Short advice monologue (YouTube-style) on setting and enforcing boundaries when someone screams at you. Speaker outlines two parts: (1) communicate the boundary clearly (e.g., say you won't engage when screamed at), and (2) follow through with consequences (leave the conversation/room/phone and require apology before further discussion).

Hey, my love. So this question is about what do we do when we're setting boundaries when someone is screaming at us? Well, there are two parts of boundaries that I think are really important. One, communicating that boundary and two, actually following through with the consequences if and or when that boundary is actually disrespected or crossed. So one, we need to communicate. When you scream at me, I'm not going to engage with you anymore. That makes me feel uncomfortable. Right. And if they continue screaming, then it is your responsibility to actually create space. You leave the conversation, you leave the room, you leave the house, you hang up the phone and you let them know that you're not going to be having any more conversations with them until they can apologize and actually speak with you correctly. Now, I hope that helps. We got to follow through on those consequences. That's the key here.
