Let's talk about the effects of stress on a man's body, which I think you've talked about. And one of the things that you touched on before.
If you are under a lot of psychological stress, it drastically lowers your susceptibility to feeling pain. We used to think pain is proportionate to how much tissue damage there is, and that is not how it works at all. If you think about pain as a gate, and you can open or close that gate in terms of your sensitivity to pain, one of the biggest levers is psychological stress. In fact, people with fibromyalgia, one of the most consistent aspects of that is they're much more likely to have high levels of psychological stress and poor stress management. We used to think that your brain was connected to your body, which is just a bag of meat. And if you punch the bag, cut the bag, burn the bag, poke the bag, your brain goes, owie. And now we know it's not like that at all. What happens in the mind affects the body. What happens in the body affects the mind.
