RADICAL SELF ACCEPTANCE

Chloe Spillane spent three years running her business alone because she believed she had to be endlessly strong and self-sufficient. She's now examining why she feared needing others and asking what identities she's clinging to that block her from what she actually wants.

This is what happened when I released myself from the version of me that I was so convinced that I had to be. I always thought I was this, I thought I had to be this hyper-independent, super strong, always resilient kind of woman that never really needed help. Now, I recently realized how wrong that actually was. I know that 3 years into business, I should have hired my first employees over a year ago. And now as I have my first official employee filming me as I'm doing this right now, I know I needed help much earlier than I let on. The hyper-independence. I wore that as a badge of honor. I don't need anyone. I don't need anyone to look after me. I can do everything on my own. What that really was, was a facade because I was too afraid to actually put myself out there. I was afraid of what would happen if I met someone that didn't hurt me. I was afraid of thinking if I attracted the right type of person into my life, the one that I've always dreamt about and thought just didn't exist, what would actually happen? And now that these moving parts are genuinely happening for me, I've realized that it's not something that I need to be afraid of. It's something that I need to embrace and realize that this is what I've wanted all along. Why am I blocking myself from bringing in the things that I actually want? I wanna challenge you to think about this. If you are holding onto a version of yourself that you think you have to be because you're convinced that that's the only way, Why is that the case? Are you trying to protect yourself from the fear of the unknown? And have you given yourself the opportunity to think about not being so tied to the current version of yourself and what that would look like on the other side?
