In this personal, inspirational video, Charlotte Friedburg shares a recent encounter while walking her dog in South Florida: she discovers an unusually large, whole snake shed skin. Using this vivid observation, she draws a metaphorical parallel between a snake shedding its skin and individuals shedding outdated beliefs, self‑judgment, and past actions. Charlotte emphasizes that, like snakes, we have the free will to let go of negative mindsets at any moment, adopting a fresh, positive outlook continuously rather than only occasionally. She reflects on her own evolving relationship with snakes—initial fear turned to fascination through supporting her son’s interest—and invites viewers to reflect on their own growth, leave comments, and share how the analogy resonates with them.

Hi there, it's Charlotte Friedburg here. I recently moved to a new area where I'm surrounded with a preserve, and I live in still South Florida, even though a little bit more north than where I used to. So there's a lot of wildlife where I live, and this video I was thinking about sharing how we grow and evolve and how important it is to not be stuck with who we were yesterday or what we tried to do, what we didn't do, and judge ourselves for that. And I wanted to share a little experience that made me be inspired to record this video for you. And that was about yesterday when I walked my dog Macy. I suddenly— she pulled me in the direction she wanted to check out this water meter. They are in the ground here, and when I then looked, I noticed there was this skin from a snake that it had shed. I don't know if you've ever seen those kind of skins. I took a picture, so I, I shared that on my, um, on my Facebook profile yesterday. And this one here was pretty big, pretty big, very I learned to have a relaxed, relaxed relationship with snakes, but my youngest son likes snakes, and from supporting him in getting a snake, I learned a lot about snakes. So I'm not terrified of them as I used to be, um, so I kind of find it fascinating. And I could tell this was a healthy snake, and because the whole skin, it was just whole, and I'm telling you, it was long. Um, it was curved up. Yeah, you can find, you can find the picture in my Facebook profile from yesterday if I have not shared it wherever you watch this video. But one thing I just wanted to— and I know you already know, sometimes we need reminders— is to remind you, and sometimes I remind you need reminders myself that as snakes grow, they shed that layer. And maybe they also do because they just like— we, we lose skin every day, and so do they, just do it in a different way. I'm not that much an expert here, but let's just use this as an analogy as As we grow out of who we were, we can let go of our old actions, our old beliefs about who we were and who we think we were. Are we ready? Are we not ready? And let that go and then move on in life, just like a snake, with a new fresh mindset, a new fresh skin. Like you take a shower and you put lotion on and you move on with the day. We You can choose to do that, not just once a month or once a year or once a week, but every single moment. Shake off the moment before where you might have done a mistake or you have caught yourself in thinking like something negative about yourself, which our brain is very good at, right? Very good at. We have the ability and the free will and the brain to support us to make a decision any moment to shed off the past and move on with a fresh new mindset. That's just what I wanted to talk about and share with you. So again, it's Charlotte Freeburg here, and let me know if you were inspired by this or what you might have been reminded— I have been like reminded of, oh yeah, I can use that, or this is what I want to shake off today. Um, Yep, so please leave a comment, and I believe in you. Bye for now!
