This Is Why Daily Bias Fails You.

Jesse Rogers explains why relying on daily bias ruins trading. He shows a mechanical approach using previous-day highs and lows, session levels, and 15-minute price reactions instead. A short entry example demonstrates waiting for structure breaks and fair value gaps before committing.

Daily subjectivity is killing your trading because this is a weekly candle and here's how it traded on the daily chart. Clearly you can see that we formed a bullish order block and price is wanting to go up and seeing this makes it easy to think that the next candle is going to be bullish. This would then make you go into the day thinking to only look for longs. But then what happens? Price opens up and it trades slightly lower like you'd expect. But instead of really bouncing, it just continues to go lower. And this leaves most traders stuck and confused. But let's rewind. Now here we're on the same daily chart again, but instead let's try with a more mechanical trading approach. We won't try to predict what the day is going to do before it happens and instead we just mark out the previous day's high and the previous day's low and then we would drop down to a 15 minute time frame and mark out the highs and the lows of the Asia and London session. Now, whenever New York opens at 9:30am, we're not going to try to predict what the day is going to do before it happens, but but instead we're going to wait and see the reaction at one of these levels. On this specific day, Price traded into the London low. But instead of giving a reversal, Price barely reacts and shows the intention to keep trading lower. As you can see here, it swept a high and then break structure to the downside, creating a fair value gap. Now what's different about this day is since we're not trading with a bias, we can clearly see what's likely to happen. And we place our sell limit and enter a short and take it to the previous day's low.
