When you're unsure about a shot on the golf course, play conservative. Aggressive choices in uncertain moments lead to big mistakes. Stick to what you know you can do and you'll keep your score down.

I think one of the most important skills that you need to get good at that no one talks about is your ability to hit shots when you are uncertain. You're not sure exactly how a particular shot's going to go. Being able to say, okay, cool, I know I probably can't be aggressive here. How do I guarantee at least a decent outcome? It's important to understand when you can go for stuff and when you can't, but knowing where your limits are is probably one of the biggest, most important things when it comes to actually shooting low scores, because it's avoiding those catastrophic mistakes from situations where you're just unsure that is the key to lowering your scores.
