A short YouTube monologue by Tanika addressing whether men can love. Tanika argues men are capable of love but that falling in love lowers testosterone, which can make men pull back (often around months two to three) because reduced testosterone may interfere with their drive to pursue life goals (example: med or graduate school).
Someone asked, oh, my God, there's so many messages. I am Tanika. Do you think men are able to love? I think that men are definitely able to love. But what happens with men? I think so many women think, oh, my God, he's so scared of commitment. They're scared to fall in love. And when a man falls in love, what happens is that his testosterone decreases, which makes it really hard for him to.
Achieve his life and his goals. That's why if you ever get with a guy in med school or graduate school, I've been in this work for 14 years. It never works out because he will never want to fall in love because it means that he won't probably feel like he can complete med school.
Falling in love for a man is really scary because it reduces his testosterone. It is very possible, but this is why men will pull back between months two and three. If he does that for a couple of days, don't freak out, because he is literally trying to figure out if he can live at this lower level of testosterone.
