I'm over 6 months sober. I'm the most regulated that I've ever been, and I'm the most emotionally intelligent. This all started when I implemented some really small habits at the start of this year. They are: my phone is off 1 hour before bed, and I don't touch it from 1 hour upon waking. Every morning, as soon as I wake up, I go for my little Mentee Bee walk. And that, like, I literally might be in my pajamas, but I'll put on a jumper, hoodie, whatever it is, and I just go for a 10-minute walk to clear my head. If I'm feeling any kind of big emotion, whether that's stress, anxiety, anger, sad, whatever it is that's negatively impacting me, I will release it through my body. I had a full rage fit one week where I literally just sat in the car every time after I go to the gym and just screamed for like 30 seconds. It was great. I'm okay, I just had a bit of anger to let out. I move my body every day, and that sounds really cliché, but I do go to the gym most days. And the ripple effect of all of those things is that my relationships are better, my business is doing better than it's ever done, and I feel genuinely so much happier about myself.
