In this motivational monologue, career coach Chloe Spillane discusses the inevitable fear of judgment and rejection that comes with putting oneself online. She shares personal experiences of being called a "shit career coach" and receiving negative comments on her content, explaining how she has learned to detach from such criticism. Spillane emphasizes that when you reach a large audience, a small minority will always disagree or troll, but the majority—her "lovers"—will appreciate and support the content, creating opportunities. She frames this reality as a fact of life, likening it to an artist releasing music, and encourages viewers to accept mixed reactions, stay open to feedback, and focus on the supportive audience that drives growth and opportunity.

One of the biggest things we fear about putting ourselves online and being seen is judgment, rejection, people disagreeing with us. And as someone who has over a million people look at my account on a monthly basis, I definitely have people that disagree with me. If you look at my most recent reel, the smoothie series, there's plenty of people that say I don't know what I'm talking about, that I give shit advice. Like, there's always going to be someone that wants to tear you down. And the thing is, if you're putting yourself out there to hundreds of thousands of people, to the world, not everyone is going to agree with you. That's just a fact. Think about when an artist puts out music, right? Not everyone likes that artist because everyone has their own opinion and everyone's entitled to it. It used to really impact me when people would, you know, troll me or say that I was a shit career coach and didn't know what I was talking about, and why would anyone pay to work with me? That used to really get to me, but now it like, it doesn't actually impact me. And I respond to everyone and I'm like, look, I'm open to hearing your opinion, this is an open platform, share your opinion. And no one ever replies, of course. But I know that for every piece of content I put out there, there's going to be a lot of people that love it and agree with it, and they're my people, they're the people that I want to work with, they're the people that want to follow me. But there's going to be a small portion that hate it, and there's going to be a small portion that don't like me, and that's okay. That's life. That people are human. Not everyone's going to like you. And the more you can accept that, the better you're going to be at being able to put yourself out there. And once you start putting yourself out there, more of those opportunities are going to come in. Because for every single piece of content I put out there, for every single time I put myself out online, I get the haters, but I get a hell of a lot more lovers. And those lovers are the ones that are bringing me opportunity. Okay.
