diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.
Right.
And then you also entered our programs at that time. So this is also helpful because I do think that we see a lot of people who do the blood sugar reset, they see benefits, but then they're like, I'm going to try to do this on my own, which was like in between the rounds of the blood sugar reset, which was why we ended up creating the Being Collective in order to continue on that journey of being able to do the meal planning every week and help you continue to see that success so that you're not, you know, trying to do the Blood Sugar Reset style on your own without the guidance and the community and all those things. So at that time, we didn't have The Being Collective yet. You entered into our My Food Is Health program and then joined The Being Collective when we launched The Being Collective. So let's first talk about the results that you've gotten from doing the rounds of the Blood Sugar Reset starting in 2022 that then led to you're a very active member of the Being Collective, that you are like on our weekly calls, all of our coaching calls, and you really show up for yourself. But I'd love to go through some of the outcomes that you've seen. So tell us how much weight you've lost since, since 2022.
Um, I have lost about 90 pounds since 2022.
Which I did not know until we just got on right before this podcast. I had no idea that you lost 90 pounds. I thought it was closer to about 40 pounds. Um, so insane. So insane. Not that it's all about the weight, but weight does impact other markers. And obviously this has been a lifelong thing that you've been trying to work on. So the fact that you've been able to do it in a very sustainable way right? We're talking about 2022 to 2026. Now we're 4 years in the making. Is so incredible.
Well, and the thing that is so interesting, Brigid, as it's been a course over— it's been over time. It's the 3 years or 4 years over time to lose that much weight. And when I've done that in the past, first of all, I've never lost I mean, it has been maybe over a year I've lost that much weight and then I gain it right back. The thing that feels so different is that it feels very sustainable. I have never— I used to— my old tapes, my old messages out to the world when I would lose weight is, this is it. This is going to be it. This is the last time I'm going to have to do this. And this is going to be— I'm not going to have to go on a diet again. Fast forward to now, over the course since I started working with you, since 2023, 2022, but really 2023, you know, focused. I have never once felt like I was on a diet. I never once felt that I needed to say, okay, this is it. I'm never going to have to go back. I'm never going to gain this back. It just feels like a lifestyle. And I think that's the gift. That the different programs have given me. I don't feel anxious about losing or gaining weight anymore. I mean, yes, do I sometimes get worried that it's— I'm going to gain weight back? That's always in the back of my head, but I now have really good tools that I've learned to be able to utilize and to support my, um, my future self.
So amazing. So, so, so amazing. So that, that was one. Let's talk about your CRP. Can you tell us how much your C-reactive protein has come down, which is a marker of inflammation?
Yeah, it's down 10.9 points.
10.9 points.
Yeah. Yeah.
Also insane. 11 points down in your C-reactive protein, one of the biggest markers of chronic inflammation. So much of your blood sugar and your metabolic health is tied to inflammation. It's one of the biggest drivers of underlying inflammation that creates this vicious storm of all these symptoms you're talking about— the joint pain, fatigue, sometimes the bloating can be a sign, um, so many different symptoms that people normalize. So you have adopted this program, 90 pounds down, 10.9, we'll call it 11 points down in your inflammation. Blood sugar, tell us about your blood sugar.
Yeah, my blood sugar is down, um, 11 points.
11 points. And your fasting glucose?
Yep. And my fasting glucose, um, it— that's, let's see, that's— yeah, that's the one that's down 11 points. And my insulin is down 3. Points.
Amazing. So you've improved your insulin sensitivity, you've improved your blood sugar balance, you've decreased your inflammation, and you've lost 90 pounds. You also can see that the weight loss itself is coming predominantly from fat because you've been testing and working alongside Michelle to test your— or interpret the testing that you've gotten done on your overall body mass— not body mass index, but your overall percent body fat versus your skeletal muscle mass, right?
I think something that I have, you know, learned from— I mean, I've learned so many things, but one of the pieces of my success is that I have picked certain data points that I keep, that I keep my eye on, and one of them being blood sugar. So I'm frequently monitoring my blood sugar. I also, you know, taking it— I wanted to— and then obviously I look at the scale and I'm trying not— but— and that's just one measure. But another piece is I do get my— I get an InBody scan to measure my percent body fat and my skeletal muscle mass because I don't want to lose that every 3 months as well. So I have certain data markers that help me stay focused. Um, so that's one tool that I, that I have in place that I use that's been very helpful. And then I get labs, I get blood work done too, every— at least, yeah, twice a year, um, so that I can see progress or I can see where there might be what I might need to continue to work on.
Yes. So you're using Function Health, and also initially we were just talking about this before we logged in that Initially, her cholesterol markers, her oxidized LDL markers, her ApoB, all of these other cardiovascular markers improved so significantly. And now that's something that you're seeing them start to go up where you're working on going deeper into nutrition changes that you can make to be able to support that side as well so that you're being super comprehensive in the approach that you're taking. And that is the power of nutrition, right, is that over time we can adapt and change. But having that data to come back to is such an important part. And that's what we go deeper in in the Being Collective is being able to support you in understanding what these numbers mean and the changes that you can make in order to improve your, your numbers overall, to continue to decrease your risk of these chronic diseases, improve your longevity, and then feel good on a daily basis.
Absolutely. And throughout the whole piece is, is, you know, it's really being focused in on consistency and It is something you have to pay attention to every single day. At least that's what I have to do. I have to pay attention to it every single day. And there are going to be days where I am not as consistent and I have given myself grace on those days to realize that life is going to happen. There's going to be stressors at home, there's going to be stressors at work, there's going to be different things that are going to pop up. There's going to be celebrations, there's going to be travel, there's going to be all these pieces. But what I know is I know this foundation that I come back to, which is the blood sugar balanced meals, the movement, the good sleep, the monitoring my water intake, for example, by following all of those pieces and keeping a good healthy mindset. I know I can always come back to that. Like, that's my core and it just, it helps me, you know, and so, but being consistent and planned is, for me, is a very helpful tool.
And I've heard you say in our community that's your number one takeaway, is the consistency over perfection mantra that we're always—
Yes.
—stating over and over and over again. How does that differ from the all-or-nothing mindset that you used to have? Oh my gosh.
It is— you know, the other mantra that I love is progress over perfection. And before, it was either I was on a diet or I'm off a diet. I can have ice cream, I cannot have ice cream. Up, I'm, you know, off this plan. So let's get the pizza. Let's get all of the things that I loved. Let's get the hamburger, the fries, all of that. Now, that all-or-nothing mindset isn't even present. I think by how I know by having the balanced blood sugar, by having these different habits in place, it takes away— by being planned, it takes away that almost that food noise. Because I know, I know what I'm going to have in my next meal. I know what I'm going to have down the road because I have planned it out through the Being Collective every single week. So it takes away those— it takes away that decision fatigue of what am I going to eat? But also, I think the balanced blood sugar also takes away that food noise and it creates that balance of, okay, I'm satiated, I've had my protein, I've had my vegetables, I've had my healthy fats. I'm not— I, I'm no longer, you know, I'm good to the next meal and I'm in. I know exactly what I'm going to be having. So it's been life-changing not to be in this all-or-nothing mindset and to realize consistency over perfection, progress over perfection. I mean, all of the mindset is such a big component of it as well that I never really took into place before. I was white-knuckling it through whatever diet plan I was on. And then when it was over, it's like, okay, now what am I going to do? But there was no plan. I had no safety net. And so now I have a great safety net. And excellent tools to fall back on and use. Actually, I don't even have to fall back on them. I use them on the daily. So, and I plan them every single day. So make sure that that goes into place. And when I don't, I'm mindful that it's okay about that too, because I do need to continue to work on giving myself grace.
And for someone who's thinking, let's talk, let's think about maybe 2022 version of Kimberly that's thinking about, like, okay, I feel so lost on what to do. I feel so frustrated. I know that I can feel better. Prior to signing up for the Blood Sugar Reset, like, what advice would you give yourself?
First and foremost, I would say to myself, you don't need to feel this way. And I would tell them, tell her to really understand that this isn't, it's not about Kimberly, it's about the biology of Kimberly. And let's learn what we can, what's going on inside your body so that we can utilize food to support you versus, you know, be the enemy, so to speak. I would champion her in her efforts and say, you've done so well so far. And I would just, I would really tell her, let's get this, let's get the blood sugar under control and let's get your, let's look at your, let's dig deeper and let's do a deep dive on ways to support you. So amazing.
Okay, so we talked about takeaway number 1 that you have is consistency over perfection. And then I want to get into the second one that you shared with our group previously, which is that you can feel good with aging. Can you share what that means to you? And also, can you share your age? Do you feel comfortable sharing your age with everyone?
Yeah. No, actually, I am in 2 weeks going to be going into a brand new decade. So I am 2 weeks shy of being 60. And Brigid, oh my gosh, I feel like really this 60 and strong is what I really feel. Yes. So I really, as you move into your 50s, later 50s, you begin to think everyone has aches and pains and, oh, my knees hurt and my joints hurt and I'm just I've got this belly fat and I've got, you know, you just don't feel right. And so often you hear people say, well, that's just part of getting older. And I just think, no, it's, no, it's not about getting older. It is, we are getting older and we can do things now. We can make choices now for our 95-year-old self. And so we need seriously, we— I needed to pay serious attention. And I, you know, shout this to everybody because it's so doable. It's so doable. Pay attention to what habits we're building now to support us in our late 90s. So it's not just because we're old, that's how we feel, and that that's, that's just what it is to get old, is you, you know, your body breaks down.. It doesn't have to. Our bodies are miracles. Our bodies can heal themselves. Our bodies can get strong. Our bodies are strong. Um, and everybody can do it. And, um, it's a beautiful thing.
I think the message is so relatable because it's like, if you can do it, anyone can do it. After struggling for so many decades and feeling like you had it and then you didn't have it and then you had it, then you didn't have it, that it's like, If you can do it, anyone can do it.
Yes. And it's, you know, and I realize that, and I've been through many seasons of my life where work was so stressful that I know that my cortisol— I didn't know then, but my cortisol was like in that chronic fight or flight mode. And then there's seasons where, you know, when you're in the summer and in the summer it's like, oh, it's summer. I just want to enjoy all the fun social things that I do. You know, traveling and you want to be able to enjoy. And so there is never going to be a perfect season in your life. We are all going to go through seasons and we have to listen and pay attention to what our body needs at that time and the way in which we eat and the way in which we have certain habits. It is doable during every single season. Might it be as intense some seasons of our life? Maybe we have to dial it back a bit, but really, really, really paying attention to what we're consuming and what we are doing for our bodies can happen anytime. And yes, you're right. If I can do it, anybody can do it. So I love that.
Yeah. So takeaway number 3, we have consistency over perfection. Number 2, you can feel good with aging. And then the third one that I've heard you say is being committed committed to getting better every day and striving for your best self. Can you tell us what that means? Yes. Um, sometimes I really—
I can be a— I can be a, you know, it's my all or nothing. So it's— I can be a perfectionist. And so, um, every day I just try to be just a little bit better than the day before. It's like, okay, maybe I wasn't able to get out and move my body as much, but maybe today I'm going to do some movement breaks, or I'm doing some, you know, I'm walking around more because I used to think that, you know, exercise movement was okay. I did my workout and that's it. But really, movement really is throughout my day. So I just try to be better. I try to share with others the success. I cheer people on. And as they're trying to go through their own journey of weight loss. I try to support them with the things that I've learned, and I just try to be my best self every single day and really making sure that I'm contributing. I'm contributing to community. I'm having a purpose, and I'm focused on my habits that have gotten me— that have taken me so far in the past 3 years. So just even 1% better makes me 365% better by the end of the year. Mm-hmm.
That's such a great way of thinking about it. So we have consistency over perfection. You can feel good with any age and staying committed to getting better, getting 1% better every day. Mm-hmm. Yep. Yep.
And surround yourself with community. That is, I think, so amazing. I love the Being Collective community, the Facebook where you hop on. People are sharing their, their struggles, people are sharing their celebrations and just being able to say, oh my gosh, I am not alone in this. Other people are on this path and it might look— and all of us are different. My experience versus someone else's experience and someone else's experience are all different and our bodies are responding to things all differently. But what binds us together is that beautiful community. That we can come together and share, share together. And then we have the incredible recipe drops, or we have the monthly challenges from the Being Collective. And we have all these ideas where you and your team pop in and, and cheer us on and give us the support that we need to, and, and, and the information. You know, you all provide so much education through the weekly coaching calls and it's just, um, it's just incredible. And that community really is important. And especially as women, we need each other to get through this incredible thing we called life.
I could not agree more. I could not agree more. And I think that it's like amazing that you started in the Blood Sugar Reset, which was the entire reason that I started the Blood Sugar Reset I mean, not thinking through it all because at the time I was just like, I want to be able to help as many people in a, you know, one-week period of time as possible for the lowest amount of money possible to be able to just think like, if you can feel what it feels like to balance your blood sugar for at least one week, you will change the way that you think about food. And I love the fact that you, you entered through the Blood Sugar Reset as like It's just a 1-week commitment. It's a low financial investment. It's 1 week of your life. And then look at where you can be several years later. Yeah.
I mean, Brigid, I didn't mention this earlier, but you hit— so I remember listening to you and I remember, because I remember seeing Jenna and I thought, oh my gosh, I wonder how she's losing weight. I wonder how she's doing this. So I, you know, as soon as her podcast dropped, I listened, and then your voice came on, and I thought to myself, wouldn't it be so great if I could work with her? And I thought, there is never going to be a way that I could work with Brigid Titgemeier. Just financially, I thought, there's just no way. And then you came out with, I think it was a $10 for the Blood Sugar Reset. I think that was the first one. I don't know, maybe $20. I forget.
It was free the first 2 rounds, then we increased to $10. And now it's $30. It's $29. Yeah, still a bargain.
I keep telling you, you are the gold standard. But I thought, oh my gosh, I can't believe it. I get to work with Brigid Titgemeier. And so anyways, it was that— it was a dream. It was— I just will never forget. I know exactly where I was when I heard your voice and I said, I want to work with her. And you make it so accessible and so available and provide so much for what, for what you charge. So I would incredibly grateful for that. And you're basically a dream come true.
Oh, thank you, Kimberly. I mean, look at what you've done. It's incredible. It's incredible where it's like, you know, you continue to not give up on yourself after so many decades of feeling like you weren't able to figure out exactly how to feel good, to feel comfortable and confident in your body. And now look at you going into your 60s with this about to be your strongest decade yet. Yeah, exactly that.
And I remember turning 50 and feeling like, oh my gosh, I'm turning 50. People are now, how are you with turning 60? I'm like, I am in the best place ever and I feel strong, I feel healthy. I feel in charge of my health, and that feels good. So, so amazing. Yeah, bring it on.
I love that. Well, we'll be cheering you on throughout your, your upcoming celebration and this new decade. And for everyone that's interested in joining us in the Blood Sugar Reset, we have our next round of the Blood Sugar Reset coming up. If you are interested in just that being your starting place and then continuing that evolution like Kimberly has done, you can go to beingbrigid.com/blood-sugar-reset. Again, that's beingbrigid.com/blood-sugar-reset. Kimberly, thank you so much for being here and for sharing your story with us. I just, I can't tell you how much it means to me, truly.
Wow, thank you, Brigid. You mean the world to me, and I'm so happy to pay it forward.
So thank you for having me on, and I'm so happy we were able to make this work. I was— when I, I saw Kimberly when I was in San Diego, she had messaged me outside of a coaching call saying like, I know you're coming to San Diego, I'd love to go for a walk for you, with you. And, um, so we made that happen, and then that led to us talking about her coming on the podcast. And so it's so great that we were able to do this. Thank you for being here and sharing your story, and thank you for tuning in to the Being Bridget Show. I'll see you next time.
