How To Log Your Stats In Circles 1 1

Learn how to record golf stats in the Circles app. Add a round, input course details like par and hole length, then log each shot's distance using a rangefinder or by stepping off (roughly 3 feet per step). The app handles penalties and lets you save incomplete rounds as drafts to finish later.

This video is going to be covering how to track your statistics. And so it's very, very simple. Just go over to this little plus icon. You can also download the app on your phone. It'll look exactly the same. Just add a round. You'll mark whether it's a practice or tournament round, outdoor, simulator, 9 holes or 18 holes, and you'll just name whatever the golf course, um, name is. Then you'll mark whether it's a par 3, par 4, or par 5. You'll mark however long the hole is. So when I say put in this number, this is the length of the tee. Like the, the actual, like, the hole, right? So the number that's on the card. Um, this is not the distance you hit your tee shot. Cannot emphasize that enough. Don't make that mistake. Once you got that, you just got the lie and the distance on every subsequent shot. So when I say the distance, that means you rangefind, you, you laser the flag, that's the number you got back, that's the number you put in here. Once you get to the green, you're going to step off your putts. Um, and when you're around the green, typically you're going to step off your, your chip shots as long, it was like 20 yards or something like that. But you're gonna step off your putts. Typically about 1 step is about 3 feet, so if you take 10 steps, it's 30. Okay, and then again, just step off each one of those. It's that simple. If you have a penalty shot, what you're going to do is you're just going to hit penalty, and then you're going to have wherever your next shot was from. So let's say it was from the tee again, you know, we did out of bounds. then that's how we're going to do that. If you had a lateral hazard, then it would just be, hey, you know, I dropped it and I had 120 yards in, and then we go through the rest of our process here. So hopefully that makes sense. You've got any questions, comment below. Otherwise, this is pretty straightforward. Caveat here, let's say you go out and you can't get in a full round, you know, for whatever reason, daylight savings or something prevents you from being able to get your full round in. What you want to do is just log the number of holes you can and then this will save as a draft here. And what you want to do is just go ahead and mark like, hey, this is a composite round. And then next time you're going through this, you can continue on with one of those random rounds. So if you know, hey, I'm probably not going to get in a full 18, you can still log those rounds and log those holes. Um, just have an open draft that has that kind of running tab for you. That way you don't miss out on any of your data.
