The Point of Control on a volume profile isn't a support or resistance level, even though traders treat it that way. Price gets choppy there because too many people cluster around it. Wait for price to break outside the value area to find the explosive moves.

You're probably using this volume profile level wrong. The point of control. Now this is just the area where the most volume was traded, but I see a lot of people treat it like support or resistance, and this results in them getting chopped up. And here's why. Because if everybody was trading at this level, then everybody wants to defend their positions at this level. And trust me, the best trades never happen where everybody thinks it's going to. So instead, wait until we get outside of the value area to look for trades. Whether that be reversals or continuations. This is where the most explosive moves happen. If you don't believe me, save this and then go study it on your charts. You'll see very quickly that I'm correct. Correct.
