Choosing a "Yes, And" Life Even When It Doesn't Make Rational Sense
13 Aug 2026 · 45 min
Tara left Hong Kong for France and invested thousands in retreats and masterminds without certifications, following intuition instead of logic. She spent $8K on a mastermind trip and $10K on a retreat, trusting her inner knowing even when family questioned her choices. She built Wild Heart Living by saying yes before feeling ready.

There's no certification. There's no degree. I'm paying $10,000 to go on a 4-day retreat in the middle of nowhere for me. And there may or may not be mushrooms. Like, we don't know. Hello and welcome back to another episode of the Yes And Podcast. I am Bunny Young, your host and serial entrepreneur, mom of 4 beautiful kids. And today, I just want you to know that this show, the entire reason it exists is for anyone who is done waiting for permission to build the life that they actually want and the business that supports it. And so today I have someone in this studio who is a living, breathing example of what it looks like when you actually do it. She lives in France, which honestly already tells you something about her choices and what she wants to do with her life, her perspective. And I'm going to give you a little bit of behind the scenes on what I mean by that. My guest today is the founder of Wild Heart Living, and she's also a Defy Community member. And she said something in her intake form that I have not been able to stop thinking about. She said, the less my life makes rational sense, the happier I am. She takes action before she is ready. She follows her inner knowing even when, and especially when, it has no logic to back it up. Sound familiar? And she has built something real from that place. I have been genuinely looking forward to this conversation because I think Tara is going to say some things that land in the body, not just in the brain. Tara, welcome to the Yes And Podcast.
Thank you, Bunny. Thank you for this. And it's quite something to hear everything like that. I receive everything that you've just shared. So thank you.
Well, we're just getting started and I want to go back to what I shared in the intro of that statement that the less your life makes rational sense, the happier you are. Let's start there because what was the moment that you first noticed that that was actually true for you?
I think it was about a year and a half ago. So it was after there was a few of these instances that had happened, and I was realizing, oh, actually this is how I've been functioning. And it's another thing, like, I'm listening to a Queen Herbie song and it starts like, That's not how life works. Uh, not for you. You're a whimsical being or something like that. And my life is full of moments like that where people like tell me that's not how it works.
Mm-hmm.
And I have done this over and over again, and this is more on a larger scale. I left Hong Kong cuz I needed a break. I decided not to go back to Hong Kong because My grandfather passed away and that led me to stay in France to spend incredible time with my grandmother, which was a gift. And the more I stayed there and shared that, people were saying how it was also a gift for me to do that for my grandmother. They'd wish their granddaughters, grandkids would spend more time with them. And for me, this wasn't originally normal. Like when you're an adult, you don't go and spend time with your grandparents, not living your own life. You know, you, you have a job, you have kids, you make more money, you get more successful, and that's life is. And so that's also part of like the dichotomy comes to mind of like how I'm living.
Yeah.
And yet I found so much joy in those moments of, I mean, the 2 and a half years that I spent with my grandmother as an adult. Her still being in her prime and everything that I've been able to learn has been, I mean, a gift beyond anything else. And I'll have that forever. Yeah. And I mean, living in France, you would've told me 5 years ago I'd be living in France. I would not have believed you at all.
And thriving in France as well. So every time I speak to you, I'm tuned into the energy of where you live. And that's what I had mentioned kind of in the intro is that I have such a soul connection with France and with the French culture, and I've had a chance to spend some extended time there at 3 different pivotal points in my life. And one of my most special times was when Steve was deployed over in Kosovo. I— we found out that we were pregnant, and I decided that I was going to have the baby in France, spend the entire summer in so that, you know, he could come over from Kosovo versus flying all the way back to the US. So I created this entire life, this entire summer plan for our entire family. Like, my dad was coming, my kids were coming, this whole thing. While we ended up miscarrying, there was this moment where it was like, am I still gonna go? Am I still gonna do this? Am I still going to live out this life? And my mom had said this aspect of, She kept saying, trip of a lifetime. And the energy of it, without knowing what the energy was, is this wild heart living. And so we went and we lived or spent the summer just north of Nice in the French Riviera. And it was something that was life-changing because Paris is one thing. There's— I kind of feel like— I'm an American faking it in Paris. Like, Parisians want nothing to do with— you know, I minored in French in college. They want nothing to do with speaking French to me because, you know, my vous conjugations are not on point. But in southern France, there's so little people speak English, like where we were, because we were just in this small village-type feeling. And my dad doesn't speak any French, and my kids don't speak any French. And yet the way of life there was just so inclusive, and it was a different way of living. It was a truth. It was not necessarily slower, but what I want to say, Tara, is like it was richer. It was just the afternoon sitting on the beach and the food, the meals that could take 3 or 4 hours. And the thing that you're just overflowing and abundant with is the essence of connection that I felt that summer. And from the second that I met you, I have felt this. And it's not a woman who is searching for herself. It's a woman who has found herself and is exploring where to bring that gift in the world and exploring where to connect. with that in the world. And I want to give you the mic and ask you, like, how has that been for you to wake up to yourself, and then, as you've shared kind of candidly with me, not have— not necessarily have your family reflect back support for that awakeness? And then— I don't know that that's the word. Tara's the individual in Defy who, when I use English words that are not appropriate, she'll correct me. And I'm always like, oh, that's absolutely wonderful to be corrected by somebody who, somebody who's mastered the English language more than a native English speaker. So, um, but I think that that's true for a lot of individuals listening to this is like they come into their power and their family or their friends are like, well, don't you want to just go back to being the way that you were? Or don't you want to just not be so much. And now you're on this second part of this journey where it's not necessarily like leaving your family. You're still active in those relationships and in those connections. You're navigating those relationships while finding your place to be you.
Yeah. What I heard on the aspect of the community, it's through programs that I've been super lucky to find individuals who are some further away than others.
Mm-hmm.
And I love when we get to meet up in person because, uh, it's just being able to have like somebody in front of you that you've known and shared so many deep things. Because when we are in these communities, I mean, Defy and the previous one as well, you get real. Like you have some superficial connections, but most of the connections that you have aren't superficial. You share the grind that you go through. You're honest. You, it's not highs all the time and you make deeper connections than people you could see on a regular basis on a day-to-day, like on your, in your daily life.
Yeah.
Even with less touchpoints. And online has been incredible for that. What I do love about this work as well. And it's been transformative cuz we're in 2026 now. I remember when I did ICM in 2023, I, I had to take some distance from family because of how they perceived everything that I was going through.
Yeah.
And thanks to that and continuing on the journey, because I am staying in tuned with my intuition, with what feels aligned, and also more at ease in being in uncomfortable situation, feeling the feelings, and also knowing when what's mine and what's the other people, I've gotten closer to them. So my relationship with my mother, which was the hardest thing for me, has getting, has been getting closer and, um, and tighter. And she hasn't changed at all.
Yeah.
And it's just my Being okay with myself, not needing to justify, not needing her to give me anything because I'm not waiting for anything from her because I know I'm enough. I mean, all of that shift.
Yeah.
Has been a beautiful transformation and I love how it has happened. I keep going back also to like 3 years ago and I was asking the question about this specifically and I Just could not envision it 3 years ago. It was a desire I had because it was also the desire of like the little girl inside of me of having this connection with my mom and my ego being like, it can't happen. And today it's like, it's real.
Yeah.
And it's just so beautiful. So it's, yeah. And knowing how to go deeper as well, to be there for people and being curious instead of I want to ask about the transition from your experience living this to teaching this in a second.
However, where I want to go to first is something that is both very intimate and delicate, and you don't have to share if you don't desire to. And it's also something that I experienced with my family, where I invested a couple hundred grand to get a master's degree and come away with this license as a therapist and this degree that I paid for, which is recognized, right? Like, it's celebrated, it's recognized, they throw a party for it. And then when I wanted to invest a couple, like, 10 grand or 20 grand, In a business. Now, I have the benefit of the aspect that I'm a third-generation entrepreneur, so my parents didn't necessarily question it. Individuals in my family though were like, what are you doing? You know, like, you did the thing, like, you got the degree, just go get a J-O-B, just go be normal. Like, why do you have to Spend more money. Like, this is a lot of money to be spending. And there's aspects of when I first started doing it, Tara, where I was like, well, this is an investment in my business. This is like if you were to invest in a Dunkin' Donuts franchise, like you would make an investment for somebody to support you in starting a business. And then it got even more uncomfortable when it was like, there's no certification, there's no degree. I'm paying $10,000 to go on a 4-day retreat in the middle of nowhere. from me. And there may or may not be mushrooms. Like, we don't know, you know? Like, and the— I found myself in these constant loops of having to justify the financial investment into my personal and professional development without necessarily having in the same timeline a clear ROI of, here's the money that I'm going to make back from this $10,000, $20,000, $50,000 investment in myself in the 4 days that I'm going on this retreat, in the 6 months that I'm investing in this coaching. And I felt it. I don't know how it was for you. However, I felt the ROI. Like, I, before I even made the investment, I knew the ROI was going to be there. Because I don't make investments that I don't get an ROI on. Like, that's just my truth. And landing it in these conversations with people around me that love me, that's the thing, Tara, is like, they're not coming from this aspect of wanting me to fail. They, they want to protect me. And what it feels like is what you said. It feels like judgment. It feels like, you know, Guilt. I don't know. Like, is this something that you've dealt with? And I know it's something that individuals that are listening have dealt with, but as somebody like you who has moved all around the world and had a life that doesn't necessarily make logical sense and made investments in yourself year after year after year, how do you navigate this?
I didn't say, I didn't share it at the beginning. I, I'm laughing because of the first investment that I took, uh, and it was intuitive and zero rational sense. Uh, and I wanna, I wanna preface with, um, I think it's in The Myth of Normal. I heard Gabor Maté say like, as a child, when you needed to go to somebody cuz you felt like you needed to feel safe, who did you go to, your mom or your dad? And he says, if you didn't go to anybody, there's trauma there. So that was my, I never felt safe to open up and share with my dad or my mom growing up for various reasons. And so I kept everything in. And so I very reluctantly shared. And if I share, I would share, that was a people pleaser. part of me for validation, to be accepted, to be loved, to receive something. If I, so I was very cautious as well because I could share and be rejected. And so I was very cautious with that. So the first investment I make in myself, I remember wanting to, and that's why also when I came across you, I was like, I love her vibe. 'Cause yes. And, uh, this was in 2017 where I had a choice to make between, I already had a trip planned overseas from Hong Kong.
Mm-hmm.
Or I had a contract that could come in at the same time. And I didn't want to have to choose between money coming in and family time, because for me, family is important. And so that was the beginning. And then I reached out to somebody, I think it was a friend of my uncle, and caught up with him. I asked him for recommendation of any books or podcasts, no books, and he recommended a podcast. I started listening to the Woman's Podcast. For a year. And then I followed her on Instagram and I saw this picture on Instagram and this was a group of women together. And I was like, I want this. There was an energy that I felt from this that I did, could not explain it, but I was like, I want this. And then she was sharing the next cohort. So I'm living in Hong Kong. This is based in the US. It's a minimum of 16-hour flight. Um, this was a weekend in person in Texas. And then 3 months virtual online. So I checked with her to know like the logistics because I'm not going to be able to stay in the US for 3 months. So, um, but it's an $8K program, I think, for 3 months. And so I go and the only person that I talked to was my partner at the time. I didn't ask him for permission. I said I was going to do this and he thought I was nuts. He did not see any rational sense. And I, For me, I didn't even think of the rationality of it. It was just like, I want this. Um, and so I flew myself on a 16-hour flight to the US. Uh, at immigration, I laughed because they're like, who are you gonna see? And I'm like, uh, well, I don't know these people technically. I followed the woman online for a year and I just show up to the US for the mastermind. And it's like, where are you staying? And I'm like, at this Airbnb. Like, I don't know, I need to check the address. I'm like, what are you here for? Business or work? A business or pleasure? And I'm like, I'm in the US. I'm here for pleasure. Don't say it's business. Are you going to work here? And I started saying work remotely and the red flags. I was like, I was jet lag tired. And, but I just knew it was right. And it was the most, this was the first time I invested in myself. This was the first time ever in my life where I found myself in a room with 12 other women and I was sharing my ideas and everybody was saying like, Tell me more. This is incredible. Go for it. You can do it. Because this was not the speech I was having around me before. It's, you can't do that. That's not how it works. It'll never work. Blah, blah. You got to do. And, and then from then on, like everything shifted. And also when you choose to make investments in yourself like this, you're telling yourself that you're worth it on a whole other level. Um, and I did not know how I was gonna pay the rest of the thing because it was 3 or 4 installments, but I figured out as I go. But I knew that, yeah, it was the energy for this one. It was really the energy. Like, I wanted to be in the energy. There was an energy there that called out to me, and I was just like, I gotta be there. And that made zero sense. I mean, for me, the But it was, yeah.
And yet it made all the sense.
Yeah.
And you bet on yourself. And, you know, as you have continued to explore this, like, that's the number one ROI that I have found in my life. So I want to talk about another investment that you made, which was Defy. And that was 2 years ago. This is our second year, is deciding that you were going to join this unicorn community. Can you walk us through what was going on when you found Defy and what made you, similar to what you just shared about the weekend in the US and this mastermind, like what made you decide to join, to trust yourself, and what's actually changed since you stepped into that container?
At the beginning of the year before I joined Defy, so I joined Defy in March and you did the Work-Life Alignment Challenge just before that. But at the beginning of the year, I was meeting with a group of women on a regular basis and I was sharing how One thing that I desired was to be called forward because I was, I take action. I, I mean, I move myself across the world within a month and I don't see that as a big thing because packing and moving is easy for me. And people look at me like, how do you do that? So my level of like bigness is like, I wanted to really be called forward. I wanted to be seen. And stop bullshitting myself and just saying like, go for it. So that was the intention I set for the year. I did the Work-Life Alignment Challenge, which I loved your energy. And I, I wasn't live for the ones, but I caught the replays and I was consuming the replays like crazy because, I mean, it was just so good. Um, and then I got invited into the fireside chat. And then there was a Defy Fit calls. I remember hesitating to, uh, book a Defy Fit call because the voice in my head was, how dare I book a call when I am not— I was financially tight and I did not know. And for me, there was other priorities happening in the same time.
Mm-hmm.
But I was like, you know what? I'll book it and then I'll see what happens instead of dismissing myself. So a lot of time it's like, I'm not gonna book the call because I can't keep going. So I'm gonna stop myself before, like you can always take one or two action before somebody else tells you no.
Yeah.
But instead of waiting for that person to tell me no, sometimes a lot less now, like I will stop myself ahead of time cuz like anyways, I'm not gonna keep going forward. So why even do those 3 steps because it's I'm not gonna be able to keep going. And so I decided to not stop myself and I said, well, I'll just go and see what happens. And then in that call, your energy was just absolutely incredible. Uh, the way, like you, you called me forward, you saw me in a way that I desired, um, to really step in. It's even bigger to like just not being bold, but it's like my entirety, fullness of everything that I have. And, and it was a no-brainer. And I always knew that every time I've done these investments, I knew that the person I would be through the journey or in the end of the journey would be a completely different person. Than who signed up. Yes. And so I, I mean, what comes to mind is like, I trust her, but it's even bigger than trust. It's like, I'm, I trust, I'm betting, I'm going, like she's leading. She's leading. It's not even like the me of today. It's like already there's a shift there. Yes.
Yes. And what I have witnessed, if I have your permission to share, is this energetic shift from your wild heart living to putting the tools together to be able to bring this to other individuals. So that shift, that growth from living it to teaching it. Have you felt that?
Yes. And what comes up to my mind as well is a deeper embodiment because I feel it more because I am living more. And there's a, there's a confidence as well. And I think it, it comes with the embodiment of just like, I don't even need to prove, I just am. Yes. And, and then sharing that afterwards. Yeah.
Everything that you've said about the fit call and about the Work-Life Alignment Challenge was my energy. And that's the biggest shift I've seen in you is typically, as you know, when individuals want to grow their business or when they come to see me for business coaching, they want the messaging, they want the structure, they want the Instagram strategy. And you now know that you become magnetic in that level of embodiment. And, and that's really what we do inside that community and what you've mastered is you don't have to worry about what you say when people feel you the second you walk into a room. Like, your people are able to step into that energy. And I think about how many times you tell me, oh, I spent this weekend on the beach, like, dancing salsa. And I'm like, oh my gosh, like, you're not in front of a computer creating an Instagram strategy. You're literally living your life and documenting it and creating clients along the way. And for some women listening to this, they still feel stuck in their head, second-guessing every move, waiting to feel ready, analyzing themselves into paralysis. And that's something that you've shared and I have from the past. What would you say to her now?
This comes at a really good timing, especially because of the last 10 days I've had, and I've been into action. I think I might've shared this and you've shared this as well. It's like, live your life and things will happen.
Mm-hmm.
And I mean, it's like a yes and where, and I love that is having the riverbanks, a structure, and then having the energy flow through. So, you know, where you're orientating that energy and that living. Um, what I would tell her is to surrender and let go. And I know when you're in it, you just can't. Like there's, it's, it's something, or reluctantly, when you feel that reluctant, reluctancy to hold yourself back from having fun, whatever activity it is, go for it. Even if you have that feeling of like being reluctant, like feel it, be with that and go for it.
Yes. Yes.
And one thing that I appreciated from this year's Work-Life Alignment Challenge, and you mentioned it before, and it just, this was, it came out of perfect timing cuz I needed it. It was solar-powered energy first.
Mm-hmm.
Cuz we often think of, I'll do all the things I need to do and then I'll take care of myself. Then we feel depleted and we don't wanna do it. Mm-hmm. Versus when we take care of ourselves first, then we feel good about taking care of ourselves. And then we have the energy to do all the other stuff. And so this is the same thing. Like at the beginning, it feels, you feel guilt and you feel shame for allowing yourself to take that time, be happy. And then when you start seeing that you have more energy, and that's also with the people pleasing aspect of me, like I shifted in instead of pleasing other people first, I pleased myself first. And I was like, oh, I still have plenty of energy to give back. And I choose to give it back, not because I want something back, but actually I want to because I have so much and it feels good and I want to share it.
Yes.
And it's the same thing. It's, it will feel icky. It will feel reluctant. And there will be a whole bunch of thoughts and stories that come up and go do it anyways.
Yes. Yes. You brought up something really, really important, and I have like a visual story of this, and it's the difference between choosing and feeling like you have to. And I remember telling you guys about like, if you feel like you're holding on, like fists closed and clenched, like that's an option. It won't last forever. There's going to come a point where A, you choose to open your hands and receive that abundance, or B, your hands just become so exhausted that you let go anyway. And I was at the park with my daughter, my second oldest, and what are they called? Monkey bars? Like the things that you scale across?
Yeah.
And she'd done it a couple times, and she's— I mean, she's tall, and so she's like, Maybe, I don't know, a foot and a half, maybe 2 feet off the ground. And she'd gone over and down and over and down. And like the third time I was with our son and like, I don't know, 50 feet away from her. And she's like, Mom, help me. Like, I'm stuck. And she just got tired. She got tired in the middle and she's like, I can't get down. I can't get down. And it was that moment that I realized like, this is what it looks like, Tara. This is what it looks like. One of two things is going to happen. She's gonna get exhausted and she's gonna fall, like her grip is gonna release and she's gonna fall, or she's gonna choose to let go and drop the foot and a half and realize that she's safe. And I had this conversation with her, me yelling from like where I was, because by the time I got over there, it was gonna be done anyway. And I just, I'm witnessing this in real life where it's like— The outcome is going to be the same. You're going to hit the ground. You're going to be fine. And either you're going to be tense and it's going to be chosen for you, which is what we do so often in life. So often in life, we wait until it's so uncomfortable that it's exhaustion, it's illness, it's death that makes the choice for us to move. When all along, the outcome is the same if we, if we just release and open into trust and into abundance. And is it going to be the fall? Yes. Like, there's going to be a fall, and you get to decide how you are with that because it's happening for you.
Right.
It's happening for you. And so she ends up letting go. She ends up, you know, dropping to the ground, and she's completely fine. And then she gets back up on the monkey bars to do it again. And I'm like, okay, you know, like the lesson will repeat until the lesson is learned, right? And as her mom and as a coach, so often I want to come over and scoop you up and like gently set you down off of the monkey bars. Like, I don't want you to have to experience the fear that comes Before that letting go. Like, I want to protect you from that. And yet, the greatest gift that she received in that moment was realizing that she would be okay. That yes, she was scared. Yes, it is a long way down. And that by doing it herself, she actually realized she was okay. And then the fear was gone, and she had more energy to go do it again somehow, some way.
Right.
It's like the most amount of energy was spent in that moment of holding on and being scared. Does that resonate?
Yes. Yeah, it does. And the word that came to mind is the resistance, resisting what is, what is. And I mean, you see it, everybody. Yeah. You see it in a day-to-day life. What feels hard is when you resist to it. I want—
I think that you're saying exactly what I'm about to ask is like, you're talking about how you've taken action before you had it all figured out, right? You were taking action before you were ready and trusting that inner knowing and that it's going to work out how it's meant to. Like, land us in a moment, a story from your life where the fear was still loud and what did it look like? When you chose the yes anyway? And, and it could be you're renewing your second year of Defy because we just had that conversation, right?
It was— I, I didn't feel as much fear for Defy. What came up was what could be seen also as a failure, but actually it is a massive learning. I was Trying to figure out where I wanted to live next. And I'd visited Lisbon before. I like it. It's by the water, which I love to be by the water. That's the only downside of the city where I'm in, where it's not by the sea or ocean. And I was like, okay, I'll go and try. And I found myself a place to stay where it was co-living and sharing, and I was supposed to be there for 2 months. And then I was gonna, this was just before I started Defy as well. And I pack everything. I'm taking my suitcase. I had everything sorted for 2 months. I go there. I had no clue, no clue how I was gonna stay, how I was gonna make it work. There were so many doubts and thoughts going on in my head, and I just went for it. I went for it. I figure it out. And also with the life of these decisions, I know I am so resourceful. We are so resourceful. Everybody is extremely resourceful. We don't put ourselves in situations normally where we need to get so resourceful, but we are when we need to do. And I remember 5 weeks in where they come to me because it was an arrangement and they go, actually, we're sorry, but You know, things have changed and we need to ask you to leave. Um, because, and so I find myself not wanting to leave just yet because I'm not ready to go. And I haven't created what I wanted to do in order to stay. And so I find myself going back to France and, and same thing, like so much fear, also disappointment feelings. And I just went with it. Not knowing how, uh, or what would happen next with added also the massive disappointment that I was shaming and guilting a little bit on myself and also knowing what my family would also say from that.
Mm-hmm.
And I felt such a weight, uh, such a weight as well with it. And also, I mean, it was such a gift. I mean, When they came to me and told me that, I, I was, I surrendered to it. There was no resistance.
Mm-hmm.
It was like, and they were saying like, you could be angry, you know, you could be upset. I'm like, to what? Like, what's the point? Like, I, I understand where you're coming from. I mean, it's making me feel a whole bunch of things which are super uncomfortable. Um, but I understand where you're coming from. Do I like it? No, but it's a fact and I'm just gonna go with it and I'm gonna figure it out. And this was a moment where, yeah, it's just all these uncomfortable emotions coming up and just going with it, going like, so, so many deep, heavy emotions at this time. And, and also what I want to share with this was I was so grateful for the work that I've done, the personal development, to be at this level of just like not blaming the world for like what just happened. Because even my family was like trying to understand, like, But it's not fair. They should be able to do this. They shouldn't, like all these like should, shouldn't justifying like fairness and things like that that was coming up. And I was like, it just, it is what it is. And I just move on and I get to be with my feelings and emotions as well.
Yes.
But really proud of myself of just like, I could have made it so much harder on me, but I didn't. Yeah. And that's good. That's very good.
Yes. It brings up this one last question before we go into the yes, the yes and question, right? And I think I'm going to have you do yes and in French and in English. That's a yes and. Yes in English.
And in French.
What has surprised you the most over the last 2 years of taking this work that you have embodied, that supported you through that decision leaving Lisbon, that situation leaving Lisbon, through having those conversations with family? Through navigating so many transitions, what has surprised you the most from doing that for yourself to growing a business around how you're living your life, from living it to teaching it?
My capacity expansion for support, asking for it and allowing myself to receive.
Mm-hmm.
And sharing that also amongst other people, just reflecting of like, yeah, I can do it on myself. Yeah, you can do it on yourself. Of course you can. Every— you're incredibly strong. We all are. We're incredible humans. And you don't have to, and other people want to support you. People want to be there for you. Everybody has their own way of showing support. Um, but people want to be there for you. People want to support you. And so just reaching out, letting people know, and also being able to express how you'd like to be supported.
Mm-hmm.
Sometimes it is a physical, tangible thing, and sometimes it is just like Holding space for you to talk for like 5 minutes, just, you know, stop looping in your head. Um, that expansion has been incredible. And I look at myself just at the beginning when I joined Defy and how much I have reached out to ask for support and also allowed myself to receive it because that was a big one.
Yes.
Of just like no barriers, no justifying, no like reflecting or deflecting, just like I fully receive it. Yeah, that I, but I've never envisioned and I am so grateful for it.
I am so grateful for you as well, and I, I receive. Matt, and just, yeah, like I'm just honored to be able to witness this growth in you and continue to witness this growth in you. I'm so glad we're not even close to being done yet. Okay. The big finale. You ready? Like drum roll.
Yes.
Cara, what is your version of yes, and?
What first came to mind is bold, like audaciously bold and easeful.
Oh my gosh. Bodaciously bold and easeful. Yes. And, ooh, and I love bodacious too.
Like, Yes.
I might, that might be a word that we have in English that we don't have in Spanish or French. So, okay. And in French, what is your definition? What is your version? What is your, uh, yes, and?
My brain's not working there in French. It's a completely different one that comes to mind. It's not making any sense, but I'll share it. It's like grandeur nature et paix interne, inner peace. Like, and grandeur nature has, it's like, I haven't used this in a long time, but like nature scale, like very wide and expansive.
And inner peace. Yeah.
Yes. Yes to that. Always.
Yes. Yes. I love the ability for connection with the energy of these 2 very different languages, you know, and cultures. And everything that— like, I have a full-body tingle, as I shared at the beginning of this episode, just connecting to the cultures and connecting to the expansion when we get out of our boxes and out of our perspectives, and we're willing to have that release and that expansion. So, thank you so much for that and for bringing that and for being you.
Thank you.
And all of the things. This is exactly the kind of conversation that I wanted to have in this episode and on this podcast. So thank you for being here so much, Tara.
Thank you, Bunny. I had lots of fun. And yes, yes to these conversations always. I love these conversations.
If you want to have more conversations with Tara, you can find her on Instagram @wildheartjourney. And I'm going to put the links in the show notes, and you can connect with her directly. You can grab her decision mirror tool. All of that is going to be in the show notes. And then there's something else that's going to be in the show notes for you that I'm inspired to share with you. If you're lit up today, if you heard yourself anywhere in this conversation, which I know you did, I want you to know that what Tara is describing is exactly why we built Defy. And we continue to build this community. It's not my community of unicorns. She's one of the unicorns that continues to add to and grow and cultivate the energy in DEFY. The community, the energy, the strategy, yes, and the inner work that makes the outer work actually work. And the women in that room are doing so many incredible things, Tara included. So— I am going to drop the link to book your very own fit call, just like Tara had described, in the show notes, and we'll send you those details personally once you click the link. Thank you for being here wherever you were listening to Tara and I's conversation. The biggest gift for us is when you share this episode with someone in your life who wants to trust themselves more fully, who wants to have that permission To live the life even when it doesn't make logical sense to everyone around us. So wherever you listen to us, whether you're walking on the beach, whether you're dancing salsa, taking a shower, snuggling your dogs, thank you so much. I love it when you share your takeaways and tag me @thebunnyyoung, tag Tara @wildheartjourney. And as always, yes, and.
