In this personal monologue, the speaker recounts waking up feeling defeated, grieving, and pressured, prompting a self‑inquiry about immediate needs. Recognizing a need to meditate, they return to a practice that previously helped them heal chronic pain and align with their inner self. After meditating, they journal and share insights: the importance of recognizing oneself as a spirit inhabiting a body, the heaviness that comes from living "outside‑in" versus the freedom of living "inside‑out," and the value of pausing to listen to inner authority when life feels heavy. The speaker encourages listeners to identify their own grounding tools, trust inner sensations, and act on that guidance, using a brief anecdote about a snake and a pet named Macy as a light moment.

Hey there! This morning I woke up and I felt defeated in a way. I felt grief and I felt pressure and I did not want to get out of bed. So I asked myself, what do, what do you really need right now? And the answer was clear: meditate. And meditation is not something I've done for a while. I used to do it for many years with great results in many ways. Not just that I started feeling— I got home in myself. I started living more aligned. I healed some pain doctors had said I would have to live with for the rest of my life. So I know the value and positive impact meditation can have, but I also, I have found other ways to ground myself, to come home. This morning was meditation, and I did it, and after I started journaling and I thought I would share with you what came through in my writing today, a little bit, um, but main thing, main thing is that reminder that we are not just this body we live in. We are a spirit, a soul. Oops, that was a snake. Macy saw it too. We are a spirit living in this body, and when we try and live our life from outside in— let me see if I can find some shade so you can see my eyes— if we try and live from the outside in instead of the inside out, Life can feel really heavy, a lot of pressure. So I just want to share that. I don't know what your experience is, what tools you have to ground yourself, but maybe this was a reminder to just ask. If you feel pressure, if you feel grief, if you feel life is heavy, just stop, pause, come back to yourself, listen within, What is my next step? What do I really, really need to do right now? And trust that voice, trust that sensation, trust how— however you experience that inner authority in you, trust it and learn to act on it.
