Chloe Spillane explains portfolio careers, where you combine multiple skills and interests into several income streams instead of one job. She uses her own path as an example: career coaching, content creation, and supporting founders. It removes pressure to fit a single identity, though it can feel chaotic at first.

I've been drawn to the portfolio career topic recently. Now, I don't think this is anything new, but it really resonated with me because it removes the notion that we have to follow the traditional career path and that we're only designated or we're only defined by that one job description. It's about going, what are all the things that I have, all the things that I can offer, and how do I monetize all of that? Now, for someone like me who had a really non-traditional career path and for the last few years has been building up a career coaching business, I do content creation and has now decided to venture to support regional business founders and creatives. I think it removes the pressure of having to be defined as one thing. And for some people, that might seem really exhausting. You're like, I just want to stick to the one thing, move my way up the ladder, do that. But for other people like myself, and I think plenty of us on here, we look at that and go, there are so many things that I enjoy doing and want to be doing. How do I make that happen for me? Because I feel like I'm trapped in a box if I'm just on this one linear path. I think it's brilliant. And there's some really good experts in this space that share a lot of education around it, but I'm definitely gonna start speaking more about it. I don't know how this feels for you guys, but this feels really liberating for me and I'm going to 100% embrace it. Portfolio career, 100% for me. Let's fucking dive in.
