Jesse Rogers shows a scalping strategy that uses the first 5-minute candle at market open. Mark the high and low, switch to a 1-minute chart, wait for a break and a fair value gap, then enter with a 2:1 risk-to-reward target and stop at the breakout candle.

There is one candle that I use to scalp every single day and it is so stupid simple that I can count on it more than anything that I've ever traded in my nine year trading career. And chances are if you're not consistent then your strategy just isn't stupid simple enough. But that changes. Right now. This is called the first candle rule and all you need in order to execute is the first five minute candle of the day. Here is how it works. Each day at the 9:30am Open, we mark out the high and the low of the first five minute candle and then we drop to the one minute chart where we look for a break. Now we're going to look for a very specific behavior. Since the highest amount of volume in the entire day is in the first five minutes. What we want to see is a pattern to confirm who is in control of the market. And that pattern is a fair value gap. After you see a fair value gap, you're going to be able to enter the market going alongside the fair value gap, putting your stop loss at the candle that broke out of the range and you target a fixed 2 to 1 risk to reward. No overthinking, no, no over complicating. Just repeating one stupid simple strategy every single day. Now if this video helped you comment yes and I'll dm you my full trading strategy right now.
