Break golf into five parts: tee shots, approach shots, short game, lag putting, short putts. Find which one or two are weak, then fix only those while keeping the rest steady. Vague "bad game" talk wastes time.

If you want to play golf at a high level, it's important to break your game up into its pieces. You're never actually just like playing bad. What's usually happening is your tee shots are bad, your approach shots are bad, your short game's bad, your lag putting's bad, or you're missing short putts. That's it. Like, those are really the only reasons that you're going to struggle. So if you start breaking up the game into categories, which you can actually look at, it's oftentimes it's only one, maybe two things you're really struggling with. So you can kind of understand, well, it's like if I just keep everything else where it's at, make this just a little bit better, I'm gonna be able to turn this round around. And that's really what it takes, is that positivity that's not bullshit, that's actually true because you understand your game and how it works.
