If you're always getting through to the screening call, that means your application is working and they see the potential in you being able to do the job. If you're not getting through the screening call, that means that something is breaking down in the conversation. It usually comes down to a few things. The first one is you're not connecting your skills and experience clearly enough to the role, and the recruiter doesn't see the fit. The second thing is you're not getting the vibe check. This is important. Your energy on the call matters. You need to find a way to connect to that recruiter and be someone that they remember. And number 3, you're most likely underselling yourself. If you don't know how to pitch yourself in the call, you don't know how to sell yourself as to why you are the ideal candidate for that role, how can you expect them to see that? The recruiter only has the information in front of them, which is your resume and what you provide on that call. So if you are not able to connect why you are the obvious choice for that role to the recruiter on that call, you're certainly not getting through to the second round. I'm running my free Interview to Offer Masterclass next week where I'm gonna give you my exact strategies on how to pass that screening call, which I've personally run about over 1,000 of.
