A short YouTube video/transcript by Jesse Rogers explaining a method for trading consolidations (price ranges). Rogers advises waiting for price to sweep one side of the range and then waiting for a solid reversal confirmation before entering the opposing trade (example: after a sweep of the range low, enter a short when reversal is confirmed). The clip ends with a call-to-action inviting viewers to join his free weekly analysis community via DM.

You see, right now, price is neutral. It's neither bearish nor bullish. It's trading within a range. And when this happens, 90% of traders will bet on what will happen next. Will price go up or will price go down? And this way of thinking causes them to get stopped out. But let me show you how to profitably trade consolidations using a simple trick. Now, as Price traded on, it first took out the range low and then it traveled back inside the range by closing below this series of consecutive up close candles. And this right here is the trick. See, unlike 90% of traders who held a bias inside a consolidation, we were simply waiting. We waited for Price to first sweep one side of the range so we could then target the opposing side. And then we simply waited for a solid confirmation that Price was indeed reversing. This means that we can now safely enter a short and let Price displace lower, putting profit in our pockets.
