When you're unsure on the course, take the shot you're confident in, not the one that looks perfect. Choosing reliable over ideal cuts mistakes and lowers your score.

If you're ever in between shots, pick whichever one you're more certain of. A lot of the time it's easy for us to go and say, oh, I think this is the ideal shot, even though I'm a little bit uncomfortable. Better to take a non-ideal shot that you know you can hit rather than the ideal shot that you're not 100% sure that you can hit. A lot of the time we're just trying to manage our mistakes and trying to hit shots that you don't know if you have is almost a guaranteed way to make at least a few mistakes come out per round. So stick to the stuff you know, and you're going to end up shooting a lot lower scores because of it.
