Lag putting from 30-50 feet is the most underrated skill in golf. Consistently getting close on long putts and avoiding three-putts is what separates serious golfers from the rest, and it's the key to lowering your score.

Pretty sure the most underrated skill in golf is lag putting. It's really easy to look at your ball striking, how far you hit it off the tee, um, your short game. But realistically, it's your lag putting that's probably the most important skill and gets strained the most if you're gonna play high-level golf. The reality is you're gonna have to hit a lot of greens in order to shoot low scores, and you're gonna need to capitalize on it. You can't go out there and start 3-putting all the time. That's gonna put way too much stress on your game. So If you want to take your game to the next level, you got to take your lag putting a lot more seriously and get comfortable getting up and down, two-putting from 30, 40, 50 feet, being really comfortable with that. It's going to give you permission to just hit more greens, and that's going to result in you shooting lower scores.
