THREE THINGS TO DO IN AN INTERVIEW.

Chloe Spillane shares three moves that separate candidates who get offers from those who don't: answer with personality, not just facts; treat the interview as a conversation and ask follow-up questions; and help the hiring manager picture you actually doing the job.

These are the 3 things that the person that gets the offer is doing that you're probably not. Whenever they answer the question, they're not just answering the question from a technical perspective, they're answering it with some kind of feeling, as in they are making that answer relate directly to them and they're showing their personality through that answer. The second thing they do is that they know interviews are not a test, they're a conversation, and that's how they treat them. So whenever they're asked a question, they're going to give their answer and they're most likely going to be asking a question back in relation to that answer. So the conversation keeps flowing, which will then make them feel like more of an equal in that conversation. The third thing they're doing is when Whenever they are asked a specific scenario type question or an experience type question or an approach type question, they are getting the hiring manager to visualize them in their organization. And there is a real skill in being able to do that. So the interviewer, by the end of the conversation, isn't thinking, hmm, I wonder if this person could be right for the role. They're thinking, I can see this person doing this job in this company. The biggest thing you want from that conversation is for them to visualize you in that role and for them to see that value that you are articulating. Benefit them in some way. I'm running a free interview to offer masterclass this month. Comment offer and I'll send you the signup link.
