Jesse Rogers shows a three-step shorting strategy: wait for price to hit the previous session's high or low, watch for reversals or a fail flip to the next level, then use trailing stops instead of fixed profit targets. The approach works on daily timeframes.

Follow these three steps to easily identify any trade entry. Step one is you wait for price to hit into a time based level. This means that price has traded into the high or low of the previous session or the previous day. And then step number two is not to look only for reversals. And this is the mistake that keeps most ICT traders unprofitable. But instead you watch to see is price showing signs of a reversal and if it is, then sure take it. But if it's not, then you will look for a fail flip which is what happens when a level fails and you'll look to trade to the next time based level. Finally, step number three, which is the most important one, you wait until the price hits your target and you don't take profits. What you'll use is something called price weighting where you trail your stop up to the candle before the one that hit your take profit and you keep trailing your stops in this manner. That way you're able to get a higher risk reward than you would if you had just taken the trade at the take profit.
