Chloe Spillane breaks down three things that build real interview confidence: believing you can do the job, treating the interviewer as an equal partner rather than a judge, and adopting an abundance mindset so one interview doesn't feel like your only shot.

Something I don't say enough about having confidence in an interview is that it really only comes down to 3 core things. First thing is, do you have enough confidence in your own capability of being able to deliver the job? Because if you don't, how can you expect the interviewer to? Do you believe that you are equal than or less than to the person that's interviewing you? Because if you think that you are not as good as that person in that interview room, you're immediately putting yourself down a notch and you're not treating it like a conversation between 2 adults about a potential partnership. You're treating it like a test. And the final thing is, are you riding everything on this interview, as in this interview being your only chance? Because if you are, then you're putting way too much pressure on yourself and you're not in that abundance mindset. You're in a scarcity mindset. Abundance is, I have this interview, that means I'm going to get another one. Scarcity is, oh my God, this is the only interview that I'm going to get. Shift yourself to this kind of mindset and you're immediately going to start feeling more confident about yourself, which is then in turn going to help you show up more successfully in your interview.
