Two speakers debate whether young men are becoming incels and misogynistic, connecting it to broader cultural breakdown, addiction, and mental-health struggles. One draws on personal experience with long-term sobriety and family mental illness to frame the problem.
What's really happening from your perspective with young men today? Is it as bad as the news paints it out to be like? Are the majority of young men incels and completely lost and misogynistic? What's happened? The kids are.
Okay, that's what I'd say. But the whole world is insane. The death cult of modernity is just breaking down. This is the good news. I'm long term sober. In sobriety. We say you have to hit rock bottom. So the whole of the culture is hitting rock bottom. We're the most insane culture in human history. It's difficult to measure because of self reporting things. But I'd say there's a pretty strong case for that in terms of addiction, self et levels of mental illness of various kinds. That's the case for everyone. However, young men are on the lead edge of that for reasons we can get into. That resonates with me. I basically have bad genetics in some ways. My family is all insane. They're all mystics, soldiers and crazy schizophrenics, multiple suicides, depressives, vegetarians, even really quite mentally unwell people.
As a result, I've had to develop a certain set of skills. I've got.
A certain set of skills. Mine were basically how to stay sane.
