Forever chemicals from Teflon and plastics can damage fertility by disrupting hormone signals and shrinking ovarian reserve. They trigger inflammation, increase gut permeability, and create interference in the brain's hormone control system, impairing ovulation and luteal phase quality.

Environmental toxins is another thing that a lot of doctors will say, don't matter. Can you explain the connection between toxins and fertility?
I did research on this back in fellowship. I remember my husband still laughs at me. This was the start to completely changing our health. But he came home one day from work and I was in our kitchen, and all the Teflon, all the plastic was getting piled up because I was doing research at the time on PFCs, which are perforated chemicals, also known as forever chemicals, and how they impacted your steroid hormone levels and your ovarian reserve. And the data was just profound. That sort of. So many different chemicals change how your body works on a multitude of different levels, but they can contribute to a direct inflammatory response. They can damage your gut and cause increased gut permeability. They can directly change your hormone system. That's why they're called endocrine disruptors, because they either bind or mimic hormones, which, if we think about your brain, I often say it's air traffic control. It's your hypothalamus is responsible for interpreting signals and then responding appropriately. And so if something's coming in and mimicking or blocking, it's like static. It can't hear the right signal. It's not going to be able to respond appropriately. And that right away is going to interfere with your ovulation, your hormone production, and the quality of your luteal phase.
