A golfer argues that chipping and pitching get too much attention. Consistent scores come from solid tee shots, reliable iron play, and putting. Master those four things and you'll score well even with a weak short game.

Unpopular opinion: short game is super overrated. When you think about how you're actually going to shoot close scores and just shoot solid scores in general consistently, it's mostly going to come down to your tee shots, your iron play, and in general your ability to lag putt it close and make your short putts. If you can do those 3, you know, 4 things pretty well, you're gonna be able to score pretty well even if you have a pretty crap short game. So for the most part, make sure ball striking is solid, make sure your lag putting is solid, Make sure your short putting's solid. Don't worry too much about your short game.
