A short excerpt from an Anwar White YouTube video (posted March 19, 2024) in which the host answers the question “How do you compliment men?” He distinguishes two broad approaches—appreciation (complimenting actions or choices) and admiration (complimenting the man himself)—and gives quick examples (e.g., praise for following through, compliments about clothing, watches, or shoes).

Taylor said, put the podcast on Spotify. It should be on Spotify. Girl. Just search my name. How do you compliment men? Compliment what they're wearing. Compliment. There are two ways to do it. You can do it through appreciation or you can do it through admiration. Appreciation is complimenting what they, what they do. Admiration is complimenting them based on the men that they are. Right. So does he follow through with something? I love that. I love how you follow through with that.
I mean, if you're just meeting a guy, you can always compliment them on what they're wearing or what, like what's in front of them. I love that. You ordered that, right? I love your taste. I love that watch, girl. Always, always watch or shoes girl. Yeah.
I love that. Where did you get that from?
