Connor Stirling Peterson breaks down how junior golfers progress through AJGA tournaments. Start with preview events and Junior All-Stars to build points, which gets you into Opens. Play enough Opens to earn exempt status, then compete in Invitationals where college coaches recruit.
Right. You want to start off with the easy stuff. You want to start off with your, you know, just getting your basics. Like, can you score? Then you play in some previews, you play in some junior all-stars, you earn your points. It gets a little bit easier to get into the Opens. You play in the Opens enough time, you get your exempt status. You get your exempt status, you play in these bigger events, you play in the bigger events enough and you do well enough, you get into the Invitationals, you get recruited by a top program. That's the tournament side of this equation. All right.
