Many of us were not taught how to date. And I was thinking about this last night. I was like, many.

A lot of us were not taught how to date. And then we get mad because these guys don't know how to date. Girl, nobody taught them either. What are. What are they supposed to do?

Yeah. If you were not taught that. How to date. Give me a hashtag. Not taught. Yeah. It's unfortunate that many of us, especially black and brown individuals, were not taught basic life skills, like how to date, how to manage our money. Right. How to disagree.

How to communicate. Some of us. Some of our moms didn't even teach us about periods. No, Shade. This is the work that I've been doing. Why do I know this? I don't know it because I don't have a period, but because I've been doing this work for 13 years. And these are the things that I hear about from my clients in terms of preparing oneself for life. Are, like, hating on them, mad at them, jealous, envious. Girl, those girls that are doing it, ask them what they do. Half of them will probably do it in more manipulative ways. Half of them actually know how to date. Learn from them. Don't hate on them. That's number one. Number two, don't get mad at yourself because dating isn't working. Well. You were never taught how to date. It's like. It's like getting mad at yourself for not being able to perform surgery. But, girl, you never went to med school. What's the expectation here? You went to law school.

So don't get mad because you know how to be a lawyer, but you don't know how to be a doctor. Yeah.

So that's one thing in terms of dealing with these guys. They have to deal with them. Tell your teenage girls to deal with these boys in the same way that they would deal with a younger brother. Give them absolutely no life and don't let them in your room and don't let them in your journal.

32. Like literally research has been done for educated men. They're not ready to even like seriously date and get married until the age of 32 after their second puberty. Now, if they, if you're involved with a non educated man, they'll be ready to get married at 26 because they've lived life since high school. Yeah. So it kind of just depends on like what area you're in. If it's a small town, it's a big town. Most people are getting married post 35 now. Yeah. And that teenage girls should be looking at dating not as the be all, end all, but as like practice for the Next, let's say 20 years until they can really find their person.

What I know about so many black women, especially if you're smart and successful, is that you have been the first for a lot of different things in your family and you probably didn't know how to do it exactly, but you put yourself out there, you learned, you figured it out, and you kept it rockin'. And this is the exact same thing.

Yeah. Gonna have to date. I would start with online dating.

I'm sure many of you have best friends. So I want you to understand that.

You'Ve been able to cultivate amazing relationships with your really great friends. So you have the foundation of actually knowing how it, what it looks like to be in an amazing relationship. Yeah. So you're not starting from zero. I think many late bloomers think that they're starting from zero. They're not. They're probably starting from like a two or three.

First of all, I think it's always important. Many of us after our divorce, we feel like we are a failure. Like, nobody is checking for us. It's a great kind of first step into just like interacting with men on a more romantic and flirty level that maybe we haven't done in a while. And what I mean by that is.

When you gamify something, you actually step away from it and you're not as emotionally invested, which means that you get to protect your heart a little bit. But I always, I'm someone who's heart led.

So I think it's fun. I think it's cute. But it's not a long term strategy that's going to create success in your love life. I don't think.

As someone who gets people into relationships every week, like this week, I had three of my clients get into a relationship and then one of them is moving in with her guy. And then last week it was another three. Yeah, I see it every week. That's not what it sounds like.

I would say most of the time, yes, but there are some times that that's not necessarily the case and you have to kind of just live through it to see which one it is. Maybe we can give like the 8020 rule. I don't have the stats on that, but it's not all the time. But most of the time it is.
