Your mind is going to resist moving you into any form of confrontation.
Right? Your brain is designed to be a pattern recognition machine to do one thing, keep you safe. Okay? Things that are uncomfortable are perceived as dangerous in the brain. Even uncomfortable conversations, things where we might be embarrassed, things where we might be rejected, things where a relationship or a social dynamic might be challenged or our brain perceives that as dangerous and if it can't predict the outcome, it's going to try and move us away from that. Okay? So that's the battle that most of us are facing. We're not going to war. We're not fighting on battlefields. The majority of us aren't doing that today. Our battlefield is in here, right? That's where your battlefield is. It's constantly in here. It's with the inner critic. It's with the victim that wants you to bitch out constantly. That's where the battle is.
