When I started taking responsibility for my life and my decisions, I started to see how I was a freaking adult creating the chaos. And though some of the patterns and beliefs were given to me and, you know, handed down to me from parents and teachers and all this stuff, and then you become an adult and you look at it and you're like, wait a second, that's not mine. And you learn how to discern between what's theirs and what's yours. And what have you taken on and what burdens are you carrying that are not yours? I'm not doing that anymore. That's not mine.
Hello and welcome back. My name is Bunny Young, serial entrepreneur, retired stuntwoman, mother of 3 beautiful kids, and builder of a life I don't need to escape from. Welcome back to the Yes And podcast. This season, we're diving even deeper with incredible women who are breaking barriers, building empires, and designing lives and companies their way. And that's why today I've brought on Miss Kelly Moore. And here's the bio, guys. Like, I'm going to give you the behind the scenes of this. Kelly co-founded Soul Fire Productions, and before this, Kelly spent over a decade as an Emmy-winning— Emmy Award-winning sports television host, navigating the intense world of media while managing her own personal journey of self-discovery and healing. Yes, that's all true. And here's like the record scratch. Bunny Young's version. Kelly is one of the most resilient motherfuckers you are ever going to meet, not because of everything in her bio, but because of her inherent knowledge in the incredible things that she is here on this planet to do, to teach, and to support other women in embodying. She is a badass who knew that walking away from a high-profile career, prioritizing her health, and stepping boldly into the unknown with a mushroom tattoo between her boobs was not a choice. It was a calling to create a life and career aligned with her deepest fucking truth. We have cried together, we have laughed together, we have done drugs together, and I fucking love you, Kelly. Welcome to the Yes And Podcast.
Oh my God. And now you have been hired as my publicist. Wow. That's my favorite bio, literally. And I'm not just saying that because I love you and you're one of my best friends, but that's literally what the best bio of all time. So thanks. It is a joy to be with you. You are truly the best.
I would question whether or not you bring out the worst in me because I think this is what you do. Like, I think you, You're like, you're so good at rewilding. You're so good at bringing us back to like this inner attunement of freedom. I have watched you so painfully and beautifully melted into your chrysalis and come out the other side. And it's like, it's, if when we met, I would've told you that you were this badass and that you gave no Fs to what anybody else thought about you. And then this year in February, you and I had this conversation where I realized like you were just getting started. So I, I wanna start a little bit with identity. You burned the shit down a couple times, just a few times in the past decade. Like how many times do you think that you've really had to go through that journey of melting down and becoming something new?
Yeah, I mean, I just turned 37 and I think probably 5 or 6 times. 3 really big times, probably 4 actually, is like quitting, leaving volleyball because of chronic illness, then healing from chronic illness, which, you know, turned my world upside down, then leaving a 14-year television career, and then selling my company, and then also becoming a mother. So I don't know, how many is that? 5 right there.
Yeah. What does it feel like for you when you know it's time?
I want to crawl out of my fucking skin. Like, I want to claw my eyes out. My skin, it just feels like my meat suit hurts. It's not comfortable to be in the meat suit anymore. And I just, I find that I don't fit, and I'm just like trying to fit, and it just feels really janky, and nothing's working, and nothing's right, and my heart and my soul are unwell. Yeah, that's what it feels like.
I feel like my experience going through this with you is that I feel like it gets more painful and like less ignorable.
I've been talking a lot lately about listening to the whispers of your soul, and I think when you don't listen to the whispers, they become screams and it becomes so painful. And that's, that's kind of what every transition has felt like, just to a different degree. I want to give myself credit for my 19-year-old self who had to walk away from volleyball you know, whether by choice or forced out by the medical system. I want to give myself credit, but I was a very unaware, not awake person at that time still. I was still very much like just doing what I was told and living the way I was supposed to live. And I don't feel like I had the tools and resources then, but I was willing to do hard things. And I, I always have been willing to do the hard things and throw me a challenge and I will conquer it. I will climb the mountain. I will get the gold star. I will do all the things. The difference between that version of me and the one who sold Soul Fire and that pain and discomfort was my tools and resources and my maturity and my, my life experience. So I feel like I approached it so differently. And yes, it was painful, and you were on the phone for some of the most painful moments of that experience, but I also knew how to ask for help. Yeah, like, I didn't do that before. I just like went on my merry way and finished college and went right into television and just continued to suffer.. And I've learned how to ask for help. I've learned how to be vulnerable. I've learned how to not need to be perfect and have all my shit together and, and, um, people please and understand that it's all temporary. And though it does feel so painful and it feels, it truly feels like a death cuz it is a death. Mm-hmm. And I also know I can do it and I will land on my feet and I will be okay. And that it's all for the greater good. I did not have any of that awareness back then. I was just like, I feel like this is what I have to do and what I'm supposed to do, and so I'm gonna do it.
Do you feel like there's a piece where there's this addiction to the hard?
Oh yeah, literally, yes. It's so funny you say that, Bunny Young.
I would know nothing about that. I can't see you at all right now. I think you and I have a love-hate relationship with talking to each other.
Oh my God. Well, for the record, Bunny scared the shit out of me before I actually like met her. She's the only woman in my life that is taller than me. That never happens. I'm 6'1", so it's like very rare. I was so scared, but the most important women in my life and my greatest cheerleaders and my greatest supporters have started that way, which I find to be so hilarious. So thank you for just making me uncomfortable as fuck because it's just such a gift you have. And I mean that in the nicest way possible.
I receive that in the best. Way possible. Um, my question was the addiction to the heart.
I have been reading a lot lately because I've really sort of shut down the doing in my life, and I'm just sort of being and in study and very, um, being my very introverted self, and I'm really enjoying that. I'm reading the Gene Keys book. Yeah, I just read The Greatest Secret a couple weeks ago. Highly recommend, um, if you feel called. But A lot of it is about being addicted to the hard and the chaos and not understanding that we have this ability to create and attract ease into our lives and become and live into the magnetism that creates that. And I have always like, oh, it needs to get done, I'll fucking get it done. Like, let me force this, let me make it happen. And I did that in so many areas of my life for so many years. And I, I mean, you have 3 kids, I have 1, I'm trying to have another right now, and I'm fucking tired, okay? I don't have the energy to like go for shit and make shit happen. I was up at 3:45 this morning, you know, I'm on my 3rd cup of coffee. Like, we don't have time or energy for that, that energy anymore. And so what does it look like? And I just feel like I'm in this renegotiation with my operating system of creating peace and ease and flow, and that being my mantra and also the way I approach my everyday. Because I am not willing to be in that masculine hustle and make shit happen anymore. Like, it's not fun, it doesn't feel good in my system, and it's also just not sustainable, especially as a mom.
Yeah. What is so interesting about this journey is that for the longest time I was invited into that ease and that flow and that abundance and that more feminine way. And my argument was, but my way works. The hard way works. The overdeveloped masculine way. I don't mean— and I know you know this, but for those of you listening, I don't mean like man-woman, but the masculine way of forcing, of penetrating, of getting shit done, of it has to be hard. Like there has to be a struggle and a grind and a hustle. And I think we're coming out of that as a collective. And when it comes to entrepreneurship, in business. And I feel like there's also like this oversubscribed, like you need to DM people like 40 people a day in order to have your business hit $100,000 months. And I'm gonna like 180 this into personal if that's okay.
Yeah, please.
I feel like it really messed with my fertility. I feel like, you know, I had 10 miscarriages and I will not forget sitting at the office with my husband when we were talking about like doing IVF and all this kind of stuff. And my husband just said this really, like, honestly. And I think I just love him so much because even though he's my single-celled organism, like, he also can be so honest and so simple at times. And he's like, she doesn't have an issue getting pregnant, she has an issue maintaining the pregnancy, staying pregnant. And I was like, oh, like, I, I can be feminine, I can go on a date night, I can put a dress on But maintaining that harmonization, that balance of receiving consistently in my business and in my life, my conditioning wanted to say I worked hard with my coach on that, but it was super uncomfortable work that I did in order to move from it needs to be hard in order for me to have this level of success and in order for me to succeed to I'm safe to receive that abundance. Like there's this really, for me, there was this really uncomfortable part where you turn down all the noise and you're stuck with yourself. And who are you if you're not doing, and if you're not making shit happen, and if you're not creating wealth, and if you're not doing all the things? I, I looked in the mirror one day and was like, oh, hi, who are you? And who are you outside of mom, wife, business owner? And I'm not saying that that's the reason that we got pregnant. I'm just saying that it— I feel like it was more of an energetics than it was a medical thing for me. And when I started being able to receive, everything shifted in my life, in my business, and in the aspect that, you know, we had another baby. And that's why I think it's so ironic that he's a boy. I only thought I could, I could do girls. I know it's not my thing, but I just thought, oh, how ironic that I lean into my feminine and I'm, I'm holding more of that receiving, that abundant, that ease nature, and then I give birth to a boy.
Yeah, I, um, thank you for sharing that, and I agree wholeheartedly, and that has been so much of my experience. So I started the, the conversation around selling the company in February and March, and then it, it went through in April, and then I stayed on as a consultant until Halloween. Oh, the meltdown that ensued Halloween weekend because I was left with what felt like nothing. And I was like, now who am I? I have no title, I have no company, I have no thing to go be at, no one, no client is requiring anything of me. And I created an entire company and ecosystem that revolved around me because that's what I needed at that time. And I let it go because I no longer wanted or needed that. But it left me with myself and it was so uncomfortable. The amount of rage I experienced that weekend was so aggressive because I think that I had, I had just been avoiding myself through my company for 4 and a half years, along with IVF, being pregnant, a really traumatic birth, really bad postpartum depression, We went through another IVF treatment this year that failed. It was just like thing after thing that I was distracting myself from me and hiding within that. And so then you peel all these things back and I'm left with no pregnancy and no company. And I'm like, well, now what do I do? And so I, I started to like, I gotta do this, I gotta do that. I got— and I was just I was already over it before it started because I realized like, I'm tired and I am tired of distracting myself and avoiding myself and dancing around this thing. I need to be with me and I need to go into this personal excavation and this peace and this melting and questioning like, what am I doing? Why am I here? What's the point? I was avoiding that stuff for so long and The amount of peace and connection to myself that I feel now, just what, a month and a half later, by allowing that to happen is unbelievable. Yeah. But I had to go there and be willing to go there.
And you're just getting started too, right? Because like, it's almost like flirting with your set point again. Am I, am I gonna go back? And I've done this after selling companies or shutting companies down. Like I've done this where I'm like, oh, I'm good. I'm actually healthy enough to like bring this back into the world. But man, it's a slippery slope.
Mm-hmm.
I just appreciate your awareness around that, and I appreciate all of the times that you reach out and that you're open to having the conversation. You're open to having the mirror held for you. And I think that that's, that is not the average bear response. Defensiveness and anger is normally what I experienced when somebody just knocks on the window and is like, hey, you good? You sure you're gonna repeat the same cycle and smash your head against the wall again and expect a different result?
I think that I'm really brave. I know I'm really brave. I've done really hard things. I've been through some shit. I make brave choices and I'm willing to be uncomfortable because I know what it's like to lie for 27 years in order to be who people— who you think people want you to be, in order to fit in, in order to achieve. And to live this double life, to not feel like it's right, but to not know what else to do. And I've just gotten to this point. It's not that I don't give any fucks. I actually give quite a few fucks, but about things that actually matter to me, that are aligned with my values. I don't care about the things that people tell me to care about because it's just, those things don't matter to me. And so I've been able to let a lot of things go and realign with who I truly am at my core and what I know to be true. And I think that that's the thing that sets me apart from most people. I, I'm willing to fail, fall on my face, be uncomfortable, not know what's next, because I know that living the way I did for so long, it will kill me. Clearly something is not aligned because this— nothing feels good. I looked in the mirror one day at Dodger Stadium and I was like, who 'Who is that? How did she get here?' Like, there was just such a mismatch. So I feel like I've just shifted so much more into myself and deepening within and being willing to not know what's next and just listening to the call and being willing to answer it even when it doesn't make sense.
Does being brave mean that you have to get through hardship? I want there to be a very clear point where you detach from the meat suit story that you've had up until now. And in this embodiment, this version of you that you're carrying moving forward, that is 6 weeks old, that's not addicted to the hard— does she, they have the same definition of bravery? That bravery means getting through hard shit.
So 100%. I believe that bravery in who I have been in the past, um, in this old version of me, was addicted to 'I gotta get over hard things and look at me, I'm so special,' or whatever. To me, being brave is being willing to just be yourself. I don't think that means you get over something hard. I think it's It feels like the willingness to land fully in your body and be present. And though it's uncomfortable at times, continually coming back to center and who you are. That's what bravery feels to me like now.
That's like such an evolved answer that I think that it'll probably take a couple times listening to that to like really create that definition of bravery, because to me it's a frequency. And, and from this evolved point of my life, having survived rape, having survived, you know, heart conditions, also having two near-death births, I look at all of that. And when I hear people share like 8, 9, 10 incredibly hard things in their bio, or that, you know, I've lived through this and so I must be special. My, my evolved self goes, you survived life's curriculum. Did you learn though? Because that's what impresses me. Those are my people, or my, my beings, my spiritual beings, which is why you and I have that frequency. It's because like when I hear you, when I'm hearing like 8, 9, 10 things, what's going on in my head is like, life's continuing to bring you curriculum. And you're surviving it, and kudos for that. That takes a lot of resilience. Did you learn? That's like the yes and of, of Earth School. It's like, yes, it takes an incredible amount of fortitude, of bravery, of courage, and what you do next means such a different thing for your life than who you are prior to that thing. And I just want to mirror to you, and I hope that this lands for the listeners too, that you don't have to go through fucking hell to bring heaven on earth. Like, you are an incredible being in my life, not because of what you've been through, not because you survived that, but because of who you gave yourself permission to be today. Now, not because you know, you went through a miscarriage, because that's just parts of our story, right? But it's because you didn't allow that miscarriage to stop you from bringing your, your wonder into this world.
Thank you.
Is that landing?
Yeah, it does. I mean, I just think that hard things happen— capital T, lowercase t— trauma, whatever it is. I don't know anyone who hasn't been through something. Are you allowing it to be your identity? And for most of the time I had chronic illness, which was 14 fucking years, I was very sick. I would go be on television, like Dodger Stadium, live on the field, millions of viewers, ESPN, traveling all over the country. And then I'd go home and I want to die. And for a long time I was so wrapped up in the identity of being sick and it was important to me and it got me attention and it was like this chaos that I loved and I didn't know. But I look back and I'm like, there are so many things in my life that I look at when I was young and I was unaware that I was just so addicted to having that identity and perpetuating that. And so I made decisions that attracted more chaos into my life. When I started taking responsibility for my life and my decisions, I started to see how I was a freaking adult creating the chaos. And though some of the patterns and beliefs were given to me and, you know, handed down to me from parents and teachers and all this stuff when you're little and you're just not aware, and then you become an adult and you look at it and you're like, wait a second, that's not fucking mine. And you learn how to discern between what's theirs and what's yours. And what have you taken on and what burdens are you carrying that are not yours? And I made these like really fast decisions. I'm not doing that anymore. That's not mine. And my life drastically changed. But the problem and the issue that I see in myself and in many people that come to me and ask for advice is they are not willing to take responsibility. They are not willing to change their circumstances by changing the way they're showing up and the way they're responding. I think that it's not that you and I are like better than people, but I think the reason you and I resonate is because we both have taken responsibility for what we can and say, okay, so that happened, and how am I going to show up now? Because that's not my story, and we're not attaching to that, and that's not where we're going.
Yeah.
So what needs to change and shift, whether it's an energy, a frequency, the food we're eating, asking for help, the people we surround ourselves with, the companies that we're running. It doesn't matter. What is it that needs to shift so that I can align to the highest version of myself that is not attached to all this bullshit?
Yeah. And so it doesn't matter if you're an executive at a Fortune 500 company, and I've coached plenty of them, you know, or you're a billionaire, like you're a solopreneur. You're a professional athlete. Like, wherever you go, there you are. And so you can align with your stories and allow that, allow your experiences to build your identity, or you can allow your identity to build your experiences.
Yes.
I, I have one other thing that I think is, I'm hoping is gonna be this beautiful conversation in the aspect of you totally effed me up last year in a conversation that we had. Because one of my favorite things to do are these live experiences and especially doing them for female entrepreneurs and female coaches. And so doing this experience for the Work-Life Alignment Challenge is 5 days of me going live and me holding. And we had a conversation afterwards and you knocked on my window and was basically like, you weren't magical. This is what I heard, not what you said. And I immediately was so grateful because I felt like for the longest time I had to, to even like with some of the podcast episodes from season 1, it's like I have to dial the Bunny down in order to reach the people, like in order to hear the message. And what I came away from this and it really amplified, you're gonna be so proud of, I know you're already proud of me, but you're gonna be so proud of how the work has come out of me because I just met with a curriculum designer trainer to bring a holistic business accelerator rather than business. And, and I know that you already saw this, but for me, I didn't see it yet. I didn't see that I'd been hiding behind business coaching. The business is like a part of this thing that I've done. You, you're the first person to tell me like how fucking amazing I am at business, and I receive that and I appreciate that. And if you were to create my bio for a podcast, it wouldn't be about business. It would be about the magic that led me to be really good at business. And so as I had this conversation with this curriculum designer, what came through me is like, I'm a transformational coach for female business leaders, female leaders. I'm not a business coach. Like, I'm fantastic at spreadsheets, and you and I know from our conversations that I can negotiate the crap out of business. That the transformation is my magic. And so I wanted to bring that full circle because as I'm planning the Work-Life Alignment Challenge, what I want everybody to hear is like, the thing didn't change. It was about the energy and the beingness. And when you take the, the guardrails off of like, I have to fit in this box in order for people to, to not be turned off or to get it and to turn down this dial, it just gave me so much permission last week. I've never had the words and I still don't have the words to describe what it is that is my life's work here doing on this planet. DEFY, this 12-month holistic business accelerator, is the closest that I've come to bringing my life's work and my tools and my experience and creating— rather than creating a program, creating a course, or creating a thing to sell, I created a space A space to have more conversations like you and I have had, and more conversations and a space to wake up to, you are not your business, your business works for you. And so I don't know that I got the full message of what you were trying to tell me last year, but I think I'm, I'm starting, I, I think I've got 10% at this point.
I mean, first of all, I have chills. Second, I am so proud of you. I'm always proud of you. You're amazing. You are truly like one of the most magnificent, powerful changemakers I've ever met in my entire life. And I experienced such a small version of you in that live, and I was like, I don't really recognize her. I don't know who she's trying to be right now. It felt like you were trying to be someone, not like you were just being you.
Yeah.
And, you know, spreadsheets and all, that's wonderful. And, you know, you helped me so much in, in the sale of the company and understanding what to do, um, which is a huge reason I called you. I was like, I literally don't know anyone who would even know where to begin with this. But it was the, the space you held for me to feel safe and the questions you asked that brought me back to myself. That is what I appreciated and took so much from. Like, I hear you in my ear all the time, like, as I'm making decisions for what is next, and I'm still unraveling and unlearning and getting clear. I mean, I remember you were like, what do you want? And I started saying all these things, and you were like, yeah, that's really cool. I love that you want great things for your husband and your daughter, but you have not said one thing that you want for yourself. I was like, holy shit, like, I, I never realized that. Yeah. And you're so good at seeing people in their patterns and just illuminating it, and you do it with such fierceness but also such kindness. And I just, I felt so honored to be supported by you and It's truly such a gift to witness other women in their magic. Yeah, because it turns me on. And you could say that in a sexual way. Yeah, but you— it truly, it like literally turns me on. It flips the switch and I'm like, you are an embodied, living, breathing example of what's possible. And that's so important to see because most of us didn't have that growing up, and many women don't have that in their circles. And so sometimes the only place you can find that is online. And when you see one woman turn on and then another turn on, another turn on, you're like, holy shit, what's happening? That is why I am where I am today, is because I surrounded myself and I put myself in rooms with women like you, and it changed me. It literally changed me. I came out of my shell and I saw myself for the first time through all of your eyes. Yeah, that is the magic.
You know what's so interesting about that is when you called me, you didn't know you were going to sell the company, but you knew you were going to sell the company because it's like you did send out the bad signal. Like, you came to me. So I want to hold the mirror for you. In everything that you said, I receive, and I receive so deeply, and I am you. And so your power was manifesting and summoning the archetype in your subconscious. And I asked you if you had thought about what was possible, because at that moment, in that present moment, the trauma response was, I'm bad and burn it all down. I have to either continue to be in pain and suffer in order to make my team safe, or I disappoint everybody and create safety for me. And you manifested the sacred third. And so I just wanna make sure that you hold that space for you in the aspect that you never called me to sell the company. Your soul called for a sacred third. And you manifested a being that would hold that safe space for that sacred third. And I think that that is so much of what I have now created Defy to be, is that sacred space for you to create your most optimal outcome instead of this priest prescribed, send 40 DMs a day and you'll get $100K. I think being a therapist and retiring from being a therapist, I'm seeing the codependency created in the coaching space and it makes me sick. And what I desire to do is to evoke others' power in bringing their gifts to the world. And you and I do that for each other and we do it for our clients. And that's just such a powerful alchemy in our relationship. And I see it so cleanly. And so I, I do wanna make sure that, you know, when you gave me that feedback, it was such a gift. It— the first thing that happened was it triggered my, like, I disappointed you. And I got to be with that little version of me that was like, okay, if it's, if it's not true that you disappointed her, because I, I know that that's not true, what is this? What is this driving you towards? And not out of a fear of I don't want to disappoint Kelly again, you know, because if that was true, I don't think I'd, I'd ask you to be a part of this year. Um, but I'm actually like anticipating what it's going to look like to be witnessed in this current highest version of myself. And then I also look in the mirror being like, oh, that's what your babe's doing too. Like, you're creating spaces for you to be witnessed in your highest version of yourself, not to sell, but to serve and to inspire. It's so beautiful to be here at this moment on this floating rock with you, um, and be able to share that and bring that to the world. And so For the community that is listening, that wants to see your mushroom tattoo and wants to connect further, like, I guess I wanna ask like, what's next? What do you see for what's happening next? I just shared a little bit about what was next for me.
Yeah. We are going into our third round of IVF and I'm really excited to be pregnant again and I'm really enjoying motherhood. My deepest longing is to help women remember who they are and open those portals with them for them to walk through. And I don't have clarity on what that is in this moment. I have ideas and I have pieces, but for me, the most important thing is to be present for my daughter and to be in my relationship with my husband and continue to grow closer with him, um, and then create space and quiet for me to settle deeper into myself so that when the time comes that I'm ready to hold space for others, I feel full and come from that place. And I am very much in study and like in a lot of spiritual growth right now. And I feel a deep call to write, so I've been writing a lot. And that's it. I'm not attached to like what any of that means. It's just where I'm just going, where I'm feeling called right now, and that feels really good. And I'm microdosing a lot of mushrooms, and it's really magical. And so if anyone listening has questions about that, I'm very, very passionate about microdosing and working with plant medicine in a healthy and safe way. Um, so if you have questions, I love answering questions about that in the DMs because one of the ways that I have come back to myself and remembered who I am is through mushrooms.
So I have like a random personal question, but do you— how do you choose when to IVF? Is it astrological? Um, and you're, you're dosing all the way through, right?
Uh, you mean microdosing through pregnancy? Um, I don't know. I did a couple times when I was pregnant with Ro and I had some good experience and I had some not so great experience. And I think that the hard thing with IVF is I'm on hormones through 11 weeks of pregnancy plus the normal hormones. So it's a lot for my body. So I'm just gonna see how I feel. I, I microdosed all through breastfeeding and all of that. Like, I feel very close and, and have deep reverence with and for the plants, and I've, you know, worked with them before that. So I— it feels really safe and good to me.
Yeah.
But I chose our transfer date based on the Pattern app. Okay. Do you know the Pattern?
No.
Oh my God, Bunny Young, let me fuck you up really quick. Everyone listening to this, download— it's called the Pattern. It shows you whatever cycles you're in based on your birth date, time, birthplace, all of that. So it is astrologically driven and birth chart driven, but you can also match with people. So if you join, you and I can see each other. I can see what cycles you're in.. And then we can see like all the ways we work together, the ways we trigger each other, similar patterns we have. You can do it with your husband. I have mine with Connor, obviously. And I'm in like a complete shitstorm until our transfer date. Like I'm in the finding myself, stepping into my purpose. Like it could not be more just kind of chaos in my astrology, which is fine. Like I feel that and That's great. But then things really open up and I think I step into like adventure unfolds and like there's a lot more clarity and peace in, in, in all of that. And so that's why I chose it. It felt really opening to me. It felt really clear. And I also wanted to just feel good for a couple months after the last one because the hormones wreck me. And I just, I really wanted to like have a fun holiday season with my kid and like be really present and feel very in my body.
I'm. On it right now.
Oh girl, I can't wait to match with you. It's so cool.
Speaking of all of that, if people don't want to have an encrypted conversation with you, how can they follow along your journey and, um, just connect with your energy? And, and like, the one thing that I'm gonna say as you think about the response to that— not that you need to think about it— is it's so beautiful to have somebody on my podcast that has nothing to offer and everything to offer. In the aspect that Kelly, you know, is not currently selling a product. Um, it's so beautiful because she's living her life. And yeah, she has like affiliate links that she'll share as far as with her journey and her healing. But I think that this—
this—
I don't think— this is such an incredibly magical time to follow her and to be in her orbit because you're watching real time as she recommits to herself and her healing journey and what's working and what's not. And she shares all of that really transparently on her Instagram stories. She also um, has a newsletter as well. And so it's interesting to me as I'm in your life and in your world and messaging you in real time to then read the behind the scenes of how you're processing this journey. And I think that when you're saying you're writing a lot, like, I see the book in your emails.
Yeah, I think, um, sometimes I get in my head and I think, well, most people just show the end result and like the pretty version and who they, who they are at the end of, you know, this long, crazy journey. And I, I don't get a lot from that. And I, you know, ever since I left TV and I, you know, subconsciously committed to being real and true and honest in the process, that's what feels really good to me. And that's also what lights me up in other people. And I just think that, you know, we see a lot of highlight reels. But what does that actually do for us other than set us into this comparison trap and this spiral of feeling not good enough? I think it's so important to remember, you know, I've worked with New York Times bestselling authors and multi-millionaires and people who are selling everything out and crushing this and doing that, and on the side they're literally melting down, wanting to burn it all to the ground, messaging me to talk about it. Not that I'm special, I'm just saying I am experiencing both versions of people. And what most people don't realize is that there, there are 2 different things happening, usually, if not, you know, a multitude of them. And we just don't get to see them in the process. And that's fine, everyone gets to do what they want to do. But it's important to me to share what's coming up because this is the human experience. We are souls having a human experience, and we're— no one has it all figured out. And so I think it's so important for people like us to share as we're learning and what's coming up and what books are lighting us up and what's— what is calling us further into ourselves and home. And so that's where I come from. And right or wrong, I don't know, but it's what feels good to me and it's the way I choose to show up. So if you want to come along for that journey and maybe a book at the end of it, then, you know, fucking jump on this train, baby.
So thank you so much for being here. And like, this was just an incredible— from, from, if you go back to season 1, Kelly and I did a podcast episode on season 1 that was so good. It was so fire. And I just feel like this is 8,000 times different and better and for so many different reasons. And so thank you so much for, for being here.
Thank you. I love you. You are just such a gem and I feel so honored and grateful to be loved by you.
I receive all of that. And for those of you that have gotten this far in the episode, it's because this is the medicine and these conversations, to be willing to like cross that line and hold this space in the sacred space is just such such a gift. And so yeah, thank you for doing that. And if this was medicine for you, it would mean the world to me, it would mean the world to Kelly, for you to share this episode. As well as, we see this, I see the Yes And Podcast as a conversation. So drop into my DMs, have a conversation, let me know what you took away, what we can create more of in these conversations. Tell me it was too much. I wanna, I wanna hear all of it. Tell me where you listen to this, if this was a good shower podcast. You know, there's different podcasts that you tune in for different parts of your life. And, um, share it with somebody else. Like, I wanna, I wanna see the downloads. I wanna see the subscriptions. Of course, what means the most to me is the organic sharing of this space, because that's why I'm here. That's why I'm sitting down and recording these podcasts. That's why I'm sharing the behind the scenes of these conversations with my friends. And Kelly's like such a gift in that, to be willing to really come in and share the deepest parts of her life and her journey. So that's where I'm gonna leave you for today. Until the next episode of the Yes And Podcast, thank you so much for being here, and I'm your host, Bunny Young.
