A short YouTube monologue addressing whether the speaker helps Black women reclaim feminine energy. The speaker says many Black women adopt masculine energy as a defensive necessity due to lack of reliable support growing up, explains this impacts dating and intimacy, rejects superficial ‘cosplay’ femininity (makeup/clothes) and emphasizes inner healing—specifically healing the little girl who needed her mother.
Akoka said, do you help black women with feminine energy? I try my goddamn best to. I'm chuckling. I come off aggressive and masculine. A lot of black women are in their masculine energy because unfortunately, they've had to be. They have had to.
They haven't had a lot of people to rely on, and so they've had to rely on themselves. So we. I know if you're in your masculine energy, it's a defense mechanism, especially in dating and an intimate relationship. So it often means that you did not have that feminine, energetic love growing up. So that's the work. Right.
If you are listening to, like, femininity coaches and they're just saying, like, put on some red lipstick and put on a red dress and you're going to be good to go and pretend like you're dumb and that you don't know anything, then that's cosplaying femininity, because it really does have to come from within. And the way that we allow it to come from within is actually to heal the little girl who needed her mother.
So that you can do it naturally so you don't have to perform it. Yeah.
